New shifters and levers and bars and pedals lol. I don’t mind the patina on the frame. Only thing I don’t like about this frame is the bottom bracket brakes…
I have a stumpjumper with those breaks. It’s an ‘86 and I think it was the only year they had them like that, so yours is probably the same age

Chainstay U-Brakes = 1988
I respectfully disagree with the other response. I don’t think U-Brakes go back to 1986.

You should tilt those brake levers down a bit, that does not look comfortable. General rule of thumb is to make a straight line from your shoulders.

i had a choice between a hard rock that had those rear brakes in a color i wanted more or one in a color i wanted less that just had the top center pull brakes. i chose the one without the low mounted brakes
