Phil Foden scored two stunning goals as City recovered from a goal down to beat Manchester United 3-1.

City had fallen behind to a thunderous Marcus Rashford goal on eight minutes – against the run of play – and spent the next 50 minutes or so trying to find a way past a resolute United back-line.

But Foden levelled on 56 minutes with a screamer into the top corner from 20 yards, then scored a delightful second ten minutes from the end of normal time.

Erling Haaland wrapped up victory with a clinical finish following excellent work by Rodrigo to make it 3-1 in added time as the Blues moved within a point of leaders Liverpool.

    1. I am just so disappointed in Haaland. Yes, we notice his flaws much more when he is one of the most praised football players of all time. But this blunder and his last, eerily similar blunder, are just straight fodder for a YouTube videos in 10 years mocking this era's strikers. Haaland is one of those players who's really fast and really strong. Combine those with a strong left foot, combine it with a great team in a league that isn't that strong right now and you have someone who can easily become the top scorer. Last season he took everyone by surprise… this season everyone is ready for him which is why Foden is so good. He has more individual quality, can score from outside the box and so on. Notice a few things about Haaland:

      – Norway national team isn't KDB level ergo Haaland has to do more work, which he isn't that equipped to do because his individual skill level is much, much lower than many strikers'.
      – He fails a lot of passes, misses a lot of chances due to a change of foot and he rarely gets past any defenders in a 1v1 situation.
      – He commits too many fouls. Combine that with his poor technical skill and you will, as we've seen, notice a lot of games where he almost doesn't have the ball inside the box. He's not creating anything ever.

Next season will probably be even worse sadly.
