Morning guys, well i’m still in skopje, the  rain finally stopped, so i’m ready to go,   finally, i’m going to a town, today, called  kriva palanka, close to the border with bulgaria,   there is wind, my bike is almost  ready, and i’m leaving a place

A great hostel i stayed maybe eight  days here, nordic as you can see there,   nordic hostel, they have a bar, well when it’s  good weather, you can see people can seat here,   very nice place, very friendly, nordic hostel  in skopje, and i’m ready to go towards bulgaria,  

Basically i’m gonna try to go, as the rain  stopped, i’m gonna try to go quite fast,   and uh every day with good  weather, i’m gonna enjoy   to ride, because now it’s autumn, and it’s not  that often that you have good weather actually,  

Okay so i’ll finish packing my bike  and uh let’s go towards bulgaria guys that’s it guys, time to leave  skopje, to go to kriva palanka today i guess i’m going through an albanian village,   according to the flag, so in north macedonia  you have a big minority of albanian people

Look at this landscape, oh my god, in  the distance you can see skopje still,   i’m 18 kilometers from skopje from where  i started today, you can still see it oh my god that’s horrible petrol station, ah i guess i found a  place to eat, look at that, it’s so cold

It’s not the most pleasant to ride,  it’s 10 degrees outside, no sun restaurant, open ? can i eat ?… yes… you have a menu… yeah… great…  hello, where are you from… france Yves, you speak french, nice i’ll go for the wiener schnitzel thank you the waitress is gone, she disappeared hello, yeah

Oh it’s okay it’s okay I’ll take the wiener schnitzel schnitzel, no chicken, okay sujuk… sujuk no okay, i’ll get burger and pancake… no… no pancake you have soup i’ll get chicken soup…. okay…  and burger… okay… okay thank you you’ve been in france… uh yeah…  you’ve been in france before… yeah,  

You said “mec” just now yeah okay but you live here… my cousine lives in Lyon… ah you cook! Lyon has a good cuisine yeah, it’s cold on the bike i like here, i can see the bicycle yeah i come around here, yeah,  but my hands are still cold…  

You came from france with the bicycle… yeah yeah have a good time… thank you… good luck with everything nice meeting you thank you, you’re macedonian… yes so i’ve got a feast, chicken soup, a  burger, well what they call burger here,   and uh spices, oil, bread, great so let’s, whoa look at that

Chicken soup oh really good, it’s gonna warm me up let’s try the burger for you i put the helmet to protect myself a little bit   from the cold, to protect the head from the  cold, because there is a cold wind today, oh it’s  

Really unpleasant, and i’ve got my gloves on, so  hopefully my hands don’t freeze this afternoon so let’s go to kriva palanka,  here in north macedonia so i am in kriva palanka i just met you two young french cyclists,  it was very nice, and apparently tonight i’m  

Going to stay in a monastery, there is a hotel  in the monastery just after kriva palanka, so   i’m gonna stay in the monastery, let’s see how…  it must be interesting to stay in a monastery so that’s where, that’s where i’m gonna  stay tonight, in a monastery interesting

So that’s what the room looks  like in a monastery basically,   i just installed myself, you  can see i have a lot of beds i even have a painting of the monastery i guess it’s a place for pilgrims i think,  you can see the bathroom, super clean

So that’s what you get for about 20 euros  in a monastery almost in the border,   very close to the border between the north  macedonia and bulgaria, but the problem i have   is that i booked the place here because there  is also a restaurant, so i thought i’m just  

Gonna eat at the restaurant tonight, but the  restaurant is closed, so i have to walk back down   to the city to have food tonight, not  easy, and tomorrow i’ll continue my journey   to bulgaria, to avoid the snow because  actually in two days, here it’s gonna snow,  

It’s gonna, well it’s gonna rain and they say  it’s gonna be a mix of rain and snow, oh my god,   i really need to reach turkey and  fast now, i think i’m gonna accelerate now i have to walk back down to the city, which  is about two and a half kilometers away, and  

So i can have dinner, because well i would not  mind skipping dinner but the problem is that   i have a big day of cycling tomorrow again, i have  90, 95 kilometers to do tomorrow, i need to eat   tonight to have energy for tomorrow, at least  it’s almost not raining anymore, and it should  

Not rain anymore tonight so at least i should be  able to walk to the village without getting soaked the joys of traveling, it’s funny oh oh well it looks here we can eat,   ah, just next door they seemed, the guys  seemed really not happy with the camera
