Had to make new brake cables for this handlebar. May have made them a little short, so got another kit and made some a little longer. Not I’m not sure which looks/ is better. Thoughts?
Personally, I prefer the *tightest* appearance possible. I just trimmed my brake cables last month, in fact.
What I did was turn the wheel *all the way* to one side, and pulled the corresponding brake cable until it was tight. Then I marked it two finger lengths beyond the caliper and trimmed it to there. Just a little excess is all I wanted.
I had considered making my own internally-routed cables because my SS has a dirt-cheap frame that I don’t really care about. I don’t have the right tools, though. For now…

I keep mine taught, I’d be careful though, the front cable might get hung up something… Just saying… Clean ride though, all black is sharp and the tits…

My first thought when I saw the bike was “damn that’s clean” so I wouldn’t stress too much lol.
