[Laughter] [Applause] He oh [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Oh okay welcome everyone to the Sasquatch Outpost podcast I’m your host Jim Meyers and we’ve got a great program for you tonight I hope you’re going to enjoy it and I want to say hey to a bunch of you who are already in the chat uh Wayne

Is there Wayne I got I’m going to talk a little bit about experiences some experiences Wayne and I had last weekend Jeff Jill hey Jill hope you’re feeling better Jill and and uh Ralph have got flu or coid or both uh Patricia as always Doug coo John

Aers hey it’s good to have all of you tonight with us I really appreciate you joining us and any others who I missed and thank you Patricia for your super sticker you’re very faithful with those stickers and we appreciate them before I get to my guest who I’m

Very excited about having on this evening uh just want to tell you about I I think I mentioned last week that I was going to go hunting for elk and Wayne Wasa came with me kind of a hold down Camp while I was um out hunting I’m not a huge solo Hunter I

Don’t I don’t love hunting by myself there’s lots of reasons for that but it was nice to have someone in Camp who I could communicate with by walkie-talkie and uh I was telling Wayne in French they call him talkie walkies just the opposite I don’t know why but anyway we could communicate by

Walkie-talkie so I knew if there was an emergency or something I could get him and he could hop on the quad or in his truck whatever the case may be but so we we went uh we went hunting in unit 28 which is up by uh Frasier tabernash that area and we

Drove up we we set up camp at about 10,000 feet and we set up camp next to a big Reservoir that I guess is used a lot um gosh I’m trying to remember the name of that Reservoir uh something Creek Reservoir I’ll think of it but anyway it’s very popular in

The summer apparently but not nobody up there now and there was a good bit of snow and there were toilets there that were open because the forest service leaves them open until 15th of this month when they shut the whole road down and nobody can get up there

Anymore uh so we thought oh this is great we’ll just Camp next to public toilets that we can use we don’t have to dig holes or do anything like that what I didn’t realize is that maybe you guys knew this but a reservoir when it’s freezing makes all kinds of noise and

Williams Creek maybe it was Williams Creek Reservoir yeah could have been um and so as it’s freezing and cracking you’re you’re hearing these sounds that that Wayne and I said it sounded like alien alien something so it’s kind of going all these noises all the time all

The time day and night well from the first night we were there we we were hearing all these noises and we honestly I’ll be honest I I’ll put this on me not on Wayne I thought we were we you’re hearing a Sasquatch all night long because some of the

Sounds sound did not sound like a reservoir although I didn’t expect to hear any of the sounds we heard they were bizarre but apparently this is very common Wayne looked it up after we got home and I looked at the YouTube they sent me and sure enough sounded just like what we were

Hearing um but you can show the picture of the reservoir there Tammy that that’s the the reservoir it’s a good size I mean it’s not a tiny little place and so um there’s I’m going to play for you one of the sounds that um that we heard that we heard that we

Thought was a Sasquatch and you’ll see why so you can play Lake noise and let’s just listen to that so waai an hour just talking and I’m sharpening some knives and we heard this yell come from across the reservoir long yell and there’s nobody up here when we

Drove up here there were no tracks for the last two or three miles no car tracks so there’s nobody and it’s deep snow you get out in those trees so I could have been a Sasquatch wow so let me let me um back that up just a second so what you’re hearing

Is we’d already heard a bunch of noises so Wayne decides he’s going to reply so Wayne goes woo and then the next sound is just the lake sound it just was circumstantial that it happened right after he did his woo so the first one is Wayne the next one is the

Lake but that you can’t imagine how loud that was that whoa and it doesn’t sound anything like a lake it sounds like something barking or roaring across the other side so we were hearing that all night who whoa who and we’re like man is that Sasquatch and it’s making a lot of

Noise and it’s doing it regularly all night long well thankfully Wayne after we were sitting there talking and trying to figure this out Wayne goes could it be the ice and as soon as he said that I thought Bing I’ve been out ice fishing and I’ve heard these sounds before

And it’s it’s freaky when you’re on the ice and you’re hearing sounds that’s cracking and you know but it sounded like it sounded like a Sasquatch barking in but it was the ice because we would be standing on the on the edge of the lake and we’d hear

Theong bong and then it’s all coming from under the water and the surface of the ice so uh we answered that question but that’s not the only thing that happened so the first night we were there okay first of all we froze our asses off I’m telling you it got down we

Had Wayne’s popup which is great it’s great to have a popup but it’s just you know it’s just zipped up canvas that’s the all the sides are and it got down to five or six that night and it was freezing we were in our sleeping bags

Warm enough in our sleeping bags but if you had to get up to pee or you uh the first night the first morning after the night I’m gonna play something that happen during the night but the first morning um Wayne says I somebody coming in Camp no I forgot all about the public

Toilets that were there I’m just thinking this is our camp nobody can come in in the middle of night into our camp without consequences so um so he goes I hear somebody I hear a car he said I hear people walking around and so I’m listening and I’m getting mad and uh

So I’m like what the heck with this you know so I jump out in my Long John’s Barefoot six degrees outside jump out of the of the popup and I grabbed my pistol and I had it behind my back and I said can I help

You and the guy is just coming out of the John he goes just using the bathroom I thought okay I guess I’ll get back in the popup then since uh there’s nothing going on out here but I honestly thought somebody was coming in with ulterior motives but anyway that first

Night this is what we heard and this was real and so I’ll have Tammy play [Applause] [Applause] sh and it was just that loud inside the popup and so I’m thinking I’m gonna get up at 500 am I’m gonna go out by myself with all that out there and I’ll be honest the coyotes uh so keep an on the time the coyotes I understood but

There were other sounds in the midst of the coyotes that didn’t sound like coyotes and I don’t know Wayne I don’t know what it was but it was loud it was loud here’s the weird thing uh the second night or the last night I can’t remember if the second

Night was our last night I get up at 4:30 a.m. we had closed the door to the popup locked it with multiple locks he has a Wayne has a a deadbolt that’s glued to the bottom of the door bolts down into the floor I get up at 4:30

A.m. get down to to start up our little heater and the door is wide open the door of the popup is wide open and I’m like dude the door’s open and I mean how that door got open with without us um hearing it I mean you had

To force that pretty hard to open and neither of us heard anything my wife said were you guys sleepwalking and I thought it’s possible but we never heard each other get up or Sleepwalk um Wayne’s a pretty light sleeper he’s always the one that wakes

Me up if there’s something going on so I don’t know that door was wide open I don’t know who opened it or what opened it and I’m thinking yeah no wonder it’s so cold in here that little heater can’t compete against this air just pumping in the the door so

Anyway and you know the Moose are in rut right now and so I’m out there five o’clock by the time I get out there in the dark walking hiking in in the snow and I’m thinking man if a bull moose decides he doesn’t like the sound

Of this and he can’t he rushes me I’m in trouble um I couldn’t help thinking about that thought but um nothing happened and no elk were killed in the making of this video so uh didn’t even see anything didn’t see anything so but I do want to make a plug here for Wayne

On his behalf um Wayne spent two years when he was in his eight late teens 18920 uh let’s see I can get it where you can see it says without the light wild Genesis and it’s the account Wayne left Southern California with his best friend George they flew to Canada they bought

Horses guns ammo supplies and rode six weeks into the Wilderness of British Columbia and then built a cabin and stayed Wayne stayed there two years his friend stayed a year I’m not going to give away some of the surprises in the book but while Genesis um you can Wayne send us a note

Tell us if you can get it on Amazon or from you or where where people need to go to buy great book Wayne kept a journal every day that he was gone and it’s it’s his journal and in two years in the middle of nowhere he never saw any sign of

Sasquatch never thought about Sasquatch didn’t even know about Sasquatch nothing I mean they were out there Grizzlies wolves all that happened cougars no Sasquatch I’m like dude how’s that possible but he said listen it was a good thing on Amazon okay it was a good thing I didn’t know about Sasquatch

Because it would have changed how I felt about being out there in the wilderness so better or worse he didn’t know about Sasquatch so so uh I’m going to introduce our guests briefly and then we’re going to show a quick promo and then we’re going to

Bring him in but Alex pacov is is my guest I’ve known Alex for a few years Alex is a filmmaker Explorer um crypted researcher uh he’s done quite a few documentaries for small town monsters independent film company that you’ll hear more about tonight and then in a

Few weeks when I interview the uh the director um Seth Breedlove but uh Alex has has done a number of of documentaries we’re going to look at a few of them tonight and we’re going to hear about some of the things that have happened to him in the filming of these

Sasquatch documentaries so let’s go ahead and play the uh promo there and then we’ll bring Alex in hey Untold radio network fans want exclusive perks and to support our Channel introducing our YouTube membership program with three amazing levels get loyalty badges that level up to different Cryptids the

Had a few moments like that in the field myself too and I’ve learned that actually over the years what coyotes do is apparently they can change their uh vocal range or whatever it is to sound like there’s more than maybe there’s five or six and they’ll make it sound

Like there’s a dozen I mean that doesn’t mean there isn’t a dozen but they apparently do that it’s some kind of a strategy but that’s pretty cool and I actually remember you telling me about some of the stories that Wayne had um so that’s pretty cool that there’s a book

Now I’ll have to check that out myself oh it’s a great book I I’m I’m not just promoting it because Wayne’s my buddy but it’s a very good book very well written um it’ll keep you going the whole time there’s some pretty insane things that happen to them out there in

The wilderness and uh he asked me while we were out there so if it was you and you were 18 or 19 and I suggested we go to Canada together for two years would you have gone I was like I don’t know I don’t know tough especially at that age because well

You’re you think you’re Invincible at that age but also you’re going six weeks into the Wilderness I mean you can die a hundred different ways oh yeah and and he said he and George talked about okay if I die this is what I want you to do

With my body while I’m up here you know I mean they had to talk about that because oh yeah anything you can get sick you can get injured you can get killed by they had Grizzlies they had wolves they had cougars they had and they encountered all this and uh so yeah

Very good book highly recommend it so I hope I hope uh Wayne can sell a few copies tonight just from from that and I I don’t promote things lightly um I really enjoyed his book and I hardly recommend it so so tell us a little bit about you Alex about your background

Maybe and where you’re from and sure yeah uh originally I guess my family’s from the Southeastern part of Europe the Balkan Peninsula so the former Yugoslavia my parents ended up leaving there before I was born due to Civil War in the 1990s so they went to South Africa and that’s where I was

Actually born and I know we’ve talked about that before um you obviously have some connections to Africa yourself so uh that always and I grew up hearing stories and I was actually only about three when I left South Africa so we came to the US in the late 90s so I

Don’t really remember anything from South Africa but I grew up with these stories my parents told me about uh biking next to elephants on the border with Zambia and all this kind of you know my dad having to break a bottle to fight a trying to come and steal me I mean I

Grew up all these crazy stories and I think that inspired a little bit of my adventurousness and wanting to create stories myself I my parents told me one story where they were you know she was like seven months pregnant with me and they’re hiking in the drabber mountains

Going to see ancient Bushman paintings and it started raining and they got stuck and she’s like you know the things you do when you’re young and dumb and I’m pregnant we’re stuck in the mountains looking for Bushman paintings I mean that kind of stuff is obviously

Now it’s it’s cool to hear afterwards in the moment terrifying but so you know I was born in South Africa that inspired a lot of my um kind of want for adventure but I grew up on the east coast of the US in the beautiful little State of New

Hampshire which is a lot of people aren’t very familiar with it it’s very low population but it’s extremely forested it’s the second most forested state in the US after Maine which is our neighbor uh the Appalachian Trail goes through here it’s some of the more rugged mountains on the East Coast I

Mean they don’t really compare yeah they don’t compare so much to The Rock but the White Mountains especially Mount Washington it’s killed hundreds of people uh has some of the worst weather in the US it’s very rugged I’ve met people who have come from out west out

Here in hiked and been surprised at how rugged it is it’s even even more so than the Smoky Mountains down south so it’s all part of that Appalachian chain but let me ask let me interrupt you just for a second um uh one of the listeners was

Saying your volume’s a little low can you yes absolutely let me uh let me just see why that is happening you sound good to me but it doesn’t always sound to me the same as it sounds okay how’s how’s that oh that’s better I think that probably sounds better yeah John is that

Better sorry about that yeah my for some reason streamyard changes my audio settings all the time know I know it’s just been happening like the past couple months because I’ve been live streaming using streamyard since 2020 and I’ve never had issues before but all these new updates but um yeah anyway know just

To finish up you know awesome awesome glad to hear uh just to finish up about myself yeah just I grew up in New Hampshire and I gained a love for the outdoors and in a state like New Hampshire there’s not a lot to do except for outdoor recreation so there’s

Camping hiking fishing that sort of thing so uh did a little bit of survival training in high school and naturalism learning how to kind of live off the land and uh backpacked and hiked and that’s sort of uh kind of how my love for nature started cool

Well how did you I know you you do some uh films with small toown monsters I I don’t assume that’s the only group you do films with but um how did you get to meet Seth or get involved with smalltown monsters yeah I’ve actually known Seth

Now since about 2016 um I have always been interested in Cryptids ever since I was young my dad told me the story of the Yeti and I was on a ski trip in the mountains and it just kind of the whole idea said there there has to be

Something out there and I grew up the ’90s so I was watching a lot of the documentaries back then the ins search of X Files was popular at the time Animal X later monster quest of course oh yeah uh Doug who runs the channel so

That was a big influence I read a lot of that stuff grown up too the the Lauren Coleman’s and the John Greens and all the classic kind of Bigfoot encrypted literature Ivan Sanderson Etc uh and it wasn’t until I actually got out of school I graduated in 2015 I started to

Kind of I I have a degree in communication so I did a lot of video work and I knew knew I wanted to work sort of in digital media and advertising and stuff I was doing for a while and that’s just not very fun um not what I

Wanted to do but I just started doing videos on the side my own documentaries I actually got a chance to visit Loch Ness in 2015 and I did a short like 12 minute documentary on it and for it’s I look at it now and I can’t even watch it

It’s so bad I mean it’s almost almost a decade later we’ve done in the past I I hear you it’s it’s like cringeworthy but for some reason at the time Seth uh Seth Breedlove came across it online and he said hey I’d love to show it at our

Manura Monster Day event and they did an event uh in the fall of 2016 so I actually went out to um Ohio and I met him and I went to The Moth Man festival in West Virginia too and started to get to know him then and uh I did a series

Called on the trail of champ in 2017 came out in 2018 which is about the Lake Champlain monster sure yeah so kind of America’s lock Nest I actually have a poster of it right up here on the wall that was cool so that was my first sort

Of uh bigger documentary and then I just started doing documentaries and and little short documentaries for my YouTube channel Sasquatch out of the shadows and it wasn’t until about 2020 we T Seth and I started talking about doing uh because I had worked on a bunch

Of STM films so I was I was I would do crew stuff I would do some films with Seth and the guys but we talked about doing a kind of series and we were kicking around some ideas and that’s where at the time it was beyond the

Trail now it’s Bigfoot beyond the trail but they’re kind of interchangeable the idea for that came about and we started that in 2021 so uh it’s going on uh about three years now uh in we filmed I filmed the first one in January of 2021

So it’s been a wild ride since then so how many films have you made with Seth now I can’t even count uh you know the ones I’ve done with him it’s been a handful of the kind of mainstay STM films that you might see on Amazon and other places like Momo the Missouri

Monster or the on the trail of Bigfoot series is that’s kind of I’m usually a member of those but I think we’re up to 30 something W on the trail films and we’ve gone pretty much Coast to Coast across North America at this point uh focused on gosh I mean obviously you

Were in one of the first ones actually which is really was that one of the first that was I think the third or fourth yeah wow I didn’t know that we started with one in my home state of New Hampshire then there was one in in neighboring Maine then we went to Bluff

Creek which was a really exciting one we did Oregon kind of the Mount Hood area Cliff Berman and his area yeah um and then we went to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado we hung out with you and I saw Jill in the chat earlier I believe which

Is super exciting because uh we got to spend time with Jill which was uh really an awesome time I’d love to get back out there at some point um and then well hey we’ve we’ve got we can show that Rocky Mountain promo here that’s yeah I I

Wanted to send that to you because that’s one of my favorite promos I’ve ever done because it just it felt like a western to me so yeah so let’s go ahead and show that Tammy and we’ll we’ll carry On So maybe that’ll wet some appetites of those watching if they haven’t seen the the uh actual uh movie it it was well done um does Eli still travel with you so Eli does his own series now he does something called Mysteries and Monsters or Monsters and Mysteries I never am

Able to get that right it’s also on the smalltown monsters channel so uh because we have so much kind of going on with STM I do obviously my series I’ve started another series that’s Alaska related that I’m sure we’ll talk about Seth also has a series called Sasquatch

Une Earth that he does and that’s primarily very interview uh witness and researcher heavy whereas beyond the trails kind of just follows my personal investigation so I’m sure you recognized in that promo of course uh big George is that no what do you call him not big George um your Bigfoot there the

Animatronic guy oh uh the boss the boss okay I was thinking of anyone who’s watching that who doesn’t know about that might think man how’d they get that video yeah so that’s just a fun promo so that video came out in the fall of 2021

So just about two years ago Jim is in that uh Jill as well who’s in the chat um a bunch of other people in Colorado uh that we got to Leah uh as well Jason Frank uh so that was a fun adventure it was kind of a compilation of just some

Adventures in Colorado and since then we’ve been you know up and down the East Coast Pacific Northwest to Alaska pretty heavily down to Florida skunkape Louisiana all kinds of stuff so it’s been it’s been a super fun Journey for myself of course kind of getting to go to those Sasquatch Bucket List locations

Sure well let’s talk a little bit about the movie you made in Colorado um you guys you guys came to Bailey and uh you wanted to go in the process of filming you wanted to go camping and so I took you guys out what we call uh Mount Logan Trail and we hiked

Up how far did we hike up there maybe a mile maybe I don’t remember it wasn’t real far yeah and i’ never camped at the place I took you the actual place we camped but we found this kind of flat yeah we just kind of bushwacked until we

Found a good enough spot kind of flat place and I was in my hammock you guys had your tent so it was more important for you that you had a flat place than them yeah right I guess you could set up anywhere yeah but tell us about about

That experience for you of camping and anything that happened that you wanted to talk about oh it was just awesome I me it was such a beautiful area I I’d been to Bailey once previously uh back in I think it was 2018 or 2019 maybe it was the summer two summers before that

Okay um I was with a buddy and that’s actually the first time I met you and Jason cuz I had talked to Jason for a while and then I I came to the Sasquatch Outpost for the first time and you had recommended a couple spots we went to a

Different area with my friend that trip and we ran into a moose with uh two fresh Cales so that was a little nerve-wracking cuz I think all we had at the time was like a 9mm and a little 22 daringer so we were not feeling too comfortable I should say they were

Across the creek though luckily we were very far from them but you never know I mean with I live in Moose Country as you do and I get them on my property here and uh you know it’s it’s not not fun I mean they’re nothing compared to the

Ones in Alaska that are just I’ve seen some monsters monsters but uh yeah that whole Bailey area was awesome you took us out to that spot that was just so beautiful because there was all that uh those you know uh not the cedar trees you what are they um the the Aspens and

There was all those little Aspen Groves and I remember we were flying the Drone around and just you just nothing as far as you could see um and I know you said you had some stuff going on we I mean I think both Eli and I slept through

Anything that happened cuz we’re pretty heavy sleepers but uh it’s it was relatively quiet from what I remember there wasn’t anything major that happened it it did rain that night I was in my hammock you guys your tent was pretty good size and I I I wondered during the

Night if you guys were messing with me but I’m I know now looking back you weren’t but yeah I was in my hammock and I don’t remember what time it was one in the morning 1:30 I’m lying there I have my rainfly so I can’t see out I had the

Rainfly completely wrapped around the hammock right and something came and went WAP and hit the top of the hammock and then pulled my Poncho off so it was like whack and then I hear and the Poncho that was just a little bit of extra protection comes off and so I’m just

Lying there looking up thinking okay what are they going to do next and and nothing else happened um and it’s possible they they messed with you guys in the tent and you just were asleep if it was a Sasquatch but something hit the top of my hammock

There was no question um yeah I mean we were sleeping so heavily but yeah I I did review the audio and and I had the audio recorder a little bit out of camp in a dry bag so if it was raining unfortunately all that I could hear was

It the water hitting the dry bag so that’s the downside of doing audio stuff we didn’t have any thermal cameras or anything at the time so um it’s it was kind of just like you know we were just trying to see what we could do and uh

Yeah yeah both of us just slept through anything that would happen and you you put something out to attract them before went tell tell us about that I almost forgot yeah that the I put out a pheromone chip and uh Doug is kind of one of the people I think that really

Pioneered that chip yes Doug Heek of course um and the guy who makes them Dr juice Dr grank bamman he was uh on Monster Quest quite a few times but I think they originally developed it for the Skookum Expedition if I’m not mistaken I Doug can probably fact check

Us on that but I had a whole bunch of these and we put up a Fone chip so what they are is this is supposedly it’s kind of called a Sasquatch ferone chip and from what I understand it’s gorilla and human female smells and we’ll just leave it at that without

Getting it’s it’s intimate smells very very unpleasant so I mean it’s we oh my gosh we were putting them up uh you know I know other groups have tried them other researchers some have had success some have not but the idea is kind of to maybe interest something or even provoke

Something I don’t know if that’s a good idea or not but um you know you try it with other animals before you even open it you get out these rubber gloves I’m like okay this this might be interesting and you open that jar I’m like who my

Gosh I I knew then why you had the gloves on cuz oh yeah man you could smell that stuff a mile away I mean trying to fly with those things it’s like your biot terrorism warning I had to what I did was the original jar they

Came in is like a small plastic or glass jar and it doesn’t contain the smell so I had to put that inside of a second jar and in about three plastic bags and I have it in my basement now and my fiance says every time she walks by that part

Of the basement she despises the smell and she can smell it I’m like it’s it’s quadruple you know wrapped I don’t understand how it still gets through all that still gets through all that so it’s you you know if you were to drop that in into you know your pocket or something

That smell’s probably never going to leave so we we really try to be careful with that stuff so we didn’t we didn’t have any romantic Sasquatch that we knew of that night I mean maybe that’s why something happened maybe thought get away with it maybe but we we uh so

Fairly quiet night it rained but then the next day we hiked further up the trail and we We Came Upon a place that you found really interesting yes yeah that old cabin and uh you know from what we could tell it was definitely very old

I mean I found some old cabins in Alaska that are you know maybe 50 60 years old 20 years old you can kind of tell but this thing was I mean it looked over 100 years old at that point you could find there were cans The Rusted cans everywhere it was just

Completely caved in if you were to sleep in it you would you know you’d have a big hole where the roof is supposed to be so it’s not like a nice cabin it’s a from what we gathered I think you said it was probably some sort of either prospecting or something along those

Lines yeah some kind of mining uh which which makes sense given the history of Colorado of course and we looked around for whatever reason they built it there for a mine or something we didn’t find anything didn’t find any sh yeah we spent a while looking around I told I

Told you before I said how cool would it be to stay in a place like this you know just Cowboy camp in in the husk of this old cabin so might be something you come back to next time you come to Colorado I’ll hike back up there with you and

We’ll camp in that old cabin and see what happens man I would love that that’d be so awesome it’s far enough up that mountain that there ain’t nobody around up there no no I’d be I’d be shocked if somebody was coming through there and it’s not like it’s it’s not

Right off the trail either it’s uh you know pretty well tucked away and then then you went down to Guffy to um uh to get on some horses with Jill yes yeah that was a lot of fun and uh we got to hear obviously the story of all

The stuff that was going on at Jill’s place and uh I got to spend time with her son and hear the story of the you know the people he thought he was chasing one winter night with AR15 and then he realizes there’s bare footprints in the snow and you know they’re

Outpacing him and he’s saying well he’s in a truck yeah yeah and he got out at one point and you know found those bear prints and just all the strange stories they had going on there and we there’s that you know I don’t want to give too

Much about the area but there was a ridge that we rode ATVs to nearby where you could get up and I mean there’s just nothing back in there so I thought that I thought that was a really interesting place to maybe even at some point go up

And hike in there and just see wildone field with T ofs from Cows obious Farmers probably dumping them ranchers dumping them when they die other Critters so there’s it’s an interesting area um and and obviously you met Jill and you know what a great gal she is and

Uh Ralph and John and David so oh they so so hospitable and let us stay there and uh you know we originally we’re just going to go for like a day or two we end up staying I think three or so days I mean it was just so nice do some

Horseback riding and just hang out with some great people and hear some great stories and what a beautiful part of the state I mean I’d never been to that part of Colorado before I was more used to along the Front Range and I’ve got a buddy who I was telling you the other

Day who lives up in that area so I’d go visit him and we would just go up into the mountains up towards Boulder pass uh sure up in Bailey and just do that kind of stuff so i’ never really gone to that in between the mountain ranges sort of

Area like what’s down there so it was pretty man her area is crazy crazy active crazy active absolutely so um but I I uploaded another promo here for Alaska and I want to I want to talk some more about that so let’s just show that promo Tammy Alex I’ll ask a promo

Proportions with my brother that would take me from the East Coast sorry I didn’t I didn’t prep it me in the the summer of 2023 I embarked on a road trip of Epic Proportions with my brother that would take me from the east coast of the United States all the way to

Alaska this took us across the entirety of the famed Alaska Highway through Northern Canada into Alaska itself along the way I heard about various Bigfoot related stories from the areas I visited and uh he gets scared uh gets back in his vehicle and uh peels out of

The rest area and it actually uh chases him and he said it smack the side of his truck and then it came across a female sasquat with a young one first off they heard that young one Crying so they walk to it so he thinks that he’s seen this moose jogging down the side of the road uh and then it turns and crosses the road and he realizes it’s it’s not a moose because it’s up on two l leg throughout the trip the idea of

Sasquatch seemed to loom largely over the journey join me for this Unforgettable cross continent Voyage on the Alaska Bigfoot Highway cool so tell us about this time in Alaska what was that like oh it was incredible I spent a month up there basically all of June and into July and

As was alluded in that trailer I drove up the full way and I went up with my brother the way up and then a month later my fiance flew up and we drove back together and got to see some of those parts of Canada the the Canadian Rockies so I’ve been throughout the

American Rockies obviously in Colorado and elsewhere but it was really cool to see the southern Canadian Rockies and then the northern the northern Terminus of the Rocky Mountains in general goes through where the Alaska Highway cuts through and that’s some of the footage from the trailer there and I actually I

Didn’t really even intend to do a documentary about the journey up to Alaska I thought it was just going to be part of another Alaska film cuz I did a you know a whole host of films while I was up there for that month but uh we came across so many coincidental stories

On that journey and then that map at the end in the trailer that I showed I put together of sightings based off of some research Maps uh there’s a lady in Canada who has created this incredible map of Canadian Sasquatch sightings and then the Bigfoot mapping project and

Other Stories We heard so that it’s like almost you can’t go even a couple hundred miles on the Alaska highway without some sort of historical account or people that have just been driving up to Alaska or back and have had encounters so we heard quite a few and

That’s kind of how that documentary came about and uh had two really funny instances happen on that trip where one we get to a place called teslin which is in the Yukon Territory right after Crossing from Northern British Columbia and there’s this wildlife animal display they had Taxidermy animals it was

Awesome but they had a zonaa mask which I recognized from the coastal British Columbia tribes that have uh that’s their sasqua watch and I said oh that’s a zonaa Mas and I asked the lady and she said yeah we got that donated to us and

I said do you know of any stories around here she was half native from that area and said yeah there’s a lot of stories you should talk to a guy named red gringer who’s a researcher from that area and I was actually going to an event in Alaska in Fairbanks called the

Boreal Bigfoot Expo and red was going to be one of the speakers there so I said oh perfect I’ll I’ll talk to him you know in a few days from now when I when we were driving through and we get to the Alaska border crossing and uh the

Agent is saying hey you know what what are you doing up here in Alaska and I was honest I said I’m I’m here to look for bigfoot he looks at me and says do you know who Michael Thompson is I said I do he’s going to be a speaker at the

Boreal Bigfoot Expo this this weekend so this was the weekend before you know we’d be at this event in Alaska so Mike Thompson he’s a former Border guard there on the US side of Alaska and he’s he has a website called Sasquatch tracker and he’s the guy at the end of

The trailer who was talking about the sighting work I thought it was a move so it was just really funny driv along this route having all this coincidental Bigfoot kind of stories popping up so that’s why I titled it the Alaska Bigfoot Highway because there’s just a

Lot of sightings and it goes through some of the most remote parts of North America I mean definitely parts of that Highway are frightening you could just walk off and never be seen again you know right off the side of the road so it looks really dense I mean this is not

I mean we have dense forests here but that looked really really seriously dense and um did you guys let let me just ask you this and this may have be an Alaskan story or somewhere else but and all the films you’ve made all these years and I know they’re not all about Sasquatch

Right but what what would be the the most intense or interesting encounter you’ve ever had that you think was Sasquatch related oh it’s a good question I have a few and I think one of them I’ll share one of them because it kind of it was a

Sequence of events and it happened in a pretty interesting location it was actually in Bluff Creek of all places so it was it was the the third ever beyond the trail we ever did it was summer of 2021 we were out there hanging out with the Bluff Creek project and a lot of

Researchers come out Ken Gearhart was there at the time there’s a bunch of people from kind of all over the US uh in July of 2021 and we had had a really weird week with a bunch of strange stuff happening but this was our last night in

Bluff Creek and we’re being shown the area where the alleged tracks from 19588 and and 59 were found that Jerry crew found that were kind of became the Bigfoot name right the journalist saw this prior to the Patty situation so before then you only would have referred

To as SAS so this was big fooot so we were being shown the original area where that was happening and where these supposed 55 gallon oil barrels and drums are being thrown into the creek and uh my friend Ron his dog started acting really really weird and ducking in the

Side of the trail and this is a dog that’s hiked the entire Appalachian Trail with its owner uh the dog Bandit he’s just he’s done a lot in the outdoors he’s not unfamiliar with bears and other creatures but his hiso when he gets scared is to duck to the side of

The trail he kept doing that I mean this dog is so well-tempered never needs to be leashed so he we finally get his attention get him to come back to a group of us and his tail is completely between his legs I mean I’ve never I’ve personally I’m I’ve they didn’t grow

With dogs but I have a lot of friends with dogs I’ve never seen a dog with their tail that straight through their legs I mean it was it was complete fear mode and he was panting we actually had to use somebody’s belt to make a leash

To get him back to Camp that’s how that’s how distraught he was meanwhile there was a couple other guys in the group that thought they were hearing movement in some of the brush and we were staying at a location all week called La Camp which was created by the

Loggers that tore through those roads in the late 50s that’s where Renee de hinden all those guys the Tom Slick Expedition I mean over the years that’s where Bobo had his class A sighting so much history has happened right in La Camp it’s kind of this Camp that’s

Nestled in these in these Hills and you’ve got Bluff Creek and notice Creek that converge people have been swimming there and reported being watched by Sasquatches from above so it’s not like it’s very uncommon but these guys are reporting he hearing weird noises they and you they’re throwing rocks in the

Woods and they’re hearing what they sounds like wood knocks we get back to Camp uh Bandit finally calms down and uh it was again it was just very weird to see how he was but he’s finally calmed down wagging his tail and I walk over to him and just start petting him

And I happen to be filming by accident and I just hear this perfectly clear whoop you know this just very clear whoop and it was so nice that I immediately turned and said oh was that Ken I thought maybe it was Ken gear GE or somebody else because you know

Sometimes guys will just do a whoop I mean they they filmed the movie uh Willow Creek the Bobcat goldw movie was filmed right in that same camp and you know Rowdy Kell and some of the Bluff Creek guys will sometimes let out a whoop I’m like there’s no way I and and

There’s a couple people standing 10 ft from me talking and I said did you guys just hear that no we didn’t hear it oh really I I talked to everybody in Camp nobody else heard it and there’s 20 people sitting around the fire cuz I was

Right at the edge of Camp 20 people sitting around the fire cooking hot dogs telling jokes the thing is when you’re in the geographic center of La Camp you can’t hear anything because of the creek movement so the Creek’s moving it almost sounds like you’ll hear talking I mean

It’s a babbling book kind of thing but towards the edge of Camp you can hear stuff um and so it was a very clear whoop I sent it over to Chris Spencer buddy of mine does stuff with the Olympic project is very good with audio analysis he thought it was very sus

Suspicious in the sense that it didn’t really sound human I was able to verify it wasn’t anybody in Camp or any of their dogs it was just a really strange sequence of events and uh that’s happened kind of before in La Camp buddy of mine in La Camp I think the year

Before that or two years before that got this really weird yell on audio as he’s filming himself he puts a camera on the back of his car and he walks away and then the camera captures this strange scream and nobody and there was only four people in Camp none of them

Heard it but his camera I think was was far enough away from the center of camp that it picked it up for some reason but none of them could hear it because all they hear is the creek so the audio there gets really weird but I mean I

Have that loop on audio so I wouldn’t say this necessarily you know a scary encounter but it was really weird because it was a whole sequence and Bandit clearly was extremely scared I mean that I again I’ve never seen a dog that scared before um and especially one that’s been hiking and backpacking

Outdoors kind of dog they’re used to that sort of stuff so that was kind of weird that was one of those moments that sticks out and there’s a few others but um that one was cool because it happened in such a historic location for the Bigfoot topic for the Bigfoot did did

That dog when you heard the whoop did the dog react he he heard it too so we were the only only two beings that heard that whoop because it was so strange because again there’s I think Eli and another guy were 10t from us and they

Were just chatting and they did not hear it myself Bandit and the camera picked it up but that was it none of those other guys heard it so I don’t know if it would just happen to be at the right part of camp or what but it was it was

Interesting listen I think I think sometimes and I’ll I’ll get guys to argue with me on this but there’s evidence that proves this but I think sometimes there’s something paranormal going on Jason on Halloween Jason and Liz his wife were with me helping me host and uh and they told the story

About the first encounter that convinced Liz that Sasquatch was real and they were there were four of them Jason Liz and two two friends two guys walking back to Camp after a night hike and they were coming back and on so the four of them are walking kind of in a line on

Jason and Liz’s side they suddenly hear this noise really loud right there like 10 feet away in the dark and Liz just about jumped on top of Jason like let’s get out of here and two guys walking right next to them heard nothing heard nothing that’s they’re like what’s going

On like what you didn’t hear that I mean how could you not hear that it was right there and so there’s some there only way to you explain and it was quiet there was no competing noise of a stream or anything yeah the only way I can explain that

Is Jason and lizz’s ears were opened and the other two guys’ ears were closed that’s all I can say because they heard nothing and it’s weird yeah it is and I wonder if anybody else in Camp might have heard it because they were close enough but didn’t hear it because it was

Meant for you or something yeah I don’t know I mean it’s one of of those things I’ve heard I have friends that have theories that that’s why only certain things are certain direction I don’t know I mean I I’m one of those guys that I just kind of know what I’ve

Experienced and I can talk about that but I can’t speak to you anything else and I kind of just uh take it as it take it as it happens but uh there does seem to be something weird going on I don’t know I think frequencies and sound and

Infrasound and all this kind of stuff is so weird and misunderstood that I do we really know much about this stuff at all I mean we’re we’re learning all the time about new animals that can use infrasound or use different kind of because frequencies it’s not one of

Those things that you can put it on a table dissect it and look at it right no I mean try explaining cell phone technology at radio waves to somebody in the 1800s I mean you’re going to be looked at like a sorcerer of some kind right yeah sure I’m GNA send a message

To Germany right now watch this and you know it’s like that’s that sounds like magic so maybe we’ll understand this stuff more in in 00 years I mean I don’t know I think I tend to think a lot of the stuff that’s paranormal nowadays is just normal at some point else I mean

It’s called paranormal so it’s not normal at the moment kind of thing so uh we’re we’re still very much a visual kind of feel touch smell C kind of species right it’s really hard for us to understand Concepts that are just not in that realm so yeah I don’t know what’s

Going on and and you know when you learn about elephants communicating for Miles underground with infrasound it’s kind of a weird thing to try to wrap your head around but apparently happens apparently gorillas can use infrasonic vocalizations too so uh very unusual and it has an effect on the females I’m

Actually in communication with some uh gorilla researchers who kind of nonchalantly made a claim in an article a couple months ago that they believe that these gor male gorillas use their frequencies to affect female gorillas which I think up until now the only primates that have been known to do that

Were these really small nocturnal like so I mean I was like why are more people not talking about this so we’re learning about this stuff all the time so we don’t really know what’s going on and I’ve I’ve not heard about the gorilla infrasound idea but I think it’s

Interesting to me that and and while I’m making this point Tim if you can find the comment about the Alaskan Bigfoot being aggressive find that if you could and throw that back out but um yeah it seems to me there’s things about Sasquatch that as we advance in our

Knowledge we start to understand you could take that to mean in some ways they’re more advanced than we are but we’re we’ve we’re figuring stuff out with them as we go nobody’s figured out their eyes glowing at night I’ve not heard that doesn’t make sense doesn’t make any sense I actually have the

Article here if you want me to just read this quotee to you it’s really fascinating sure go for it so this is just from this article it’s from arizona.edu and this is like the people talking about it but they say for example in studying Mountain Gilla vocalizations deer and I have discovered

That they can produce infrasonic vocalizations very deep calls that lie outside the range of human hearing no other primate produces meaningful infrasonic vocalizations so we are exploring its utility for gorillas seems to me these very deep vocalizations have a berry White effect on nearby females so I mean that’s no it attracts

Them it attracts them so interesting so imagine if if if you can attract something what about using it in a negative way or or some kind of manipulation I mean there I find what I find really interesting and I don’t think Bigfoot is like a gorilla like

Primate I mean whatever it is it’s clearly much closer to us I mean even if you look at like a Bigfoot footprint compared to a human print compared to a gorilla they’re completely different right gorillas and other primates are they’re just not on the same level of

Development as any of the you know kind of humanik creatures whereas Bigfoot seems to be but there’s all these weird parallels with known ape behavior that we now know about that 100 years ago when people are reporting about it in British Columbia or Kentucky it was not

Known to be a behavior the smells gorillas can control their scent glands when they’re angry or agitated it’s like if you if you could control your boo to anger your neighbor I mean that’s I can do that the whole wood knocking Rock knocking thing so uh it’s just I just

Find that interesting because it tells us that there is a preced for this kind of stuff in nature and whatever Sasquatch is I don’t know what it is I mean I I find myself often between a physical and a paranormal place I just don’t know because you hear so manyo

I’ve interviewed hundreds of witnesses at this point and you know most of them it’s you know very simple like road crossing type sighting or something super basic I’m sure you know um better than most most you’ve had tons of sightings reported to you it’s most are

Basic but then you do get those really weird ones so how do you explain that I mean I was just in the Land Between the Lakes for a a week filming in Kentucky and there’s just a lot of other weird stories out of there I’ve seen a UFO I

Know there’s other weird things out there I just don’t know what exactly is going on but I do find the parallels interesting with kind of the known creatures out there um and since we can’t put a Sasquatch down to study it I guess the closest thing we have is is

Gorillas even though again I don’t think it’s really an apt comparison it’s not necessarily analogous it’s the closest thing we have in size in strength even though I don’t think a girl’s strength even compares to Sasquatch but compared to us they’re far closer oh yeah to a Sasquatch in terms of brute strength

Well you think about even chimps right I mean like a CH even chimp four foot chimpan can beat up six adult men I mean that’s frightening imagine they’re they’re small but imagine the cubic muscle strength that’s something like a Sasquatch with the alleged sizes let’s say an 8ot tall creature I mean that

Would be staggering that would easily could kill you as a human we’re so weak compared to other animals so uh it’s it’s it’s kind of mind-blowing when you think about it which begs the question and Le and segue into this question begs the question why don’t they kill more of

Us when they could right and this question I hear they’re super aggressive in Alaska did you get many reports about their aggression towards humans so I’ve heard some of the stories obviously I’ve heard some of Port chadam stuff and you know the truth gets lost somewhere in

The in the translation that story uh I would recommend my my buddy Larry beans Baxter who’s up there he’s he was in that trailer you showed a little bit ago he’s a former retired law enforcement he wrote pretty much the book on Port chadam he did a lot of research he did

The first ever Expedition out there and you know there were reports of what they called or at least the natives called it the NoNo kind of the hary man that was their story up there and there there were stories of aggression I mean even the location that we went to that I went

To this summer for two weeks that we first went to last year known as area a um that uh is kind of this property in the keenai peninsula there is a history of kind of aggressive behavior but I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily deadly I mean you have a lot of these stories

Historically stuff like the ape Canyon incident you have kind of I guess that’s sort of an aggressive posture and you’ve also got the Falon was reported to be aggressive in Arkansas skunkape reports down south with some kind of aggressive quality to him I’ve even heard reports

Here in New Hampshire of of dogs being killed but they’ll kill animals but they don’t seem to kill us it seems like I I would imagine if you’re intelligent enough to stay away from humans and just in general you live in these places that most people don’t go to which is right

Where a lot of these kind of reports come from uh that if you kill a human that probably means more humans are going to come and that’s going to be a sort of that’s at least the way I I look at it but I think in Alaska you have I

Mean a lot of people go missing in Alaska because that place just swallows you up and people die there all the time because of a variety of reasons not just Wildlife um the weather everything I mean in the summertime it can be freezing and you can die of hypothermia

It’s just a very extreme place but I imagine if there were a place where you you’re out in some remote Wilderness and there’s a hunter and you feel like well maybe I just kill this guy who’s going to know I mean Alaska is the kind of

Place you get away with it right as as as some kind of a creature if you’re desperate enough for to eat a human and that happens we know that happens with Grizzlies and moose up there stomp people out I mean they kill more people than Grizzlies so I kind of Cliff Berman

Said some interesting words on this he was in one of our Alaska films talking about and he and he kind of said a lot of people are under the illusion that sasquatches are these you know kind of friendly Forest Giants and I know there’s a whole segment of people that

Think oh they’re my Forest friends and whatever but if you listen to some of the these eyewitnesses and this is something I’ve certainly had conveyed to me I mean dozens of times at this point a witness in Terror saying if this thing wanted to kill me it could have I always

Hear that so a chimp you know even a domesticated chimp yeah it it could kill you if it wanted to but it’s not it’s choosing not to in the moment I mean there are there are certainly instances when they do but I think it’s you it’s it’s clearly it would have the ability

To do so I don’t think you know again I think it’s a little naive to assume that Forest friends and nothing will ever happened but cuz you don’t know what you’re dealing with I mean none of us really know we think we do but uh so did

The guy the Grizzly Man Who Went and lived with grizzly bear in Alaska he thought he knew he was dealing with and then he became dinner yeah and and that shocked that shocked the world because they figured this guy knew what he was doing he knew these group of Grizzlies

Ironically it was a Grizzly he didn’t know yeah it was some kind of competing male I think yeah but you know and I tell people when it comes to their aggression you know there was I was watching your promos and there was the one woman who

Mentioned I can’t remember if it was her dog or somebody else’s dog sasos picked it up and pulled its head off you know yes just I mean grotesque demonstration of both power and cruelty just you know um but that doesn’t happen dogs I’ve heard of lots of stories of them killing

Dogs they just don’t like dogs and I’ve heard that from all over not just south I mean there’s a story buddy of mine a researcher here in New Hampshire has a really frightening story and we’re still trying to kind of track down and really get to the bottom of it this lady who

Was hiking she was on top of a 4,000 foot Mountain a very isolated area in a cabin and got out and this and washed her dog basically Dragged In the Woods by one of these things and the fishing game guys are saying oh it was probably

Just a bear kind of thing you know and she’s like I know what I saw but imagine seeing your best friend being dragged off into the woods like that I mean it doesn’t matter what animal it is it’s going to be traumatic but especially one that’s not supposed to exist and that

Story you’re referring to happened in Louisiana that was kind of associated with that Honey Island Swamp monster area and supposedly this guy had his dog killed ripped its head off and uh left the body there and took the head and then a few weeks later I believe the

Head was brought back and just left in the yard untouched so I mean what that’s almost like a human level of maliciousness where if an animal rips your animal’s heads off your I was probably going to eat it or do something with it but why hang on to it and then

Bring it back I mean that is so atypical for any of the known animals that’s cruel that’s just that’s cruel that’s what humans do cruelty I mean we know other apes are cruel they kill each other but uh that’s just like very seems that’s yeah yeah and and you know there

There are lots of stories about um of them showing aggression towards humans screaming throwing rocks you know throwing sticks but and I’ll tell people look I can’t I can’t speak to whether they kill us or not because honestly people that go missing if they got killed by a Sasquatch who’s going to

Know exactly right but of all the researchers I know and I know a lot and so do you none of those people have ever gone missing right nor anyone that any of us have taken in the woods has ever gone missing so based on that fact and we’re talking hundreds maybe even

Thousands of people yeah there’s not one instance now that doesn’t mean they never do it right but you know you think about the cases of people finding carcasses of deer and Elk with their head gone missing which Lions don’t pull their heads off their head gone and their spine Twisted broken like

This yeah which Lions don’t do and so um you know you just have to think okay I don’t know why they would do that why they would pull their head off or why they kill them but there’s no other Predator that does that as a matter of course so well it’s

Interesting you mentioned how you know it could happen right I mean in our film it could on the trail Bigfoot the Last Frontier the I have the poster up there uh that was Seth’s film but we talked to a lot of people up there that had really

Weird stories I mean there’s one of a kid who went missing and they found these big footprints around the fire that he had makeshift made while he was stuck in a snowstorm I believe so it was some weird stuff and you you hear some of the native stories and a lot of the

Native stories are either negative about oh they uh I mean I spent time in British Columbia in May and that’s in upcoming films with a tribe up there the new Hulk and in their mythology similar to a lot of the other tribes there the Sasquatch are they steal women and

Children and they put the children in a basket in their back and take it away but they report the cannibalization of people or whatever you know so all you need is that to happen once right yes or maybe somebody goes missing and they just oh well we have to blame it on the

The hay man right it doesn’t maybe they didn’t even see it happen but let’s say they did see it happen that story just happens once and that becomes a cautionary tale or it just gets part of the folklore uh especially as humans we try to understand our surroundings and

When we don’t understand it we kind of fill in the gaps with either creative thinking or just storytelling to kind of make sense of things uh and that maybe what going on I really don’t know it may I think it’s you know again it can

Happen I don’t I don’t think as as we talk they’re certainly capable of doing it yeah and again to hit on that point with the witnesses how many times I’ve heard that say this thing I mean have a friend of mine good friend of mine who

Had a sighting where they were with a number of people and this thing basically pushed them out of their camp and chased them out and he thought this thing absolutely could have killed us if it wanted to but it didn’t for whatever reason and that feeling and

That that sense that I could have died it’s it’s like people who are kidnapped by terrorists and the thought is they can kill me anytime they want they don’t kill them but the PTSD comes from the feeling that I could be or I’m going to be killed that’s exactly it as

As a friend of mine uh from British Columbia and this is just freshing my mind because I interviewed him and I’m working on that film now Leon Thompson of Okanagan Bigfoot he works with people who have had PTSD with Bigfoot encounters and as he told me yeah you

Know what people are really scared of you know once let’s say you had a runin with a bear and it charged you uh every time you go in the woods now you’re scared that a bear is going to charge you so you’re not necessarily in grave danger but your your mind is just

Worried about the consequences of what happened and through from what I understand and I’m nowhere near an expert but when you’re working with people with PTSD whether it be combat or whatever you have to try to work through that that irrational fear it’s coming from rational place but yes people let

It consume them and that’s what you’re trying to kind of get out and that’s what with so many of these Bigfoot sightings that are traumatic for people and I’ve talked to a number of people who stopped hunting after oh yeah sto favorite thing to do yeah just don’t get

Out in the woods they clearly have some sort of a primal fear uh it’s not from nothing I don’t think they’re all they’re all simultaneously making up the same kind of encounters with similar looking creatures so it’s really interesting but again I mean this yeah may maybe the missing stuff is is part

Of it I don’t know but there’s a there’s certainly a lot no yeah yeah well I used to be in crisis management and when we would do a risk assessment you’re you’re weighing two things you’re weighing the probability that a particular say kidnapping the probability that that can occur versus

The consequences if it does occur probability may be extremely low but the consequences are extremely high so a Sasquatch I think personal opinion I think the probability ility is extremely low that a Sasquatch intentionally is going to come after us and kill us but the consequences are off the chart right

Off the chart and so the it’s the consequences that people think about they see this thing standing there and they think and I’ve heard so many people say if he wants to kill me I can run I’ll never get away and I can tell my

Family to run and I’ll try and stand and run interference but it’ll be seconds it’ll be seconds before it’s over give them a chance to run yeah yeah I mean that’s that’s a really a flight or figh ORF flight response that’s that’s very Primal I mean that yes that’s not

Something you can really make up in a whim that’s just something that that happens when it happens yeah let me let me ask you this question and then uh we’ll start to to wind it down but someone um a couple people have asked questions about dog men how many sto

Stories and all your travels have you heard about dog men and is there a sense that Sasquatch and dog men are enemies that they they’re they’re against each other any thoughts on that H it’s a good question I just kind of I really am not super versed with that topic I just sort

Of dipped my toe into it with this Land Between the Lakes kind of stuff because we were out there and we got to talk to a bunch of the people involved and um before that my only real experience was with the Ruger in Louisiana I did a a

Show called chasing Legends and we did a rugaru episode and that’s but that’s more of like a classic werewolf story it’s got a lot of Catholic Christian motifs I mean supposedly if the rugaru is after you you throw 12 pennies at it and it can’t count past 11 so that’s how

You stop it but it also it it’s a manifestation of guilt you can become the ruguru so it’s more an oldw World kind of werewolf story but as for the more contemporary dog man stuff I mean I just know what Seth and the rest of the

Crew have done in some of their films like uh the American werewolves or even the Texas Dogman triangle kind of stuff um I’m pretty skeptical of it all I don’t know what to make but the lbl stories are interesting because you know one of the ones we talked to a guy named

Martin Groves who’s a former military and supposedly this attack happened almost 30 years ago and he was the first time he ever really spoke about it was in our film American werewolves uh and you know he’s it’s it’s really is pretty compelling I don’t I really don’t know

What to make of it but he’s either you know running a really extensive long con which is I mean going decades for little to no gain which is not hugely likely I don’t think so no and and I mean he’s not hiding his identity there’s a whole

Dogman Massacre story at the lbl that even some of the people involved in that research think is not real they think it’s likely like um some maybe something like a coyote bit somebody and that somehow through the telephone game became a Dogman attack but yeah I don’t

Know what to make of it again I think there’s very few stories in that whole area that I find credible um Martins is just it’s very hard to kind of dispute it I guess in a way if that makes sense but um just in most of my travels most

Of what I’ve come across has been Bigfoot a lot of UFO stories lake monsters um I’m I’m interested in the UFO stories because I’ve seen one in Pennsylvania that was a very weird experience in 2019 so I’m kind of you know if I hear stuff about that like up

In Alaska I I’ll I’ll uh have my ear to the ground on that sort of thing but uh out of all the Dogman stories I have heard none of them seem to be good I mean with Sasquatch stories it seems like it’s all across the Spectrum you

Have people who it’s the most amazing thing they ever saw and they want to see one again and they dedicate their lives to seeing one again absolutely and on the other side you have people who absolutely hate it and it you know they couldn’t sleep for a month afterwards or

It terrorizes their family all and you have everything in between I mean it’s truly a spectrum whereas with this kind of stuff it just doesn’t was this alleged dog man but I don’t know again I’m I’m just skeptical because I think a lot what I’ve noticed especially now you

I’m doing this British Columbia film and I’ve been going through uh newspaper.com archives and I’m going back to the 1920s newspaper clippings from Canada talking about a race of hay Giants living in BC and sighting maps and it looks like anything you might see in 2023 on the internet I mean this and

This is a hundred years ago interes so you have and you have such a long track record of Sasquatch research prior to the internet that there’s a there’s a kind of consistency there whereas with the Dogman topic it seems like it’s fairly recent and most of it is

Influenced a lot by what people call creepy pasta and some of these stories that get told online um and that’s even again some of the researchers we talked to some people who are really deeply involved in that kind of topic and even they said you know 90% of what you see

Out there is garbage and somebody just makes it up um but they they still think there’s something to it and I find that interesting and um so that’s kind of I got to look into that so aside from that I don’t have much to say about it um

There was a lot of other weird Stories We heard at the lbl I mean a vampire Cult of it was this guy who got he murdered two people in Florida and he thought he was a 500y old vampire and he used to worship at this abandoned house

In the Land Between the Lakes and they call it the vampire castle now and there’s just like the normal weirdness kind of stories that you get from some of these areas that seem to be a concentration of high strangeness or other weird stuff uh so it it’s it’s

Fascinating but I don’t know uh specifically about the kind of the Dogman Stu well and it’s things that terrifies because there’s we have lots of movies about vampires we have lots of movies about werewolves if Dogman is real it’s basically a real werewolf right and so

Um yeah I don’t I don’t know no there’s enough stories in my childlike innocent way I’m thinking if I had to meet one of the two I’d rather meet a Bigfoot than I was going to say I prefer not to think about the dog man topic when I’m out in

The woods alone exactly Bigfoot okay you know it’s like you you may know what you’re kind of dealing with or at least you have an idea but uh I just pretend all the other stuff doesn’t exist I mean I’m not a fan of ghosts either so I just

Don’t really do the ghost stuff I sayi I’m I’m way more comfortable in the woods at night than a haunted Asylum or something like a lot of these people like to do I’m going to write something here real quick um just for those who might be interested let’s see so there’s a story

Um Let me let this populate here it’s um called The Siege of lock at Ranch and it takes supposedly takes place in Tennessee I won’t go into the full story but it’s a it’s a dog Man story they they talk about it they narrate it as though it’s a real story

About a family that was attacked by a whole group of dog men over a period of time and eventually had to just abandon their Ranch and so but the interesting thing about this story true or not is that the the Native Americans in that area apparently knew the big the Bigfoot area

And the Dogman area and so they purposely went into the Bigfoot area stole some bones sounds like a madeup story but who knows stole some bones and took them and buried them in the Dogman area to create a war between them hoping that the Bigfoot would kill the Dogman and drive

Them out and so uh it’s a it’s a crazy story if it’s real it’s one of the most unbelievable able stories I’ve ever I’ve ever heard and it’s I’m not sure you can buy the book but they you can hear the narrated story online right and uh it’s

Worth it’s it’s a very compelling story true or not um but it’s terrifying it’s terrifying as you read it so uh I don’t know but I just wondered in all your travels across the country how many people said Bigfoot yeah but you got to hear about this werewolf thing you know

This dog man thing yeah it’s been very few and like I said it seems to be well I mean I haven’t said about just that area the lbl it just seemed like that was an area and then most of it’s sort of been in that Appalachia or even the

Rugaru thing you know I don’t hear much of that kind of stuff out of Alaska or the West Coast yeah whereas you have just more Bigfoot stuff so I don’t know what that necess even Florida you know you’ve got more more skunk ape stuff and UFO is not much alleged Dogman stuff so

It’s interesting that there’s kind of a geographical nature to it I don’t know what that means but um yeah who knows well tell us tell us a little bit about what’s coming up for you you’ve done the Alaska thing what what’s next so there’s a few more Alaska episodes coming

There’s a few on the uh dark Coast EP or dark Coast series there’s also one more beyond the trail Alaska related story which I’m really excited for it’s going to involve uh the keenai peninsula and some pretty interesting stories that I think people will be familiar with well

I’ll just I’ll hint by saying you know Survivor Man kind of stuff because that’s you know somebody has a very interesting story from there uh and then I’ve got some British Columbia stuff coming up so we did some filming in British Columbia back in May and I have

Two films about that coming out and Seth has a film as well so we like to do this every kind of November into December we do a pairing of one of my films along with one of his films so mine is on YouTube his will be on Amazon and those

Kind of platforms and they they kind of coincide and that’s going to be on the trail Bigfoot the origins which looks really at the start of the modern Sasquatch topic I mean in in British Columbia you’ve got the works of people like John Green and Renee hinden some of

The first people to ever look into this topic so it’s going to be kind of looking way back into the past as I said I’ve been looking at newspapers and just seeing how far back this stuff really goes it’s actually mind-blowing I could read to you one of these articles I

Found the other day and you’d think oh that was that was posted on a Facebook group today something you know it’s it reads reads almost identically which is amazing it just gives you that consistency over a century at this point so that’s interesting so yeah a bunch of Alaska and British Columbia related

Films coming out we’ve done a lot in that corner of the world um there’s a reason why it’s such a hot spot I think for this topic and uh it’s stunningly beautiful if if not you know even if you don’t believe in this stuff I got a lot

Of people who watch my content who aren’t Believers but they say you know it’s just incredible to see that there’s still this many wild places left lucky you are right to get to go to those blessed absolutely blessed every day so how do people find you if they want to

Know more about you or what you’ve done yeah so if you want to get in touch with me or or just find out some stuff uh you’ve got pacov media.com that’s my website p aov media.com and it’s got links to everything on there um so you

Can just find it all there or you can just look up small toown monsters and you’re bound to find that uh somewhere so uh that’s probably just the easiest ways to find out some more stuff small town monsters well listen it’s been it’s been great having you Alex and I would

Love to uh to host you if you come back to Colorado when you come back to Colorado um I’ll take you up and we’ll go camp in that cabin and oh yeah and we can tell the story later and um uh next week just for for our group next week

I’ve got two former Forest Service Rangers who are going to tell some stories who are now retired and feel the freedom to talk about some of these things that happened to them so you won’t want to miss next week but uh thank you Alex it’s been a pleasure

    1. `What about them able to be invisible. Several times we witnessed it. They are all over the western slope. What about them mimicking owls and coyotes. Owl calls to distract us, and coyote to leave and form up. These are not apes.

    2. Jim, it it Meadow creek? William' s Fork is a little more West off of Hwy 40.
Williams Creek is way way down south.
Willow creek is closer to Grandby Reservoir. So think it may be Meadow Creek.

    3. New Hamphire is nice. The house at the top of Mt. Washington is chained down with gigantic chains because of the winds.
But ever my heart in the Rockies. 👍
