Vartkes Baronijan- “Malayan monkey”, song for baritone and piano
🔶Vartkes Baronijan- was a Yugoslav and Serbian composer, university professor and an editor at the Radio Television Belgrade.
He was born on 23 April 1933 in Belgrade, Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He was of Armenian descent. He graduated from the Josip Slavenski Music School in Belgrade, and in 1963 from the composition department of the Faculty of Music at the University of Belgrade in the class of professor Predrag Milošević.
He wrote a large number of works such as Concerto for Orchestra, Divertimento for Flute, Clarinet, Strings and Percussion, String Quartet, Sonata, Variations, Suite for Piano, Sonata for Saxophone and Piano, a large number of songs. He was engaged in writing stage and film music. He is the composer of over 70 film and television productions. He is the author of the famous book “Music as an applied art”. A documentary film was made about him in 1995.
🔶Ljubomir Milanović- baritone
Played the piano as a child and won multiple 1st prizes. He began his music studies in Mannheim (2020) in the class of Snežana Stamenković. Since then, he has sung in numerous concerts in Mannheim and other German cities. As a member of the choir (National Theater Mannheim) he sang in operas, symphonies, requiems by Mozart, Wagner, Mahler, Brahms, Weber, Meyerbeer… June 2022, he made his concert debut as the baritone soloist in Duruflé’s Requiem (with the RTS Symphony Orchestra and Choir, Kolarac Hall, Belgrade). In April 2023, he had his opera debut as Mr. Gobineau in Menotti’s The Medium. He is a scholarship holder of the renowned Deutschlandstipendium (2022,2023). Masterclasses include: D. Bižić, C. Visca, L. Oropesa, J-Noël Briend, R. Piernay, T. Hampson, B. Fassbaender.
🔶Jovanka Mihajlović- piano,
was born in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, at the Department for singing in the class of Professor Nikola Mijailović.
Jovanka Mihajlovic graduated at the Department for piano, as well, in the class of Professor Jelena Jovanović- Petrović.
She completed lower music school “Josip Slavenski” the Department for harpsichord, in the class of Professor Svetlana Stojanović.
She works as a teacher of singing in the Music school “Stanislav Binički” in Belgrade.
