Paris Brest Paris, the most iconic randonneuring event in the world! Even has a dessert named after it, which is clearly the highest honor of all.
Please SUBSCRIBE and LIKE! I’d love for this video to get in front of more people
PBP is really about the people: 8000 participants from all over the worlds, thousands of volunteers from clubs in each of the control towns, and then the thousands of regular people along the route cheering, giving water and food at all hours of the day and night. You were never alone!
This was my second time doing it. I made it both times, and this year I felt stronger. My first time I got to the end, but I had bad saddle sores, numbness in my hands and fingers, pain in my back and legs. I was a mess! This year I felt good for really most of the ride … except right before the end when I got a case of Sherman’s neck that almost made me stop.
It was an incredible experience! I am glad that I did it and that I finished.
Took me a long time to put it together: I was almost done and my computer broke. I had backups of the videos, but not of my edit! I hope you enjoy this video, let me know in the comment!
Hello everyone! Today I am in Rambouillet I am about to start the oldest cycling event in the world, Paris Brest Paris Now we wait Merci The first two hours were crazy I have been riding with this group I had to stop for 30 seconds to put on my reflective jacket
Turn on the lights and now the group is gone so cool to see all the French people in these villages just out and cheering Almost at the first … .. resupply, I guess. It’s not really a control, it’s Mortagne I am at mile 110 the panorama is darkness darkness darkness
With red lights so, another 60 miles before the next control It’s going to be quite a bit of time It’s 2.30am, and probably I’ll get there by sunrise I am tired! Oh my gosh. I am sleepy I need coffee I stopped, there is a random stand
I was falling asleep, I need to wake up sunrise! I have to say the landscapes don’t really change that much I made it to Loudeac so this is the end of the second day I have been awake for 25 hours and I am looking forward for a nap
After I got in Loudiac I picked up my bag, and then took a shower, and changed that was amazing I decided to not stay in Loudeac to sleep as it was kinda early and I am heading towards Carhaix or St Nicolas depending on how I feel it got cooler
It is not anymore scorching hot, with some wind this was a secret control They are doing this so that you don’t cut the route 7 km to St Nicolas where I am going to get a bed and sleep for a few hours brr I just got out of the sleeping area
I am freezing The break in St Nicolas was amazing I slept for 2 hours and a half in a very nice cot super warm now I have much more energy I am going to get another layer on I am cold! destination: Brest we are heading to Paris now
We are at a secret control the second secret control on the way back this time was between … I need to eat something my sugar is very low Galette-saucisse it’s a crepes with a sausage inside it’s a genius idea it’s everywhere here I love it these are my hands
Both of them are super red, they hurt quite a bit out of Carhaix, it’s hot I saw a sign saying 32c, but I don’t know it’s a lot I am sweating like crazy, trying to drink but it’s hard the plan is to get the control stamp pick up the drop bag
Take a shower and decide if I want to continue, or sleep here for 2-3 hours galette-saucisse again and coffee I am so hungry, this is going to give me some energy to get to the next stop which actually I don’t know where it is
Super quick stop, we are going to get going again see if we can find food outside somewhere I got a delicious sandwidth here, and one to go 110 miles to go, overall 50 miles to the next stop Mortagne let’s get to Mortagne it’s hot it’s super hot
Normally in the evenings it gets colder now it feels hotter than the afternoon I had to wear the reflective vest oh my gosh it’s so hard I am sweating like crazy ciaoo yay the end where is everyone we made it we made it oh my gosh that’s amazing wow that was long
My body is not in good shape but it was fun

Great video! I can't believe this was over 6 months ago already. Way to stick it out through the tough times. Sorry to hear about you losing the first version of the edit for this video 🙁
Thank you for sharing! I hope that one day I will participate in this amazing event!
how was the open bike performing?
