RIDING THE MASSIVE MOUNTAIN OF STAIRS – URBAN MTB DOWNHILL

This Massive mountain of stairs is an Urban MTB downhill dream! We explore Liege in Belgium and find sick riding spots on our downhill bikes. Would you ride the stairs?

Me and Tom Isted were making our way home from the Audi Nines event and were passing through Liege in Belgium so we stopped off and got the downhill bikes out for a ride around the city. Liege is famous for the Montagne De Bueren which is a huge 374 step stairway in the middle of the city so of course we had to eventually make our way to that so we could ride down them on our DH bikes! Before getting to the mountain of stairs we found some cool street spots which were pretty perfect for mountain bikes including a sketchy trials line along a wall with a huge drop to one side! Me and Tom were both on Downhill bikes and I was on my Haibike DWNHLL 8.0.

Oh hello everyone today is gonna be epic I am with Tom I stood and we are in the city of leash in Belgium we’re on our downhill bike and we’re gonna ride to meet insane stares this city has to offer I came in not too long ago Tom

Card Eve but we were not on downhill bike so I’m very excited to see how it’s gonna be today with these beasts so let’s get into it Garlan tom course is clear dropping double that oh yeah oh it’s so good on the downhill swell sick that was incredible Oh

Let’s ride down here and there’s a big Huck to flat over there what we successfully made it down them stairs just sure more or less went over the bars so did I actually but we survived and it was way about on the downhill I liked at

The bottom here is a huge drop two flats when we get slow motion we’re gonna see how our suspension works at 70 guy and Sam send it all the way to flat that was actually not too bad Tom’s gonna go as fast as he can and try and land both

Wheels at the same time so he might get a bit more move ajahn the suspension because well I’ve got so much air in mine that’s probably why it didn’t look like it moved that much get it Tom there’s definitely a spot here it could be warden gone let’s try look could be

Tom still likes me first because it’s a lot of walking and pushing today after forcing Tom to climb up numerous stairs steep hills and roads we’ve now come to the viewpoint of leash look all of that we’ve climbed up from there and just down this road here is the huge mountain

Of stairs are you ready for it probably not but I’ve got no choice are you happy that you’re here with me pushing up hills and stairs yes alright let’s get down there cuz you’re gonna love what you’re about to see it’s gonna be insane Yeah right we’ve made it to the mountain

Of stairs Tom’s face is looking scared yeah bit perplexed at life right now it’s gonna be fast the last time I was here I was on a hardtail which as you can imagine wasn’t the most comfortable experience but we have the downhill bike this time I think it’s gonna be much

Better so we’re about to hit all 325 will have many stairs of excitement get ready for a oh oh oh my god where people drop it in oh hey oh my god that’s so good yeah big arms yeah and suspension you see we survived the mountain of stairs look how many people

Needs to be home well that was an epic day that’s for sure put the steps out get into the game fish so we’re gonna pack the bikes away and then get out of this place now that’s what happens when you ride out a nines for the week and then get

Forced to walk up hills oh well we’re definitely gonna make it for your ferry so let’s pack the artless packet let’s get everything away this is the worst bit now when you know the trips coming to an end what are you going to do you are pakil your bikes Wainright my bike
