Arrived in Warsaw at 6 AM. Had 2 hours to kill before I could check in to my Airbnb Apartment. Went to a place that would be open before 8 AM but turned out to be nothing, so I went back to the city center to a coffee shop. Checked into my Airbnb apartment and the host turned out to be quite a nice guy and he really wanted to go to the Copernicus museum which we did, but it turned out to be a museum more for 10-year old kids. So we moved on and explored more of the city. We went to the university library, garden and ate some Polish lunch in the city. Then we headed back because I had to arrange my route home. I called a bus company but there was no bus allowing bikes in winter to Germany, so I had to go to the train station to buy a train ticket. After a lot of hassle I finally managed to get some train tickets to Hannover at 5 AM for 140 euros…

Alright guys made it to Poland marshal it is cold here I think about minus 1 degree so and I’m freaking tired I think I slept for like 2 hours on the bus I wasn’t a good bus ride yeah I don’t know what I’m gonna do

I got about 2 hours to kill I have an Airbnb apartment and I can be there at 8 a.m. which is good alright now it’s 6 a.m. we’re gonna ride around the city a little bits and hopefully hopefully there’s a place where I can be inside and warm that is

Open at 6 a.m. because I deserve it I just spent I think seven kilometers I rode to a certain place was quite far away out of the city because it was that was the only place nearby that was open it was a McDonald’s which was opened before seven o’clock it opened at 5:00

And the rest all over the seven that I arrived to see so I thought I could go here turned out it was in this image station I was really busy there so I couldn’t I couldn’t do that so I rode all the way back to the city center and

Yeah and it was already seven o’clock there yeah it is so cool my hand until now luckily I can get in this air BnB apartment really early at 8 o’clock so I can get my stuff there and then explore the city on foot probably cycling is not fun in his

Weather is really cold all right let’s go to the apartment alright guys so we are going to a museum or Bolivia Copernicus Museum and it’s a science museum and this is my Airbnb host by the way so yeah that’s alright going to do interesting I don’t think it’s really a museum for

Our age that should represent me can you see that do you yours is way better than mine yours is my better that’s what it was well that was pretty interesting huh what do you think of the museum for the kids maybe before if you have a thing

You’re all scared and it’s fine but it wasn’t really for us but I mean you wanted to see it now we know what it is like so reminds us of being kids yeah that’s true that’s true all right so now we’re going to the University Library yeah yeah

Then we’re going to check some places out in the old town we can show the buildings very nice yeah yeah all right I got some polish dumplings and you got some pancakes this is what I do like the binky which actually they call this one hash but at the Chiang garyun right sir

Good goulash is Hungarian born this way okay a guy is little fast forward single I thought that you saw I was interested with Mohammed who went back to the apartment and now I’m going back to the center actually by bus because I am NOT gonna take a bus to Germany which was

The plan but there are no buses going or the our bus is going but they don’t allow the bikes because it’s winter and in winter time they don’t don’t have one with bikes on them so I speak German I didn’t speak English my German is doable

I mean I can get the point across and that was important but so now I’m trying to get a train tickets to Hannover Germany where my friends Rico is gonna pick me up I’m right now going to the to a travel agency from the the Deutsche Bahn which is the German train service

Basically and I’ll have to buy tickets from there also with my bicycle of course so that’s the plane all right so it was in the fourth floor ouais today’s talk is not going as smooth as I thought uh-huh better just died again when I was on my way to actually the Central

Station I went through this travel agency and it was a mistake on the website was an error on the website you join up supposed to go there like they don’t sell any tickets basically so they sent me to the Central Station of worshop so I went there said that there

Are two wait in line for about half an hour and then I had to wait at a reception with someone who was trying to sort out a ticket for me for next Thursday from washout to Hannover that’s that place I’m going hand over but it wasn’t working out what she didn’t

Understand it that I was talking with a bicycle because I couldn’t show her the bicycle and she only spoke like mostly Polish and I don’t speak any polish so she pointed towards something else it’s like hey I have to go there you have to go there noth-nothing me food she said

That so I went to another place and that was a little bit more professional and I do it not a long time maybe half an hour to finally be helped they were a little bit more professional though they gave me the right day to write ticket and understand they understood that I have

Starting with bicycle so I finally have a ticket to handover right now total cost I don’t know 30 euros so that’s a little expensive on bus I think was about 40 euros but that was not possible at all I called the bus company and in winter day only drive with buses

Or this company and this pretty much the only company that goes from Berlin to a firm wash out to Berlin to Hannover mechanistic and they couldn’t help me al so after a long day I think I took like maybe three hours in total I finally got my tickets for 130 euros

To hungover which is pretty pretty expensive I think the most stupid thing is that there were some more trains going on that day so Thursday Thursday but there are only two that could carry bicycles and one was at 5:00 a.m. and it was at 10:00 p.m. or

Something on the same day so I took two one at 5:00 a.m. so I have to be a central station day after tomorrow at 5:00 a.m. in the morning and I’ll be in Hanover actually at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon so it’s just quite nice I have

A layover in Berlin but I’ve already been to the city of Berlin um pretty cool city I have to say but my friend Rico wants to pick me up in Hanover he actually already booked a hotel there for himself and his girlfriend it’s kind of a tease a different type I’m gonna

Show you him in the video no he’s a good friend of mine and we actually call pretty much every day when I’m cycling or ever and I think today we called for maybe an hour to sort things out of course for the for a meeting that we’re

Gonna have in Hanover say he’s gonna drive there with his parents car I think boy he has a driver slide here zoom car anyways but this cars a little small yes and hotel there but I’m gonna be there one day earlier so he’s gonna be there

On Friday I’m gonna be doing thirst and rainy he doesn’t do hostels he’s not into that and the Airbnb he’s also not really into that so I’m probably gonna do the cheap anyways he is also pretty busy so he’s not gonna set it for her long you’ll get

There at Friday night and we’ll have to go Saturday morning because we have to be back home Saturday afternoon so then I’ll be back home Saturday night Saturday crazy it’s going so fast all of a sudden like the planning is pretty hard but you know once plans are solid

And I know that when I go back I know what to do I know which companies to go with which are bike-friendly which are not so I can take the bike with me which is nice and then we’re gonna pick up the European bike tour and Riga again but I

Need to prepare a little more and replace some items and that kind of stuff that’s what I want to do at home I’m gonna end it here guy he’s gonna go to bed I’m really really tired because I just slept two hours on the bus this morning and it’s more

Probably not gonna do much maybe I’m probably gonna vlog when I check out some more places here in the city maybe Mohammed is gonna go with me I don’t know about that but we’ll see so anyways guys thank you guys so much for watching this video please like the

Video if you liked it please leave the comment down below please subscribe if you haven’t already and I will see you guys tomorrow good bye

  1. Trains not allowing bicycles is really annoying. The train and bicycle is such a great travelling combination. Back in the 1950s here in the UK the trains used to have special carriages just for carrying bicycles. They looked like sheds on wheels. However today the train operators just create restrictions for cyclists.

Great video! I really liked Mohammed.

  2. Hey Tice,
for communication in countries where I didn't speak the language I use the wordbook without words "das ohne Wörter Buch" von Langenscheid. 500 symbols give the user one and inspiration of the things I need or want to do. Very helpful on tours around the world.
For railway-tickets between poland and germany it could be cheaper to take a ticket only to the border and then in germany another one. In the germany it is better to choose between eurospezial-tickets (for destination in hole central europe) for around 39,-€ and an international bike ticket (I think around 12,-€), in Germany, if you book some days before you can use the "Super-Spar-Preis". Fixed but fast trains for a budget-price (both from poland over the internet (www.Bahn.de) for selfprinting or smartphone with creditcard. Or just use from the border an "Quer durchs Land-Ticket" for around 46,-€. With these you can go (in germany as far as you can (in local trains) for one day (on weekends even cheaper called "Schönes Wochenende-Ticket"). The bike coast 5,-€ the hole day / distance.
It is very complicated in germany, but if you get it, it could be cheaper. In poland themselves, trains a quiet cheaper.
By the way, why you take the plane. For example Baltic air or Ryanair carry you an your bike quiet cheap all over europe. One person an 20 kg of staff (1 pice, so take a seasack to put all your small bags in (it would be even a solution from Oslo to Stockholm ) for maybe around 60,-€ plus 30,- up to 60,- for the bike from Riga to a german airport. The bike could be covered with in German called "Frischhalte-Folie" from the livestock-shop (if you have no bike-bag or (used)-bike-box from a local bicycle-shop. It is the easiest and quickest kind of traveling big distance together with the bicycle.
    (sorry for my english)
By the way, I am always impressed by your experience and feel remembered on my one experience, when I started traveling by bike 35 years ago (out of the digital times). So Greetings to your parents. The are great to offer you this experience.

  3. Gulash was implicated to polish cousine, as our history , i mean Polish and Hungarian people goes together for few centuries, we very friendly countries to each others, and the Meal Muhammad ordered is called "Placek Po Wegiersku" … .which may be translated to… "Hungarian Pancake"??(maybe:D:P) … and its… best Polish meal… rly….:D:p like pancake is made of potatoes, eggs and onions(mainly those 3 ingridients)… which is Polish receipt and Gulash is Hungarian origin… so… "Placek po Wengiersku" as i may say…. is Receipt made of Polish- Hungarian collabororation:D…. or Hungarian-Polish Collab:) regards
