Welcome back to another cracking session guys and girls! Today we headed out into the Solent on our small 3m sib, we left from GAFIRS slipway in Gosport and headed straight out and anchored up in a mark I found on navionics, this is popular grounds for the cod when they run through, I’m suprised we didn’t get one!

He Good morning guys as youve just seen you might have seen I’m not sure but we’ve just launched from um Gaffers at Stokes Bay um just got a few things to sort out and we’ll be on our way I’ve uh just got to Prime the engine start the engine

Be I’ll tell you what today is absolutely flat calm I’m looking forward to it now I’m really looking forward to it I’m not going to go too far out at the minute because there’s big tide so there’s going to be big big current flows um but the water’s lovely and

Murky and is flat calm right now so I’m really excited got our Greg’s coffee keep it going just going to get the wheels wheels down uh up two wheels are up engine’s down just give the bulb a little squeeze get some petrol flowing in the engine hopefully you start first time that’s

It here he goes second chokes in guys let warm up for a second Locker in gear we’ll slowly head out um I’m have to have a look on avionics to see where the Mark is but hopefully I’m going to go to the mark where I’ve had uh some nice formb

Back Rays big congas and cod not very far out from the slit way I don’t know how long I’ll be able to fish there for cuz it’s big time sides so I might get kicked off there in maybe 2 3 hours but I want to get there

While I can while the tire flows still very small see if we can get a few fish let’s go Guys He anchored guys just off a Gil kicker so we’re not too far out from Shore but um I’m hoping this spot is going to hold some cod Congers and format Rays um so we’ll stay here for a while see what happens if not we’ll move a bit further

Up towards Brown FD me BR down area and see what happens um I went out last night I caught a couple of squid so I brought the squid heads with me so they’re a big size the squid heads I’ll show you in a minute and I’ve also got

Some frozen squid and some Frozen mackerel so we’re going to get Rod set up we’re using R running Ledges today probably use 10 oz weights 8 oz weight something like that see if they hold and we have got a smaller rug with us today so I might put a scratch and rig out

With small baits on see what we can pick up see if there’s a little Whiting out there catch our first one of the Year quite early be nice but yeah guys I’m going to get set up and we’ll see you in a bit there you go guys look at that for a squid

Head I’m going put one of these tentacles on I’ve got a two work running Ledger with a flyer rig so I’m put a long tentacle on that little hook on the top see if we can’t pick something little up I re that’ll be a cracking bait that tentacle look at those suckers get

That put on see what happens the bottom hook we’re going to have a bit bit of mael see what we can get on that hold on tight we’ve got a few waves just coming should be right we’re going to go with a 7 Oz weight to start off with

Flat lead and there’s our rig just bit of macel niit through the uh top a bit of squid nipped as well here come the waves that’s nothing for us to worry about at all it’s flat C so all the waves are like undulating it’s quite a bit of tired already

So don’t know how long we’re going to be able to last there we shall see right track set see what happens we’re fishing right guys I’m going to bring you back in a bit when I sorted myself out a bit and see if we can pick out a few fish

Today let’s go out second Rod’s ready I’m going to try a 7 oz grip of away on this and I’m going to put a whole squid out there it looks a bit odd because it is still frozen solid I’ll give it a bit of whipping

Just to make sure it stays on there so uh get his chucked out get this chucked out towards the channel see if we can pick up something I’m actually going to put this this tentacle on the end as well bit of extra tra very tough that squid so nit it through at the

End this cast out see what we can get guys could fish pretty well today you know let’s see how well this real is today she still screaming need to get our friend DJ to have a look at this one needs a good refurb I think good service that fog’s clearing up now which

Attacking these attracts the bigger fish the bigger fish takes the bait we shall see if I do get into a fish I’ll bring you back guys we’ve got a fish on don’t know if there’s a the weed on there or it’s just uh oh wow exitting that load of weed just came

Off we caught a little smooth amp p on that uh squid tentacle Happy Days it worked let’s get it back we got load’s a little Tippy tappy so put some um two squid tentacles on a set of feathers so if we uh get get nice bring it back got fish on guys on

Fun it’s anything big it’s first time I’ve used this Rod it’s tiny probably a dog fish want to set of feathers as well look at the bend in that little rod oh guys it was a nice bass it just popped off oh oh that was a nice bass

Guys only about 3 lb but look look at the size of the hooks I’m using they’re tiny so I’m not surprised you get off if there’s bass around I’ll get it back down wasn’t expecting a bass in the feathers must have been about maybe3 that bass but the fish are biting the fish

Are biting that’s a good sign found a nice little Mark I should have got the net ready really was expecting it to be a bass oh well I’m going to rebate the other Rod get the other Rod back out and see what we can get well guys

Got a fish on I’ve been getting a lot of dog fish I think I could have something different on it give me a bit of a fight might be a small eill hopefully another bass it’s a double dog fish oh look at that double Doggers oh the dogs

Beautiful bass number three in the net took the fresh squid again I’ve had on my bass and the fresh squid wow I’ve never caught this many decent size bass in one session I say decent size there this one’s smaller he’s he’s only a couple of pounds he’s he’s angry though
