I came to a country where only a few thousand tourist visit each year…the mysterious country of Timor Leste aka East Timor. This country is also Asia’s newest country as it got its full independence in 2002 after years of conflict and other issues.
Only 2 places in the world fly to Timor Leste and being here is certainly a challenge! With the lack of information online about the place this country was certainly going to be tough to travel! Welcome to Timor Leste! 🇹🇱

When I see your videoes in my feed I am definitely more inclined to watch them if Katarina is in them.
Great Video, I was lucky enough to visit several times around 2016 for work and really liked it. As a Portuguese speaker I was surprised how little it was spoken although given that it was banned by the Indonesians during the occupation, it should not have come as a shock. I recall that the people were very friendly and helpful. We used to fly over by helicopter and the mountains looked so beautiful, but I never had the chance to visit
Oh neat! This is a place I've always been curious about! Can you go there via boat? The hotel looked very clean and nice for $20!
A good example : a couple from Olost (Catalonia) on a Catalan tv program speakin about their stay in Timor. Yes, Timor must be splendid !
💖💘💖
You have no business riding a motorcycle. My god. I’ve seen so many tourists like you laid out in Thailand because they don’t know how to ride a motorcycle.
9:04 Chaiyya Chaiyya 🙌🏻
Ben hates Americans, unsubscribe.
So they are Latinos
I've been living here for a year now volunteering as a teacher. So cool to see you visiting this lovely island
almost all colonized country by Europeans such as Spain and Portugal in Southeast Asia, when they left, were all poor country.
When you rent a motorcycle buy a small portable 4 dollar pump you can keep traveling with flat tyre for even 500km.

¡Viva la Partridge!
Kinda late but, congrats Timor-leste on your liberation from the Indons.
Was there in 2019. Dili wasn’t really that chaotic but the people are friendly and there’s amazing scenery but there really isn’t much to do there.
Spend almost a year back in 2005. One of the best years of my life so far.
Looks amazing.
😂 dilly 🧢 city lol
Lol. I love the classic randomness when trying to fix your tyre. Pretty good room for $20 in reality.
Lunch and liquor is all you need
Oblegato mr roboto
9:06 Wait… Who is playing a Bollywood song in rural Timor Leste????
Willld lol!!!!!
Why don't Australians visit it more? It's close by
I wanted visit here this past summer while making a three week fishing trip through SE Asia. I was in Bali and when I looked at flights to Timor-Leste they were all around $3000 no matter when or how I flew. My flight from the US to Thailand was half of that. I'd still love to visit at some point, but it needs to be cheaper to get to.
Probably a wimpy tool kit on the bike .
If you have a blowout , use the screw driver and pry the tire off the rim on one side and stuff with grass .
Put the tire back on the rim.
Then drive slowly to where you have to go .
Never realized til recently how many people dont know how to change a tire
Surprised you didn't cry it off and go home after 5 minutes like usual.
He should the camera on the views and not himself
Thanks Ben – never knew about this Country. It is beautiful and made more so by Cat's go with the flow smile , laugh and attitude about everything.

Welcome to Timor leste watching from uk
9:06 Bollywood song playing in the background
The statue of Cristo Rei was not gifted by Portgusese but it was gifted by Suharto (Indonesia) to the people of East Timor aimed to buy our heart so that we can stay with Indonesia. But it turned out that we don't bite into that and in 1999 with the help of UN, referendum was held and majority of us want independence and here we are today stand as an independent country.
"You can build bridge of gold, you can build 1000 statue of Jesus Christ with gold in the country where majority of its people are the followers of Christ and you can build churches in every corner of the street in Timor. But if the people not happy, fear of the oppression and where ever you go inside your own country you need to show your ID card and being interrogated for hours and sometime tortured for not having one or simply forgot it. Well its not really a happiness isn’t it?"

good to see they're european with european style toiles not those Chinese hole-in the ground nighmares, olol
9:07 A classic Indian Bollywood song in the background. Huh. I love how cultures this far apart can be brought together. 😀
Always had an interest in the Lusophone countries, East Timor looks fascinating.
I shagged a decent looking bird from that country i met in Indonesia in Bali. I'm quite proud of that bang, not many guys can say they banged a woman from Timor 😎
It shocks me
When people from
Former colonial countries say ‘we gave them independence’ like they were a part of it, or could have been at the time. Do your research first of all no one gives Independence it’s taken, also you don’t hear other people from countries like Egypt and Iraq or Rome saying that about others
All Timorese can speak english, not like indonesian people…
Local people in Timor all speak english…
