Owned by the District of Lunenburg since 2011, River Ridge Common is a 115 acre park in the north end of the Municipality.

Phase One included doubletrack multi-use trails, and a large natural playground with features that encourage exploration, adventure and skills development. Phase Two included the addition of singletrack mountain bike trails, an Off Highway Vehicle pull off next to the rail trail. Next up for RRC in spring of 2022 will be the additional of another 6km of trail!

River Ridge Common is a great pairing with Kejimkujik National Park.

    For Beginners:
River Ridge has a welcoming networking of wide, gravel surfaced trails suitable for riders of all abilities. Family’s with younger riders will enjoy exploring the natural playgrounds interconnecting network of trails in the lower park.

For those looking for a longer ride, head across the rail trail to the upper park to explore the hills side and forests, maybe even venture on to some of the beginner single track to spice things up a bit.

Start with the wider gravel trails, explore the bike park, pump track and playground before moving on to the green circle single track trails, most of witch are found in the upper park.

    For Intermediate:
Intermediate level riders have plenty of options to explore at River Ridge Common in both the upper and lower park. You can expect to find more rocks and steeper Ines when compared to the parks green trails and even a few optional side lines for those who know where to look.

    For Experts:
River Ridge’s advanced trails all feature demanding, rocky terrain with optional boulder rolls, ledges, and drop off’s. The parks advanced trails are found as splits off of some of the intermediate singletrack trails.
