My first time in Liechtenstein 🇫🇷 🇨🇭 🇱🇮 🇦🇹 《EP2》

In August / September 2021 I finally did my first ‘grand tour’ on my motorcycle. My plan was to reach a certain museum in Salzburg and then decide if I like this kind of solo traveling enough to continue or head back.

The first day was just relaxing in Colmar (France), where I ended up in the previous episode. Then I start driving towards Weesen (Switzerland) at the Walensee. The next day I continue my journey and will visit a country where I’ve never been before: Liechtenstein. I won’t stay the night here though, I already have plans to go to Boden (Austria). In the last part of my video you can see the beautiful Alps.

Yes, and I had not yet explained why I wanted to go to Colmar. Well, two reasons. First, the Tour de France has been here and then I thought it looked very nice. Beautiful German style houses. It is in France. And secondly, a Chinese reality show was shot here.

Called Chinese Restaurant, where Chinese stars cook for guests. Yes, that was a nice show. And where they cooked, I want to see if I can have dinner there. Although it is of course the original restaurant. And that was Colmar again. I’ve been there for two days.

It’s nice to have an extra day to relax. Well that restaurant from the reality show was unfortunately fully booked the first night. But the second night they still had room. So that’s where I went to eat. I also had a chat with someone who worked there at the time of the shooting.

Anyway, have a good day and we’re on our way again. And then the route. The route today goes to Weesen. And I’m going there as well. 238 kilometers. And Weesen is located in Switzerland on the Walensee. And “der” Walensee is a large lake. I have again chosen a nice hotel.

And of course a nice route. Everthing allright? Yes yes, is good. Spray chain. Okay okay. Oh, Dutchman! haha! – Yes I see it. No, I thought maybe there’s something going on or something, so I’ll stop.. No, but it’s nice of you to ask.

Well, have a good trip then, huh! – Yes you too! Thank you, hi! Oh yeah, and I want to go to a little place called Kloten. There is no bag to do. But in the distant past, the Dutch comedian Herman Finkers talked about Kloten.

I don’t know, I always had something like that I want to go there sometime. And the irony is that he doesn’t promote it. Anyway, then you can say afterwards that you have been to Kloten. And for non-Dutch viewers, kloten means balls in Dutch. So with this one, on the way to Kloten.

And then to Weezen. Well, that’s hotel Flyhof. Apparently I hadn’t saved my route. So I had to quickly recreate it, with my laptop on the bike. And then we see that we actually don’t have such a long ride. 210 kilometers. To Boden. That is in Austria. There are beautiful roads to Boden.

But before we go there, I first go to Liechtenstein. And why do I want to go to Liechtenstein? Well, actually reason one then I can check it off my list of countries I’ve visited. But it also seems to be very beautiful. And I’m actually going to a place… Mulhorn or…

Well, I can see what it’s called. So I say on the way to Liechtenstein! Hey, I think that’s that cyclist who was in the same hotel as me. Have a good trip! Look at those clouds!
