In this video, you will join me along an exciting eurovelo 8 bikepacking trip as…

I woke up on day two in Turin. I checked out the hotel breakfast and tried to work for rest of the day due to thunderstorms.

Then I took a break and headed downstairs to check out the hotel’s backyard, only to realize the worst – Komoot crashed and ALL my planned rides were GONE!

I was so devastated I had to share my experience with you.

Determined not to let this ruin the trip, I spent the next day searching for an alternative. And after hours of research, I finally decided to invest in a Garmin as a backup bike navigation system.

Thank you for following my adventure!

What’s up guys good morning second day in touring it was raining yesterday so now we are going to check the breakfast I’m kind of looking for it so guys this is the breakfast in this hotel the buffet was basic but plenty with scrambled eggs and sausages and sweets yeah there’s the

Eggs sausag jues h and a cheese so uh bread and some juice yeah should be enough so let’s eat it gave me enough energy for what promised to be a rainy day of work ahead after a long day of work I took a moment to unwind in the [Applause]

Evening Su guys it’s 700 p.m. finished some work still have plenty of work to do but told myself to take care break here and check out the Backyard there is a backyard it’s pretty empty right now oh by the way it rained pretty hot uh there were thunderstorm as well like uh maybe three hours ago however I was struck with frustration when I realized that Kut had crashed resulting in the Lost of all my bik tour logs and routs

One thing that happened is that I lost all my kud data as you know I’m using kud for bike navigation I imported the whole A8 route into the app and I recorded the trip for the whole fast 3 weeks from triest until toine and today suddenly it start crashing I don’t

Know the reason but when I open the app it just crashed updating the app didn’t help I removed the app from app store and uh inside again and then it work again but uh the consequence is that I lost all the data all my roots all my stops that I recorded I’m very

Disappointed because I paid a lot of money for unlocking all the maps and I thought I would use it as the main navigation app but since it failed me it’s just so heartbreaking because I cannot go back and see where I stopped how fast I went and how much kilometers

I I rode so I have to maybe a switch to straa or something because this is unacceptable for bike touring and completely losing all the data I’m disappointed and kind of sad but from now on I will still have to use commute until I find an proper replacement I

Will have to come with losing the data from now on or I will have to use other app for recording the routs so that’s just my uh impression from kud after uh three weeks of cycling through Italy it was so crushing to lose the records of the paths I have

Traveled through since the beginning I spent my last day at hotel searching for commut Alternatives my stay in toine was coming to close and I needed something that won’t crash eventually I ordered a Garmin 1040 solar as a backup back navigation but more about that in the next episode
