Mokwheel bietet mit dem Mesa Lite 2.0 ein neues E-Bike an – und zwar in gleich zwei Modellvarianten. Konkret ist das Fahrrad so auch in der Modellvariante ST zu haben, welches dann als Tiefeinsteiger einen wesentlich höheren Komfort beim Auf- und Absteigen verspricht. Beide Modellvarianten bringen eine umfangreiche Ausstattung mit.
So handelt es sich quasi um Trekking-E-Bikes – allerdings ohne Federgabel. So kommt eine Starrgabel zum Einsatz, gegen Aufpreis ist immerhin noch eine Federsattelstütze erhältlich. Die Ausstattung umfasst Schutzbleche vorne und hinten ebenso wie einen Gepäckträger im Heck und auch eine Beleuchtung fehlt nicht. Damit lässt sich das E-Bike sicher und legal in der Nacht und Dämmerung nutzen.
Der in der Hinterradnabe verbaute Motor soll es auf eine Leistung von 250 Watt bringen und wird über einen Drehmomentsensor gesteuert. Damit soll der Motor tatsächlich auf die vom Nutzer aufgebrachte Kraft und nicht etwa nur in Abhängigkeit von der gewählten Unterstützungsstufe reagieren. Im Resultat könnte sich eine besonders natürlich wirkende Unterstützung durch den Motor ergeben. Der Akku mit seinen 529 Wh ist im Unterrohr integriert, wodurch sich eine recht cleane Optik ergibt. Die Reichweite gibt Mokwheel mit zwischen 40 und 60 Kilometern an – in Anbetracht der Kapazität entspricht dies einer recht geringen oder zumindest konservativen Angabe.
Vorhanden ist eine Shimano-Kettenschaltung mit sieben Gängen. Vorne und hinten sind Scheibenbremsen montiert, welche nur mechanisch und nicht hydraulisch reagieren – die Einstellung von mechanischen Scheibenbremsen ist immerhin ganz ohne Spezialwerkzeug möglich. * Turney ist an sich die Low End Schaltung von Shimano. Bei dem Preis des Rades aber auch nichts anderes zu erwarten
* Mit 26,5 KG ist es ein Normalgewichtiges Pedelec
* 135 KG Gesamtgewichtsbelastung ist Standard und keine Besonderheit. Wichtig: Heißt Rad + Fahrer + Gepäck = 135kg.
* Weiße Speichenreflektoren sind nicht im Straßenverkehr zugelassen.
* Was ist wenn etwas mit der Elektronik ist? Gibt es da Fachhändler für?
* Hupe ist nicht zulässig – außer es ist ein S-Pedelec (Sollte man mmn. aber zulassen)
* Mechanische Scheibenbremsen haben eine vergleichbare Bremskraft wie Mechanische Felgenbremsen.
