Berlin is a large city, yet you can still see a lot of the city’s landmarks in a single day. This is a recommended itinerary:

Brandenburg Gate: Begin your day at this well-known Berlin landmark. It is especially stunning in the morning and a must-see for all travellers.

Reichstag Building: The German Parliament’s headquarters are located next to the Brandenburg Gate. Even though you might not have time for an interior visit, the building is striking from the exterior, particularly the glass dome.

Holocaust Memorial: Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe This moving memorial, which is only a short stroll from the Brandenburg Gate, is made up of 2,711 concrete slabs that are organised in a grid pattern. It serves as an effective Holocaust memorial.
Checkpoint Charlie: An important historical site, this was once the boundary between East and West Berlin. Even though it’s very touristy, it’s worthwhile to go to understand about the city’s split past.

Visit the Berlin Wall Memorial on Bernauer Strasse to see a preserved section of the wall, an outdoor exhibit, and a visitor centre that explains the wall’s history and the effects it had on Berlin.

Alexanderplatz: The big public square in the centre of Berlin may be reached by foot or a quick train ride. This is where you may see the famous TV Tower (Fernsehturm) and maybe stop by one of the food stands or cafés nearby for a quick bite to eat.

Visit Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to numerous internationally known museums and galleries, if you have the time. Notable museums include the Neues Museum, the Altes Museum, and the Pergamon Museum.

East Side Gallery: Take a stroll down the 1.3 kilometre stretch of the Berlin Wall that is lined with vibrant paintings and graffiti to cap off your day. It’s a fitting way to consider the turbulent past of the city before returning to your lodging.

Keep in mind that there is a lot of walking involved in this itinerary, so give your top priority to the sites that most interest you. To travel around more effectively, you should also think about hiring a bike or taking public transport. Have fun on your Berlin day!
