Jeez don’t go in there 44 we’re fumigating what why were you just in there it’s only that Gator I got I keep going out of stock for how long till we order more no how long are you fumigating for where am I supposed to sleep your kind

Sleeps take the test T go camping or Something the inherent maneuverability of a two whe vehicle equips riders with the means necessary to reach otherwise inaccessible places to sleep outside the act of which is known colloquially as Moto camping here are three ways to do It I love BC in the fall many of you work from home these days but I live at work and I just might never go back go back to vancou oh 44 you’re on your own Where the Wild Things sh you’ll find your home just like a fire you’ll be all

Right 44 you find your like three CL Night okay no real r rain tonight ground’s dry enough and I don’t have a bivvy but the bugs aren’t too bad a tarp and a sleeping bag is all that’s needed for a minimalist Moto camper to get the job done the job being to Simply sleep until dawn

Is the sil tarp offers plenty of options for simpler shelters this one’s a siltarp plus solo it comes with a few extra anchor Loops six staks and some cinchable plastic Hardware in case you don’t know your knots these are lighter and take more tension than standard tarps because

They’re made from a siliconized 30d Cordura and with a polyurethane coating they’re so hydrophobic you can get them damn near dry with a few shakes packing this light keeps weight off off your bike but it also helps you get a sense of really getting away from

It all as opposed to bringing it all with You but Moto camping doesn’t have to mean Moto surviving got 125 cc’s in a high low gearbox why not head to town and grab a coffee kit and a bit more coverage for round [Applause] two this little Riverside spot looks perfect for snuggling up next to our seed in the noad tent made for Riders by the Riders at AEL Brown though it does look a little precarious and ready to bury us under the weight of our Chariot if the ground softens up in an evening

Storm it’s a good thing the folks at AEL Brown dropped this shiny solution in the bag for us not to mention the most unnecessarily badass user manual I’ve ever seen and I’ve made a few so Sick Now The Nomad is motorcycle specific not because it’s ideal for motorcycles but because motorcycles are ideal for it to stay Upright it’s got a flap to keep your bike seat and most of the guts dry but sure a separate tarp or a garbage back could do that and it’s nice to have this much room and not need to carry poles but it does feel like our tent should

Work for our bike instead of the other way [Applause] around too heavy do I really need a portable garage nah there’s got to be a better way to let your bike and gear dry out overnight best not lose sleep over it since my bike doesn’t have a refrigerator on it I like like to use a

Little bit of weekend milk to take the edge off my morning breakdown Routine setting up and Breaking Down The Nomad tent is a breeze but we had some rain last night and water does seem to stick to it pretty bad so sleeping on wet ground is messy that’s why for night three I found a way to get above it all Oh Yeah This is the Hennessy Hammock the Survivor Man Edition no less and it solves a few problems that the other setups do not typically the problem with sleeping in a hammock and cold weather is the compression of your bag’s insulation it lets the cold cut right through to your

Butt cheeks but this rig has a pocket for a foam barrier that alleviates that making this a Four Season shelter and a hammock allows you to park your bike underneath you so you both can stay dry beneath the rain climb only this way you come out on top instead of

Sleeping in the crush Zone and if there are no trees you can still use it like a tent with a few moves we learned from the siltarp but of course the swing is K now I’m no less stoud I’m just a number but even an indentured adventurer

Like myself can appreciate this level of Versatility especially when it gently rocks you to sleep at night like you’re a an original baby human sorry allergies we’ve all been on a trip or two where the definition of the word camping varied among participants you know the one where margerie brought her dehydrated fruit

Her titanium hiking poles and her altimeter watch and then Jeremy shows up with 30 beers a Bluetooth speaker and no water but the difference between what you want and what you need is what you can fit on your motorcycle so let’s do a side by-side comparison here and look at the numbers

The sil tarp costs $145 weighs 392 G or 86 lb and packs down to the size of a decent hogy if all you need is to stay dry and to sleep through the night just grab a burrito and go feed the mosquitoes The Nomad tent cost $345

Weighs 1,500 G or 3 lb 5 oz and fits in a shoe box if you want a little more space of protection and trust your parking job with your life then go Taiwan on in the woods now the Survivor Man solution cost $480 weighs

2548 G or5 9 o and packs down into a bag slightly bigger than the Nomad but for my money I’m swinging toward the Hennessy Hammock so next time somebody bug bombs your bedroom without a warning hop on your bike and make a weekend of it thanks for watching don’t tell Ryan I

Cried oh 44 with strong you find your home just like the fight you’ll be all right oh 44 your

    1. I have never heard it called weekend milk before. That was hilarious.

The problem with these is (other than the hammock) that they offer no real protection from the elements. Even the hammock requires trees or other structures which eliminates some locations.

Would a regular small tent be a better option? It may be slightly larger but it offers much more protection. Plus I have heard of guys just parking their bike in the tent.

    2. My idea of motocamping: load the Tundra with everything I might need; put the DRZ on the tail rack; drive into the Los Padres NF; set up a well equipped camp site, then rort around the area on the bike. Rough it? No way. I want a shower and decent meals.

    3. If you want your bike dry ten a simple tarp would be enough right? Get a tent for yourself and your done. Those tents with a garage seem just like alot of hassle to put up and take up a lot of space. Maybe heavy and bi to carry as well.

    4. In Central and South Ameríca those 2 tends dont work, because here are a lot of mosquitos, a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you cant survive with those 2 first "tends".
Naturehike is best to use to travel adventures in Central and South América.

    5. The dual sport parked outside the garage in the opening scene looks like an interesting build. Looks like something air cooled with 2 into 1 exhaust, and a painted steel fuel tank. Is anyone able to identify it?

Regarding camping, trees are sometimes difficult to come by, and leaving my gear out on the ground isn't always wise. I've slept on the ground with no shelter, but I've also woken up with what appeared to be two spider bites on my face. It was swollen for days. A mid-priced, good quality, 2-3 man tent gives me more options for more conditions. However, I am considering packing one of those silnylon tarps along with the tent on my next trip.

    6. Couldn’t pay me to sleep underneath my motorcycle leaning towards me… what a terrible idea! Also, weekend-milk should most assuredly be refrigerated as well haha

    7. I once went motorcycle camping, I was the only one on a bike, which was good because I didn't pack enough water, or any food. I didn't think about the food until I got there. Lucky others supplied the food.

    8. I watch every F9 video, yet somehow 5 months ago I missed this. Now, I'm starting to believe in alien abductions and time lapses because there's no way I would have skipped this one.

    9. A hammock I use that I recommend is called haven tent. Flat bottom hammock woth a insulator pad, bug net, and rain fly. Best sleep in a hammock I've ever had
