I have always been under the impression that when using cotter pins you should put them in so that when pedaling you are putting power into the wedge rather than the nut
Excellent video Rowan, nicely informative and great for us to have you chatting all things real bikes for the best part of an hour. Stay safe and well.
Enjoyed the video. Very satisfying to sort issues and get everything working as it should. Regarding spacers around the rear sprocket – I put them back on as they came off but in one or two situations I have swapped the dish round and moved spacers to stop snagging the seat stay or chain guard with the larger sprocket and chain. Seems fairly forgiving with 1/8 chain though must be slightly out of alignment. Thoughts?

As for the fundamental lube innuendo, I recall you saying in your fleet review that a mate loved your BJ and liked an upright position. Titter ye not.
All out of breath. Just for the likes of us Velocipedians? Respect Rowan. Ride on.😊

Yep, something I always do and always regret is working on the bike before the paint has dried/hardened.
Great video! I just acquired a Bob Jackson recently. I only knew about them because of this channel.
