Nala cat makes it to SLOVENIA 😻❤️ VLOG #67

We made it to a new country – Slovenia is country number 25 for me and number 24 for Nala 😻 Unfortunately all of the recording devices gave up on me while leaving Zagreb, so we’ve not got any footage of us exiting Croatia & entering Slovenia. We are currently on our way to Ljubljana to get a few things fixed, but on the way there we had to stop at a hotel as we didn’t fancy waking up to a bear going through our stuff, and the weather made us stay another night as keeping Nala dry and comfy is always my top priority ❤️

We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was actually cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet – but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. You coming? You coming? Come on then jump down good girl big jump big jump good girl What’s happening guys hope everyone’s  well out there so we’ve had a wee bit of a nightmare over the last few days, we’ve left Zagreb we’re now in a new country we’re in Slovenia

Which is right next door to Croatia,  it’s absolutely gorgeous but we’ve had problems with the gopro it keeps on switching off and it’s  all updated to the latest software as well the drone got a bug so it wouldn’t let me switch on  the app what else my trailer is starting

To give me problems now because the back bearing  is almost away and it’s just it’s basically done 10 000 miles so you know there’s quite a lot of  wear and tear and all but it’s wobbly quite bad

I’ll show you later when I take the wheel off but when I’m cycling on the bike now the trailer when I’m going downhill and I’m going  quite fast you can feel it shaking about What else and then yesterday so as I was dealing with  all that stuff my memory card erased all the

Data so all the footage from I don’t know leaving  Austria, from Zagreb to here yesterday gone so   Like to say when it rains it pours but even with  all that happening if you look at the positives

The sun is out it’s a beautiful country and me and  Nala are healthy so yeah I can’t really complain Just putting Nala back in the basket  because we’ve got a big dog coming Look how beautiful it is though  it’s just absolutely stunning Lie down there for me and be quiet Shhh Hello

Our plans now are we’re going  to cycle to the next big city which is I think is about  a 2 – 3 day cycle   and we’re going to start getting everything  sorted there, aye, so let’s get cycling Hello *inaudible*

Let’s go girl whoops a daisy Whoops so daisy Right how do we get out of here? Raoooo raoooo raoooo hello Just stopping for a wee snack on the side of the  road starting to get cloudy it’s getting a wee bit

Chilly, got some mixed nuts love them eating  by the bagload and then a couple of energy   bars that my followers gave me who met me  and Nala is having her lunch just in there So yeah have a quick bite to eat, get some water  get Nala watered and then start cycling

Again oh another thing I forgot to tell you this  morning what happened to my last few days my front brakes on my bike are gone so that’s another  thing I need to get fixed in the city so I’ve only  

Got the back brakes on the bike and when you’re  going down the hill it’s not enough so I’ve been   using my foot for a while I know you guys won’t  like hearing that but it is what it is Anyway lunch time

Very cool hotel but tonight I want to try  and find a place to camp so let’s continue Hello Need to stop filming because I don’t have any  breaks on my hand so i need to put the camera away You coming? Raoooo

Starting to lose light now and that cloud  up there you can see the rain breaking in it so I would really quite like  to have my tent set up by then but

So I was just going to jump in here and just camp  in these woods but then I seen the sign and I’m so glad i’ve seen it Big brown bears in there  Well maybe I don’t actually know what it says  

But it’s one of the things I don’t know enough  about so I don’t want to go in and risk it   Aye so I think it’s going to be a hotel  the night I’m not camping in woods with big brown

Grizzly bears and you don’t know what’s happening  with them during global warming if they’re even hibernating now anyway and stuff like that and  deforestation so they might be getting closer to the outsides of the forest so aye let’s find the  hotel now and let’s give this camping spot a miss

So just starting to lose light and there’s a hotel  5 miles away so I’m gonna go there just see if they’ve got any rooms for the night got the  lights on and it’s starting to rain a wee bit  

As well so I’ve put Nala’s cover over her but that’s another job I want to do in the city is change   that velcro just for wee pop buttons so it’s going  to be busy when we get there aye let’s crack on

This sign even has bears on it I would love to  see a bear as well especially in the wild but aye, maybe not when I’m camping not a good idea anyway the hotel was just here so Fingers crossed they’ve got a room You all good? There we go Jump Number two

First floor, there’s one Yeehey perfect good bathroom what do you think Nala? It’s got a kitchen as well? Let’s  have a look oh look at that Look at this yes 40 pound the  night not too bad and I mean  

As I said you don’t want to be camping in the woods with  the bears so aye perfect anyway the fun part   of the trip I get to go downstairs while I leave Nala so I can bring all the bags up  

So I might actually leave the gopro here  and just see what she does when I’m away *Nala meowing – 27 times* *Nala meowing again* Perfect wee place even got a  kitchen ideal what do you say you tired? So yeah when we’re checking in the  boy said to us, he’s like just one night?

I was like yeah cycling again tomorrow and he  said it’s going to be raining all day supposedly Checked my weather app on the phone just now  and yep it’s forecast to rain all day tomorrow

And if it’s going to be like that well I think  we’re going to stay here for an extra night but we’re just going to make that decision  in the morning and then after the rain the

Temperature of Slovenia well the bit we’re in anyway  is dropping all the way down it’s got like -9 (C) -6, -4 so it’s going to get cold  so aye, I’m gonna have my dinner play with Nala a wee bit  

And we’ll see you in the morning to see  what the weather’s like Good Night Goooooood morning guys well I got a brilliant sleep  last night but unfortunately the weather man was   right last night and today it is absolutely  pouring it down so we’re gonna stay in this

Hotel for one more night hopefully it clears  up for tomorrow so we can start cycling again but yeah we’re just gonna have a chilled  day I’m gonna put this on Nala that’s her   polka dot rain jacket we’ve not tried it yet so  I think the rain might be a wee bit too heavy

For us both but just gonna put this on and take  out a wee walk just to get some fresh air anyway so yeah quick walk and then probably back in  here and just chill the rest today so let’s go

Nah that’s too wet for her even to go in  the rain jacket she’s just not wanting to let the rain touch her at all Ohhhh yuck Yuck Aye, we made the right choice by staying inside  the day if we went on the bike would have just

Been all their stuff would have been just soaked  and then tomorrow’s meant be really cold as well so it’s really hard to get everything dry when  it’s all damp what do you think are you happy? What do you think about our new  polka dot rain jacket do you like it?
