I got an exclusive tour of enduro mtb trails in Czech Republic near Brno. I had zero expectations and the trails took me by surprise! It was super sketchy and off camber with many steep chutes.

This is my first mountain bike ride in Czech Republic. I’ve only done xc before and a few days at Spicak (a downhill bikepark) but I had heard there was a good enduro scene. I met Tucnak (who showed me about) in Italy and we’re both from the same area in Czech so he offered to show me around his local spot.

The vlog has POV trail footage with the Go Pro Hero 9. We covered around 22km and 900m of elevation with a mixture of pedal climbs or push ups. The location is unofficial as with many Czech mtb trails so exact location will not be disclosed. It is in the Moravia region. The vlog gives an idea of the style of enduro trails in Czech and what to expect. I believe there is also a lot of good mtb riding in the north, close to the border with Poland. That will be for another trip!

Other more well known trail areas are Trutnov trails and Klinovec.

    1. I live in Brno Venkov right next to the single track and Brno is surprisingly rich pickings for MTB. There is actually three legal trail systems (including the world cup track) in and around the city plus a really good tarmac pump track. I average about 350-400m of elevation over 10km so it's a lot of up and down but plenty of fun if you know where to look!

    2. I'm from town that's 2 hours away from there but I've not ridden in czech for about 20 years now 🤦🏽‍♂️😢 sometimes you forget how amazing the place is for MTB. Makes me wanna do a summer trip lol

    3. Thats the spirit of czech enduro

We really don't have that many Finale Ligure landcapes with long fast chunky descents. Instead we have these loose, slow, twisty, drifty conditions. Many of our trails have unreasonably off camber switchbacks or are wery slow twisty in general.

Getting through some of these tracks is really slow twisty, tech and very exhausting… you feel exhausted even that you did not cover that much distance. Its nasty techy fight against shitty nature 😀 Especially at racing pace its a shitstorm.

If you think you can nail every scatchy turn consider challenging yourself with our messy czech trails.

    4. Where is that trail! Looks amazing.. I'm going to the Beskydy mountains in a couple of weeks, to look for some MTB tracks
      Yeeeeeee haaaaaaa!
