When I was out riding my EMTB I made a discovery as to why everyone will eventually own an EMTB in the very near future…

Since EMTB become a thing it has been super controversial which often happens when a new thing comes along but slowly over time the “E BIKE HATERS” have disappeared as these incredible bikes have been accepted.

As the title suggests I have cracked the code and found the real reason why the future is pointing towards electric mountain bikes.

In this video I am riding at Twisted Oaks on my fully custom Haibike LYKE 11 EMTB learning new tricks like 360’s & Backflips!!

Spring is just around the corner and we are here today at Twisted Oaks bike park having a session learning new tricks and just having The Best Time Ever if you joined us for the last video then you would have seen that we was riding in some quite interesting

Conditions and that has left my bike in an absolute State meaning that before we do any riding in this video the bike needs a clean up because I’m not taking it anywhere looking like that I just want to show you this real quickly because it’s super interesting

The top part of this frame has got a ceramic quick coat on it which means the quick coat stops the dirt sticking to the frame so I haven’t had to use any cleaner or any brushes to agitate the dirt which stops your bike being scratched it just fell off with the

Water from the pressure washer I’m going to finish cleaning this up quickly and then we’re going to get ourselves out in the trails where today we’re going to hopefully be learning a few new tricks we’ve made it to Twisted Oaks bike park now and after a few days of riding some

Technical downhill I’m stoked to be back on the jumps and we’re actually going to be practicing because as you’re watching this video I’m going to be in an airplane on the way to Costa Rica for the Fire Ride Festival which is like a jam style contest I’m going to be taking

The like cuz it’s like a slope Duro style event I can just fly without the battery and that’s absolutely perfect so today is a good opportunity to hit some jumps practice a few tricks I’ve got some new ones I want to trying the mulch we’re going to warm things up over here

On the dirt jumps so let’s get it this is so good the dirt jumps section I really enjoy the transfer option that you have here oh nice big soe there into the M yo yeah oh nice big Sue there into the mulch yo yeah and I hope you guys noticed well

I hope my necks are a lot better I think it could be fun on this last one to try to do a suicide no hander to Lander who why does that never get less scary but it’s actually ridiculous so three hands off keep them off that’s the tricky

Part oh ni oh that was a sketchy one Yeah who yeah yes I actually have to put my hands on quite quick because the turns there I don’t want to go flying out that I think we make our way now over to the mulch jumps because there’s a new trick that I want to try and learn on the ebike we’ve

Left the dirt jumps and we made our way over to the mul jump section there’s three kickers here all different size different shapes and it’s perfect to practice a few tricks I’ve got a new one that I want to do however we are going to start this session on the middle jump

That I’m sat on now and warm things up with a back flip you Flip’s feeling good it’s a little bit windy but I want to come over under 360 on this kicker I’ve done a few fly out threes on the ebike recently and I think I’m ready now to try it on a

Proper jump but it’s pretty scary I’ve never freed an ebike and I’ve just got that thing in my head that it’s going to be difficult it’s Mind Over mattera which biking is all the time let’s see how we get on the good thing with this

Setup is you can just do it to the top to understand the lip which is what we’re about to do it’s perfect I think I just have to go faster now and clear it which is the scary bit here we go then I’m pretty scared for this I’m not going to lie oh

Happy with that I want to do it again I have to I need to I’m going [Applause] to That’s been on the list for a while that trick and the feeling didn’t disappoint it was it feels so good I’ve been down on the big lip which feels nice for the big bike because it’s very gentle and it makes the trick feel nice as you come

Out of it but what I want to do is head over here and try it on the slightly steeper one it’s more of a challenge because this kicker has a tighter radius and it’s more realistic you don’t tend to find kickers as big as that one and

I’m not sure there’s going to be one like that in Costa Rica so it’s important that I dial it in on the steeper one the tighter radius makes it difficult because the bike’s long so as you spin it’s really easy to like drag your wheel on the top of it and that

Makes you stop spinning and have a big crash hopefully that doesn’t happen let’s go find out oh yo there we go I got a load of [Applause] wind oh yo there we go I got a load wind ebike 360s just shouldn’t feel that good I was scared for years to give that a

Try and I’m so so pumped with how it feels and what it’s like it’s incredible I just want to do more and more I think we should go down there see if the red Line’s windy cuz there’s a cool jumpy section at the bottom we’ve come down to

The bottom of the red track now this is the section I want to play on and try to put a few runs together first thing I need to do is take that 360 from the mulch to dirt we got a proper step up behind me it’s scary again let’s give it a go

Y yeah yes I haven’t learned a new trick or something that I’m stoked on for such a long time that’s incredible we’re going to go up to the hip cuz I’m going to flip that then try to get a no foot can on the second hip but let’s see what

The wind’s doing this is the plan then we’re on the hip the first one flip this left hip then we go into that jump behind us there which is a right hip so good for no foot cans but the wind coming like across it which is going to

Make it pretty gnarly because if I’m in a can can and it takes you’re just going to die so I’m going to judge that as I come to it see where we’re at we’re playing fire with the wind down here a little bit today right now it’s

Gone still again and it was when I dropped in but as I pulled for the flip it slowed me down upside down so much and it felt like I was going to go over the bars I was at the point of bailing which obviously we don’t want to do I’ve

Got a flight to catch I don’t want to risk crashing and having an accident so what I’m going to do is I’m going to hit a trail in the woods quickly and then we’re going to go back and pack the bike down so what I love about this bike is

We’ve been smashing 360s all day and we can literally flick that switch and that one and the bike goes from being perfect for jumps and tricks to being a lot softer and squidging now so that we can hit rum trousers one of the trailers in the woods definitely not doing any tricks

And flips on these jumps but they’re fun to flow here we go into the big yo no braks oh that that corner is so quick and fun my work is done here at Twisted Oaks today I’ve achieved what I wanted we’re now going to head home because

It’s time to pack the bike down and get ready for Costa Rica there we have it then my bike is all packed into the bag and we’re ready for our 15h hour flight to Costa Rica which if you’re watching this video early I will be on the plane right now that was honestly such a good session today those

360s on the ebike are feeling so good and I hope that when we get to the event then I’m going to be able to bring that trick out on the dirt I just can’t believe how capable the lightweight ebikes are these days this High bike like is definitely by far the best bike

That I’ve ever had and I honestly see a future where everyone is riding bikes similar to this you get everything in one A downhill bike a jump bike an ebike cross country you can take the battery out we’re flying without the battery so it’ll work just as a normal bike it
