Welcome to the butterfly effect today is Perry n stage one and it’s the first day of racing for Primos rogich the Slovenian one of the best riders in the world now he has won the jural daa he has won the Balta three times and this

Is the start of his 2024 season and we all know July is coming and when July gets here we’re going to see the Big Time battle amongst four of the best riders in the world and Primos Rog starts his trajectory right here for July at Perry KN stage one how will the

Slovenian do with Borah hro in his interview he’s talking about how the main thing to figure out here at Perry nce is just how he gels with the team and how the team works together can he compete with Rim coev theole here at Perry because this is the first race of

The Season that one of the top four Riders has to battle against each other so that’s two of the top four Riders battling against each other named REM Co thepool and Primos Rush how will they do on today’s stage one and what’s more important how will they do after stage

Eight well stage one is a little glimpse of what we get to look forward to because on today’s stage it’s 157 km long three Mountain climbs but there’s one other little category in there it’s a Sprint competition coming at under 20 kilm to go and it has time bonuses of 64

And two on today’s stage so there is some interesting stuff Happening Here on stage one no doubt and because of the climbs at the Finish of today’s stage one we don’t know exactly if it’s going to be a field Sprint there’s Fabio yakobson here there’s Arnold dele

There’s Arnold dear of course we have Olaf Koy ju stages here before and we have mads Pon let me not forget Dylan gruna vagan too because we know he’s a tour to France stage winner they had highlights when I was sitting on the Chester Field of over 55 grand tour

Stages one from the sprinters alone it was like 56 stages of just the sprinters that’s not even counting the am of stage wins that rco’s won in his career his very early career and Primos rogich has won and the host of other Talent when we

Look over at the GC guys here on what’s interested we see Primos World glitch is of course a Grand Tour stage winner Rimco is aegon Bernal that’s three Riders that’s won grand Tours and then when you look down at the list and you start seeing who’s gone top five the

List is huge with writers like Jack he Carlos Rodriguez has been top five in gr tours it’s stacked fielded per knes it is no longer watered down and I’ll give you a prime time example when we get further into the butterfly effect here after the final K now when the cameras

Come on about 70 kilm to go it’s a breakaway of three Riders and two are EF education that’s yonas roach and Stefon bisinger from EF education and they got a little help there from Matthew bergero that’s total energy these three Riders are about just under 2 minutes of a gap

But when the pelaton comes into view on the cameras we see track back they’re going full gas now why are they going full gas mads Pon is why they’re going full gas because they want to make it as hard as they can over these final climbs

On today’s stage one to try to get rid of the Arnold Delise the Arnold dears the Fabio yakobson and of course the Dylan grunin vas they don’t want these big boys that have pure power going all the way to the line and the Finish has a

Little bit of a bump all the way to the Finish it’s not completely flat so we don’t know if it’s going to be a curb to curb 170 right field Sprint no way that’s going to happen for sure when you see Tre back there going full gas now

It’s curb to curb the difference between Torino adriatico and here at perin perin is always going to be nervous versus trino adriatico you get a little bit more calm period not always calm of course because it’s bike racing and we’re at the European pelaton so it’s

Going to be full gas but there’ll be less less stress in the Pelon at trino adriatico compared here to Perry n that’s why we see it full gas and that’s why we see everybody curb to curb now the guy up front we see him go up the

First Kom and it’s Jonas Ro that’s going to win maximum points here along with Matthew bergero getting second Stefon bisinger Crossing for third now they start doing some ridiculous tactics with about 40 kilometers to go we start seeing Stefon bisinger he’s attacking left and right their gap’s only at 30

Seconds and there’s another climb still coming and bissinger is not getting on the front pull and he’s attacking Matthew bergero left and right using every trick in the book was pretty cagy really when you look at the tricks he’s using but they’re basically Knuckleheads because they got a 30- second gap on the

Pelaton behind they’re going to hit the second km with just under to 40 kilometers to go bisinger is going to get dropped from the two riders in front and we see Matthew Burger though trying to hold off the field behind but he’s not getting a whole lot of help from

Yonas so they get caught halfway up the climb now just near the top with a few hundred meters to go we see Matthew bergo throw an attack and then we see Jonas he does a full acceleration to get maximum K points for the second time

Here on stage one and that’ll put him in the polka dot Jersey when it’s all said and done but guys you guys were Knuckleheads especially Stefon bisinger and Ro for attacking Matthew bergero with a 30 second Gap and you were lucky nobody in the pelaton behind was

Interested in getting any KO points is the only reason why EF education is going to be wearing polka dot at the end of today’s stage one now behind everything is still curb to curb TRS at the front borans grows at the front pseudo quick steps at the front U team

Emirates are near the front Enos are near the front all the big teams are up front and that’s why it’s curb to curb and things start getting really interesting with about 20 km to go so if you don’t have much time to watch the whole stage definitely tune in at 20 and

This is when we start seeing some interesting things you look over to the right side of field there that’s yumbo visma over there with Jorgenson Matel Jorgenson the American riter over there wearing the yellow Jersey on the right side of the road you start looking a

Little bit over to the left you see matteas skilos from track he in an ideal spot and you start looking all the way over to the left and further down well that’s rim coiple and he’s a little bit far back cuz he’s the about the seventh

Row in the Pelon but he’s slightly over to the left side of the road only about one two riders in from the right behind him that right there is Primos rogich rogich is following rco anapol but he’s going to get a little lost because he’s

Too far to the right there of rco as they starting to come up to the left turn as just before the turn starts Remco the pull knows he’s got to panic a little little bit jumps over to the left accelerates to the front of the group as

The pelaton dives into the first crucial left turn here of stage one of Perry n as they start going up the climb look over to the right side of the road Matel Jorgenson’s in a good position and REM coav the P’s trying to move himself up

To the front as quickly as he possibly can once we start getting closer to the top Jorgenson throws in a huge attack REM coev and the puls tries to follow it up but he’s a little too far behind and then we see Aon Bernal team Enos he’s interested in some bonus seconds here

Too jorgens s to win the competition here for maximum 6C bonus of course Rimco gets second and the coloman Egon Bernal round out the podium here for two second time bonuses all on Primos rogach who’s CAU napping back there now these guys are going maybe we’ll go full gas

Because it’s Rim coev the pull at the front this is the difference between a slightly watered downfield that we see earlier in the years versus here at Perry n where we start seeing the real competition all meeting up in the same Rondevu Point as REM Cool’s going full

Gas he’s not able to just destroy the pelaton like we saw earlier in Portugal now we got a quality field back there chasing but Primos Rog is in trouble ramco EV the PS up there pulling hard as he can as they’re diving left and right through the narrow streets here in

France and as they’re pulling out REM coev the pool realizes they’re going to get caught from behind but look way back there that’s Alexander vassa from borans gr the second Lieutenant first lieutenant sorry the Primos roget and and he’s got to get on the front cuz

Primos Rogue which is still a little too far back now we got one more K still to go and it’s going to come in just at about 12 13 kilm to go but before that as the climb starts rising up look at Primos roget back there as he starts

Getting a little bit closer to the front over to his teammate Mato saero as he’s still a little bit in the middle of the pelaton but probably only about 25 guys back he’ll move over to the right he’ll see Wilco kelderman from Vima Lisa bike start to accelerate to the front and

This is when we know Primos rogl winter training has been spot on they’re going fast at the front of course with sud out quickstep going full gas for Rim coool trying to keep him out of out of trouble going up this final climb here and then Primos Rog which is able to accelerate

All the way to the front to get him up there when this climb starts proper now it starts getting interesting with about 600 meters to go before the last and final K cuz aomber all team anos is throwing in his attack at 600 meters to go ramco aol’s had enough playing around

He’s he’s done enough of it already now he’s ready to go at about 500 met he comes flying right past aegon Bernal going full gas 400 meters he’s looking back over his shoulder he’s seeing everyone suffer back there 300 meters he’s looking back again as they’re starting the gaps are starting to

Explode back there but Finn fiser black from UA team members is trying to hold on for dear life his head’s dropping down he’s in pain Primos rug which is just behind Finn Fisher black and rimp gra theol is going to do one more acceleration as Finn Fisher black blows

We see Primos road which has to close the gap up there the Rimco evop this is the sign that the Slovenian is on form right now as he’s able to claw way slowly back up to rim cool and another sign that this field here at perin is

Not watered down guys this is the race to be watching here in 2024 if you just started your viewing of the 24 Race season in Europe do not miss here at Perry because REM Cool’s going full gas as he comes up to the K but Primo Rog is

Locked onto his Wheel by the time he crosses the line as they go over the top rco EV theol wants to go full gas he’s getting a little bit interested because the Gap there to the pelaton behind has exploded but Primos R doesn’t want any

Of it so Rimco Evo has to back off the gas now look at this picture right here with our K samsi Ryder he is suffering he’s got his tongue out but he’s like I’m at the front man I don’t know what’s happening but I’m at the front and I

Love it right here this is fantastic that’s Yan up there French rer from our K samsi with his tongue out and then over to the right that’s Ian Van Wilder right there Van Wilder shrugs his shoulder he’s shrugging his shoulder like oh man that hurt this when I was

Racing my bike I always loved this moment when you went through some big time acceleration and you knew you’re riding on good form and you knew you know you’re with the best riders in the world because it’s Primos Rog Rimco EVP Egon Bernal in this front group as Ian

Van Wilder shrugs his shoulder in disbelief that yep I’m still here this is great now this move gets killed because Primo Rog won’t do any work but Aon Bernal did throw in a little bit of effort to try to keep it going and it still died as none of the favorites want

To pull 100% with each other that’s usually the M Mo so behind Trek starts coming back up and that’s stoens on the front stoens is pulling because he’s got mads Pon and of course they got a GC threat with Mato skilos that’s riding in this front group two now two groups come

Together we got about 50 60 Riders to go under 12 km with tr on the front 10 km to go we see the attack from Anthony tese turis from total energy throws in his attack as he’s flying up the road then he’s going to have to suffer a

Little bit because kofidis is getting on the front from behind and they’re going to take over for Trek once they’re pulling on the front that’s holding the Gap to tures at about 16 seconds which is Big Time help right now for Tre because mat Pon only has one lead out

Guy and that’s Jasper stoen Stan’s already been on the front but we know the finish of the state stage is really where stoens has to come good so with kofus on the front it’s giving Stans a little bit of rest now as they come in the 5 kilometers to go there’s a quick

Left there you see tures he jumps the island comes out the other side going full Gas pelaton makes it through the left turn and by the island safely and they’re going full gas but now they’re getting a little bit of help with the cathlon on the front because the cathlon

Sign signed Sam benett over the winter time and the Irish Rider he wants to win a stage at Perry too so the cathlon helping out at front 2.2 km to go they wrap up tese it’s pelaton all compact right here at least the guys who survived cuz all the sprinters went out

The back Arnold dele Arnold dear Fabio yakobson got dropped and of course Dylan Dylan grun and came out the back too so now we’re coming under 1.8 kilometers to go this is when things start getting interesting right before the roundabout take a look at the four visma Riders

Over on the left side of the road one is Jorgenson the other one is Tim and Mick van djk and Olaf KO there now as we go through the roundabout take a look what’s happened as Jorgenson has the lead there there for yumbo Vima as he’s

Bringing him up to the front of the pelaton he gets up to the front and then the vizmo Lisa bike rider pulls off to the right and slots in so that he can get a draft why is he pulling off why is he not leading out well this is the

Problem when you’re looking at a group of 60 Riders right now not every team here even if you see four five six Riders from UAE te Emirates in the group earlier before we get into two kilometers to go they all don’t have sprinters they the sprinters who are in

There don’t all have lead out guys viz M Lisa bike have Wilco kelderman in the group and Jorgenson and they’re not going to help with the lead out because they’re GC guys that means Tim and Mick van djk have to do the work as they come out of the roundabout like I said

Jorgenson pulls off hard right coming up is Tim van dijk to take the lead as he’s coming up his brother Mick they twins I guess comes up on the back end of the wheel there and he bumps hard to the right side there of yasper stoen stoen

Getting a little bit grumpy over the bumping and then we see Mick get a little grumpy and come back for a second hit after that stoen you see him look over to the left like dude what are you doing I got mads Pon here he’s an ex

Road world champion and of course Mick van djk is going I got ol of Koy but Mick van djk loses it as yper stoven slides up on the Tim van djk his brother’s wheel as they’re coming down the straightaway they’ll Dive In under 1K to go and then we start seeing some

Action cuz the cathlon is rushing to the front before the right turn with 900 met to go as they’re rushing to the front they’re causing a little bit of chaos back there but not for yasper Stans or for Mt Pon who are sitting second and third wheel with Tim van djk on the

Front Tim van djk flies into the right turn look as he comes out of the right with just about 800 meters to go he’s looking back Mick van dijk’s looking back yasper stens is looking back they’re all trying to figure out what’s happening well Mick’s legs have blown he

Has to get out of the way because the the cathlon guys caus some headaches for him along with stoven back there 1.7 kilomet to go so with Mick van djk pulling out yasper Sten is sitting second wheel Tim van dijk’s first and he’s throwing down with everything he’s

Got with about 850 825 meters to go he starts to Sprint we know it’s not fast enough if you track stoven so he starts going only problem is when stoven hits the front it’s 800 M to go still that’s a long time when you got just one guy on

The front and your Sprinter sitting on his wheel and behind him is Olaf Koy now we go in about 300 meters to go as the road bends to the right we come out at 300 meters to go and all of a sudden you see mads Pon hit hard on the pedals I’m

Sitting on the Chesterfield eyes went wide as I was like mads it’s 300 meters to go you got Olaf Koy on your wheel man you better be good but he is an x-road world champion mads Pon gets on the accelerator he’s going hard with 50 m to

Go he wants to be first one into this last and final left turn as he goes into the turn first he comes out with 125 100 me to go he starts his acceleration full to the line just behind him though Olaf Koy at about 90 meters to go he’s

Starting to pull up onto the back wheel there of mattz pson 50 MERS to go they’re side by side 25 meters their side by side at 5 meters they’re side by side and then about two met to go Olaf Koy throws his bike on the left side of

Matts mads throws his bike Olaf Koy wins the stage by about a third of a wheel there for mads Pon and celebrates directly after the line another stage Victory here at Perry n for viz M Lisa bike Olaf Koy when the stage is all done Olaf ky’s got the stage he’s got the

Race leaders yellow Jersey he’s got the green jersey and guys he’s only about 22 years of age so he’s got the youth white jersey too the only Jersey he’s missing is the Kom Jersey and the most combative Jersey that went to yonas from EF education behind third on the podium who

Rounded it out that’s Lawrence piy from fdj if you look at his ride the New Zealander had a really good ride he was in good position with under a kilometer to go and when that Rush was coming from the back he was smart moved up at the

Right time to follow the wheel there into the last turn of of course Vim Lisa bikes Olaf Koy and follow it all the way to the line keep an eye out for Lawrence piy cuz he has got a very good head on his shoulder to have the ride he did in

The final two kilometers here of stage one of Perry n guys we got another flat Sprint stage if there’s not crosswind in tomorrow stage two that is about 177 180 km on tomorrow stage two should be a Sprint stage but we never know Perry n it might just blow up if the crosswind

    1. Nice of you to correctly write Roglič’s name.
He (and bora) had some contact few k before a climb and lost position and group formation so he couldn’t get to the front. But legs are there.

    2. Evanepoel has shown that he can perform at the highest level for 1 week tours – it will be a different story when he has to fight with the big guns at the Giro & TDF. These races are usually decided in the 3rd week. 1 Vuelta win is not enough – waiting for him to prove me wrong.

    3. Stuyven's determination to stay at the wheel of the 1 st van Dijke may have cost Pedersen the win now he came at the front too soon. Had he let both van Dijke's in front he could launch Pedersen later giving him a better chance of winning .

    4. trek work ,good , to finish second ,NO need to all that work . two ef ahead , and they don t make it ???????????? remco try to go on his own but fail being court back by the bunch ?????? good racing from bora . deca and cofidi chasing total energie french catching the french for nothing !!!!!!! bravo olaf for the win , visma and bora best on the day njoylife

    5. I recall the Cian Uijtdebroeks story in the news last year of him joining Jumbo LAB and was likely going to be the GC rider at the Giro. I haven't heard a peep in the news since then. Has he raced yet this year? I briefly searched online before asking this question and did not find anything but may have missed it.

    6. It's quite annoying that Visma|Lease-a-Bike team has ever yellow jersey as their jersey color concerned. They need to change now 😅

    7. I did not expect Remco's attack. He said that was the plan. In the hope, he would get support and win the 1st stage? What was he thinking??? The sprinterteams would never have allowed it. I give him that. He's full of surprises, and that makes it exciting for us.

    8. For once you overlooked somthing verry positif Chris ! Even there no worldtour team annymore Team lotto des was the whole race riding in the front, more in numbers than jumbo. In my opinion it was worth a mention from you 😉. Team lotto did a great team performance the whole race ….

    9. Primoz looked just fine. He just needs to find his racing legs. A slow-ish start to the season is a wise decision. Le Tour….let's go!

    10. Chris i love your coverage. Perhaps in addition to full gas you could say très vite, “warp speed”, “max effort”, ftp max”, “like chris boardman doing 4 km pursuit”. Etc etc. maybe fans can come up with much better suggestions..i know these are weak

    11. Hey want to say thank you for your show. When I was a kid and wanted info on the tour what I had was stats on the back of the sports section stats page. You got the finish of order and time of each rider. Did you ever race Gippigan bike race in Switzerland?
