    #France, #colmar, #alsace

We have 48 hours to explore the most familyfriendly place in Europe Kar France and we want to know is it worth visiting this is a place so magical it’s the inspiration for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast we’ve got two days here to show you where to eat what to do and why

You should visit so let’s go located on the border of France and Germany it’s a mixture of both cultures in the region known as the alluce you’re doing something you have to do while you’re in Kar and that is doing a boat tour of the canals of Little Venice and we brought

With us crond Del sauce which is a champagne basically but from the all sauce that’s sacr because can’t have champag outside of champagne but it is a bubbly wine that is made only here in the uce region oh that’s a low bridge that was a low bridge that was a low

Bridge I love how Scotland ducked she was is so funny one thing that makes Kar unique is the cuisine even though it’s a French city due to its history the cuisine is heavily influenced by Germany with lots of pork and sauerkraut and one of the best restaurants is Le Unfortunately they

Don’t take reservations and when we showed up when they opened there was already a line and we weren’t sure if we would make it in do not take reservations here but we got in and we got the prime spot right along the canal this is an absolute must swi in called

Eating amazing food drinking reasing while on the now you ready Scotland Scott got pork knuckle with sauerkraut but sauerkraut here is pronounced Shak Shak it’s the French pronunciation okay so one of the dishes that you have to get while you’re in Kar is pork knuckle

I know it sounds gross you cook it here in a French style they cook in wine they put vegetables on it it’s just delicate it’s fall off the bone it’s like American barbecue ribs style and that’s soft meat but it’s a big porkn but of course I also got

Esaro snails and we’re chopping it off with a bottle of local reasing and Scotland got a basket of bread Sante like most regions in France the all sauce is known for its wine and with 24 hours to go we decided to take a wine tour just outside the city we are going

First here to at estate after a quick tour of the vineyard and the wine making process it was time to taste this is your oh thank you and this Winery also had a tasting for Scotland a little taste this is the reasing grape reasing so not too much sugar in

It but don’t worry this was only grape juice but it was made from the same grapes that the wine was made from alian wine has a few unique features it’s mainly white wine with reasing gavor demor and penree as the main varietal and its only red is Pino Noir unlike

Most French wines that are named based on the region these wines are named after the varietal we’re doing two different Winery stops the first one schlumberg uh some of you may know it as Schlumberger as an oil maker in the states and this is where you can go you

Can stop by it’s actually free if you want to stop by and now our second stop is domain Ernest burn and this place is beautiful this is so cool this is amazing drinking amongst the wine barrels and this Winery is over 400 years old so if you want to step back

Into the history books and taste some wine this is the place to come do it you can stop by here as well for free and uh taste some of these beautiful delicious wines all of the wines here are incredible they are known for their whites they are known for their racings

So if you come to the all sauce the one wine you have to taste resling cheers on after the wine it was time to grab a snack now there are two things you need to have inar a bretzel and a tart flambe we’ve got pretzel AKA bretzel and we got

It with cheese do you want to try it want try a bite there you go M that’s amazing it is very good okay two things that you need to have when you are in the all sauce one is this delicious Hugo Spritz it is made from St Germaine and elderflower

Lor it is so great on a hot day and then this this delicious dish is a tarte flampe which is basically the alsacian version of a thin crust pizza but cheers Sante Kamar is an UNESCO world heritage site and fortunately the city is beautifully preserved and restored

Even though it has been conquered and reconquered by French and German armies at least four times in the past 250 years however all the buildings have been protected during those years in Kar you can find historic buildings that were built built as early as the 14th century making them nearly a thousand years

Old all right guys this place is pure magic I think one of my top tips is just to get lost in the city because every Twist and Turn you find something new there’s amazing galleries there’s beautiful shops incredible restaurants with delicious food and because we’re in

This season of life it’s one of the most familyfriendly places in Europe I’ve ever been to I mean there are parks and every restaurant is familyfriendly and there are so many places for kids to walk and explore and learn about the alian culture is absolutely incredible

I’m so glad we came here if you are looking for a unique authentic town in the OAS I highly recommend Kar it is big enough for days and days of exploration there’s tons of restaurants but it is small enough to get that Charming quaint small town feel oh look look at the

Canal water it’s water okay you want to go to dinner let’s go to dinner

    1. I think the Alsace is my favourite part of France – I’ve only been to Colmar once, when I was a teen and camping with a friend’s family but it still left fond memories and this video took me straight back!

Also, pretzels are the best 😀
