This already used to be normal in the time before mobile phones. And still, nowadays some people say it's dangerous. I think it's more dangerous to lock up your children and make them dependant on the parents for everything.
as a Dutch man i just loved riding my bike in ( bad ) weather )) the ice and snow was the best thing ever !! and if you can ride your bike in those kind of conditions you know you can ride !!
this remember me of the time that i was at my brothers to some chores, , my nephew came up with his friends, for picking up his bike to go to the swimmingpool. it was like " hi uncle ed, grap his swimming pool stuf, and said bye uncle "came bacl a few hours later. had a great time with his friends. no problems at all. ( het was 11 years old )
Why would cycling long distances to school be risky? They know how to ride a bicycle and also the rules of the road. And then, you learn from your mistakes. Those mistakes may hurt a bit, but you'll survive. 😀
Children cycle from about 5-7 years old.
I had to cycle 12 km to school.
Life is dangerous. Cycling in the Netherlands isn’t that dangerous.
Remember that most car drivers are cyclists too. They know how to be careful with cyclists especially children. Of course there are idiots within the car drivers who don’t but every country has those idiots. The Dutch cycle path infrastructure is made to keep those drivers away from cyclists if possible.
Isn't that channel babyonabike ?? They recently, after a long pause uploaded a new video, of a 4 day bike tour. Very interesting pov in my opinion.
