The budget bike battle of britain sponsored by oxford I don’t even have food poisoning Summit sleeping bag onesie this is lovely and warm in this um it’s an early start until like early starts i think we’re nearly well feeling more we’ve got them we’ve got a couple attempts i still have to go so that’s wrong Feel part of the bbb action with this limited edition battle of britain decal available in the merch store now well morning campers it’s uh about seven a.m We don’t want to wake anyone up so uh once we’re gonna tow booty out and keep the peace there we go we’re rolling it’s actually quite nice getting towed stuffed you just sit here don’t you i hope we’re gonna get up them big hills the uh this although it looks quite flat down

Here the um the exit road to this campsite is particularly steep which was good yesterday just rolled down it but um now is uh at least we have to really really stretch the piaggio x whatever it is oh oh bit slack i’ll watch out oh oh oh [ __ ]

Well i i had the burger the other guys had pizzas and at about two in the morning i woke up thinking don’t feel very nice now and then i was like yeah i think i feel a bit sick i was like oh yeah i think i’m gonna be sick and then basically oh

God [ __ ] help the whole affair lasted for a couple of hours just throwing up in the campsite toilet which was pretty disgusting i couldn’t find any water and it was freezing and i’d never have to go camping again particularly on these fine mechanically operational machines i won’t be disappointed [ __ ] well it wouldn’t be the it would be our mornings without the the ritual of the uh the golden chariots [ __ ] you can’t even [ __ ] bump them can you why Why huh but if you push it down the hill like yesterday the engine was turning over no that’s because that’s because the engine was already engaged At least the battery’s good [ __ ] hell well it could be temperature moisture fuel have you got a hole in your fuel tank no that’s really now there’s fuel in it yeah [ __ ] [ __ ] come on come on come on start come on stop things weren’t looking favorable for booty and his golden chariot while he fiddled the unthinkable was becoming a reality [Applause] Well um i’m afraid to say that i think the only choice is to leave booty behind which is which is historic on bbb we’ve never left a man behind but the sort of crescendo of all of this is to go around this go-kart track which we’re now

Already 15 minutes late for so it makes no sense ourselves sitting here so we gotta go see what mate sorry mate i’ll leave you my uh nachos right i’ve got my um that’ll do oh that’ll do it yeah the spa will be open soon you can get some breakfast in

More than if it rained i need an internal paper but there are some uh heat vents in here which i think um once we’re up to temperature it’s going to blast some warming air that’s already doing the job this is like you said this is historic

Now we’ve just pulled up on a junction and chris’s bike stops and that won’t start right we’re really having to limp home a little bit here well it’s going but there’s something that there’s an issue it’s it seems to be road speed rather than engine speed this knocking i think it

Might be a a hot water light just came on when it wouldn’t start a minute ago so i i’m gonna i’m gonna guess that the fan the cooling system something to come to attach to is knocking around in the wind up front and for whatever reason the cooling system

Is now not functioning properly um because it does seem to be much worse when it’s hot [ __ ] hell no surface jesus we’ve got six minutes six minutes and this these hills are torturous you indicators are now come on baby and i think there’s a secondary issue which is a blocked or a clogged

Fuel filter or fuel system i think i’m just going to practice [ __ ] out of it on a go-kart track and hope it stays together but then i’ve got to drive it four hours home i think i’m just gonna ring b moto i might cut the fuel line and say oh

Fight’s broken before it start okay let’s go and recover me home with titanium cover from bimoto how’s the pig doing well mate no problem dear absolutely seamless execution from start to finish so uh i’m very happy with my little pig that’s what you spend two rounds yeah well you always smash through the

Central reservation okay she feels better when she’s cooler she’s cooler i think she doesn’t like the heat must be a temperature thing i hope they make a new scene i’d buy it i think are they talking about it i think something to do with the their electric scooter which does look pretty

Cool and i think they do have a some sort of application that california emissions job thing with that releases all the data um it does seem to have like a cage like this over the top as a clip-on option but the new one wouldn’t be as funny

Yet because this is a destination just yeah yeah yeah yeah that’s what it was all about i feel sorry for booty he’s not here in this triumph at the moment and here we are sports they build this engine see if their sponsors can help me all right it’s probably serious here then yeah

Proper do you think visibility is going to be an issue why don’t you just say where rather than just here here as in here we okay well you weren’t there that was here i was behind you here here hold on baby you made it Well i don’t know if you can hear me over the dinner the exhaust of this thing but um yeah the good news is i managed to get it started well the bad news is that in doing so i’ve um i’ve nicked one of the fuel lines

I think a lot of i think i’ve got a fuel plate while i have our fuel leak now so a biker was previously known really really really bad um [Applause] whilst i didn’t have a few issues with this fight previously i think i’ve i think i’ve got a few more now because

I filled up a build up with their fuel just as uh just after i got it running and [Applause] it was on a it was on a full tank uh and now i’ve done 15 miles and it’s on our town it’s really quite embarrassing to be honest And i’ve got some more problems now um so in the in the investigator while i was [ __ ] i’m trying to fix it i’ve um i’ve damaged the fuel pipe so somehow i’ve got a bad fuel leak so so i’ve used you i filled up as a left um

And it was on a full tank and i’ve got actually it’s gone off because i turn this switch off but it’s a half tank now well we’ve got graphite got it sticks yeah yeah well what i might do is i think i think i’ve it’s the end of the

Fuel pipe so i might i’ve got a stand enough i might just cut the end off and put the put the jubilee clip back on what what what are we gonna do then we’re gonna do some sighting laps with him he won’t be laid out like that okay his buddy made it

But it does smell quite fuelly really bad there’s a there’s a bad fuel leak i’ve done it of course it must i think it was probably leaking fuel before um i might want to get out of it before it combusts right so he needs to get his bike sorted

Scrutineered we’re gonna go and bust some sighting laps yeah enjoy yourself boys right welcome to clay pigeon raceway oh almost run sam over Wow oh my god am i going to make it under the gantry i can’t see through the screen still oh right corn apex i caught a curb oh this is horrible this left-handers this is where it’s going to cost me time i’m bringing you i’m in already is it quite grippy this eureka

Well yeah i guess so god do you think i’m gonna hit my roof on the uh start gantry i can’t move out of the chair here it’s really difficult because it’s got these like um sort of safety cell things which you probably shouldn’t be out The other boys are um uh getting some sighting laps in i think although i can’t hear anyone going around so maybe one of them’s crashed probably um anyway so the nippy has not nipped up but we’ve got some serious problems the uh the exhaust as you’ve probably already seen snapped off um but

We’re gonna hope that the uh the bungee keeps it something like attached to the bike but my major concern at the moment is this i don’t know there was a fuel leak coming out of there but it seems to have stopped i don’t know if you can see that there’s

Fuel running all down here but it seems to have stopped so i don’t really know why i have just tightened that up really slightly maybe i fixed it sweet can’t do anything on the right-handers at all late apex oh man this is horrible down you bastard i’m struggling to sort

Of see because i’ve got massive great pillars in the way i thought my glasses off i can’t see anything yeah it’s not a bad shout so oh i just can’t get out of the thing oh my god mate that was so sketchy it’s so horrible i can’t tell you Oh so horrible oh he’s dummy he’s dummy on the right [Applause] i found the problem this fuel line here is just i don’t know if you can see that it’s just all completely perished and there’s a big hole in it there so that’s why i’m losing all my fuel i’m gonna

Cut the end off where it’s really bad there and um luckily there’s like enough slack in it so hopefully i can uh get it fixed let’s go through the pit lane here well i think i fixed it um the uh the issue was this little bit of fuel line here which is completely

Perished i think um i’m gonna blame that new e10 fuel yeah it wasn’t like that before anyway i’ve managed to cut the cut the offending article off and hopefully the rest of the fuel pipe will uh i’ll hold up because i think I think there’s uh i think i’ve stopped it leaping up to now Right let’s tell them boys are getting on well sees that first give it a go i mean it’s it’s hard to ride on the road at normal speeds but when you’re trying to push it it’s just horrific i mean you saw it yeah it’s horrendous it’s wild yeah it’s just so sketchy

And i prefer to sort of be nice if we had a bit more time let a bit heat seek into this bit damp and dank dank and dampen dank on two wheels with a high center of gravity is not good you reckon michael um oh she didn’t have to spectate to be honest

Um yeah i suppose that’s that’s my own fault for having a bite that wasn’t it’s perfect for purpose yeah i probably i probably didn’t help the situation jumping over that horse [ __ ] yesterday i thought it was uh i thought it was really funny to do that but that’s probably what’s caused me exhausted

Here he goes here he goes come on right so we’ve got a um warm-up lap and then we’re going for the hottie here he is first line lap what we got 102.05 102.05.05 we don’t really uh we’ve got nothing to compare that too oh it’s messed up right up whoa

Come on come on eats come on come on see wonder a bit too early in there on the gas early as you can boom towards the pedestrians just standing on the track kind of inside that’s the worst corner for this bike there come on through the little flip flap on the gas

Oh he’s got a tank slapper on on the brakes He’s another hot one is he yeah bloody hell he’s going from lean angle there 101.1 that’s the fastest so far he’s getting faster and faster and faster and it’s sometimes a little bit concerning when someone does that just keeps going faster especially when the one whether or not

Them things on the car track that’s still a bit dank All that engine hesitation hard on the gas hook it in hook it in hook it in right constant keep it smooth well one minute flat point six was the target one minute flat point six i mean yes there’s loads more time in it but

Until it warms up a bit there’s no way i want to go oh i don’t want to fall i do not want to crash inside this but see what elder luggernuts has got in his pocket i think it’s going to be really close i think it’s going to be really close

So uh let’s uh let’s get back to the pits nice and safe but primary well done c1 that you’ve got that horrible little hesitation on you but you did well and um you made it to the end and that’s the most important bit so uh thank you for everything cheers don’t see wonder

Wait it was so close to the stock one of them we were ahead and then we’re like oh god it is absolute my brakes the brakes are gone so i had to slow down and let him cool down a bit and then go again oh yes i’d rather lose by five seconds mate

Oh that was so close but we’re on the stopwatch i was like oh he’s like he’s done it oh he’s done it by a tenth but we don’t know we’re on the stopwatch i thought oh god oh that was uh as i probably could have i probably could

Have beaten it but i would have died so i died at least three times out there it was that is i do not want to do that again ever no no they’re they’re you know the not the comfiest they are the most easygoing bikes we’ve ever had

And yet they’re the most dangerous but that bat was there could be there probably is 10 seconds in there if you’re prepared to do what i’m not prepared to do because it’s just 10 seconds maybe not but anyway oh well you didn’t need to anyway but yeah

That was as fast as much as i was prepared to go without it without death every single left-hander is just a waste of time on this yeah absolute waste of time yeah it’s frightening watching you just like lifting the thing up like that up and down up and down it’s frightening scary horrible

Horrible oh man on that it was you just had to just be a sweepy and maximum stability as possible i’m all the way around the outside to get so i’m all the way on to the left to get in because you can’t go through this again just like this
