Although we might associate Italy with the boutique, Germany with the functional, or Taiwan with complex engineering, all these qualities can still be found in brands which are proudly British and compete equally on the world stage.

    1. Clearly as the title says, this is about brands and not British manufacturing. I'd rather this type of video qualified the "British" claim with whether theyre actually made here. There seems a huge number of marketing companies branding imported technology and making claims of British design without much real British input. Really, a true British manufacturer is much harder to find and would be more interesting to learn about. I remember asking the guys at hope where their light components came from; only the aluminium casings are made in Barnoldswick. All the gubbins is imported and then assembled at hope… not so bad, but it doesn't really tick Made in Britain for me, unlike their main components. It doesn't change my shopping habits though; I love hunt wheels for example. I just wish these claims were accurate and not spurious, misleading marketing BS.
