A risk whether this is going to look good or not obviously I’m like a lot of people want to keep lights up all year don’t have to change them I’ve been getting much more into the lighting now and to say these are a good option with regards to keeping them up all year
Different holidays and stuff so hoping I made the right decision having waited for the right opportunity one came up and I’ve got myself some lights so here goes the good bit of unpacking bit like Christmas so it is a 50 foot version 15 M as I understand
It and let’s see if it has come as they said so you got quick start manual button which is the power looks like C it power button and good got plug in for England and this I assume has got the lights and the stickers and sort it yeah there’s one
Two sets and in there use a manual some stick Stiers and the stuff for attaching it to the roof so I’m going to now connect these up power them on and just make sure they cycle through okay like I say should be this was a 50 m set and I’ve got it for
10 Al I’ve got 10 m and I got it for less money CU we don’t know how this is going to work on the setup of an English house but hopefully we’ll we’ll show you and uh make it work anyway so out of sight I’ve plugged them in and
This comes the nervous moment when you’re buying something off eBay press the power button on and that’s the first bit of worry out the way it seem to be cycling through the lights perfectly I have to check in every individual one but yeah first panic out the way
Hopefully they’re working which is good news I guess I won’t find out until I’ve started putting out but uh there’s a look at all the other stuff that comes with it got some extra 3M stickers but obviously all the lights have got them on the back and the other things are to
Screw into the EES when you’re putting it up just as an extra help to keep them attached in case that you want that extra bit of purchase on there but yeah that came in the Box as one of the lights and a quick start and the user
Manual as per usual it being me I’ve miscalculated something although I’m I guess it was uh YouTube that led me that way because it’s uh given me the wrong stere but I assumed that there was an extension cable in this cuz I was going to run it across my EES run the
Extension cable down one side and then run some more lights across the middle to make it look symmetrical but this pack didn’t have the extension cable in and when I looked at all the instructions and what should be in the box there is no uh extension
Cable so I don’t know what I messed up here but basically maybe this is an older version of the the lights again it’s not biggest deal in the world with regards to like not knowing that but all the videos I’ve seen suggested there was a cable that I could put between both
Sets of 5 m that would at least now then give me the way of getting it to the light system that I wanted but uh Hey Ho I’ve now got to rethink everything because it’s not going to come like I thought it was so just something to know
If you buy these lights that um if you see on the videos on YouTube that somebody suggesting there’s an extension to be able to move it around the corner up side of a house and then join the next lights uh do check the box because it would appear that that’s not the case
For all of them so here’s me saying it up by the app just to see that it makes sure it connects fine as you can see very quickly at the top it recognizes it the h705 B lights so I press the button to make sure that that connection was
Made and there you go permanent outdoor lights found it fine this is where I made a bit of a mistake I was on my 5G Network at the time in my house and it wasn’t connecting so that baffled me for a minute so I went to settings on my phone
Made sure it was on my 4G one pretty straightforward had to go again and as you’ll see it made the connection really really quickly and here I am in the app uh there was obviously a firmware update that needed doing so clicked on that and I’ve I’ve cut it out a bit
Obviously you don’t want to see all of that but it was pretty quick All Things Considered and um yeah took me into the app then had a quick look around to see what the scenes were before I get to use them just having a quick quick look and
Uh yeah I’ll be looking forward to messing about with those when the lights go up for sure it’s about now that I realized I live in a really awkward house and uh the bed in my daughter’s bedroom’s right up against the window as a a cupboard so
I had to move everything to get to do this but I wanted to see if I could make sure whether the lights look okay before leaving them up um behind her cupboard I plugged it in so um that’s the power and this is not easy for me cuz
I’m incredibly scared of heights but earlier I attached them all along the eaves with some black gorilla tape just to hopefully see what they look like tonight I’ll also try and put it through the window this way to show the end of it obviously I’m going to neaten that up
But yeah let’s have a look what they look like in the dark T I make a proper judgment whether these sorts of lights are a good idea in England the outside version of those lights that have been put up with Gorilla Tape so going say let’s wait
Till this evening and test them out see what they look like right with the actual hope that nobody comes around the corner and runs me over whilst I’m stood here I’m going to turn them on right they work that’s good good start right looking at this
App let’s try scene just to see what they look like very 970s don’t look too bad I was expecting worse I must admit because the lack of wall space but it’s not perfect but not too bad let’s put another Festival on as it’s March let’s make sure we put some Christmas stuff on
Yeah that’s okay I mean people have to judge it themselves but I don’t think that looks too bad and let’s change it just to a color good uh that works turn the brightness down a bit yeah got to be happy with that it has worked um I
Haven’t got a music to test it got the segmented colors which are here so want to make that blue that goes blue over there want to make that one red oh actually made both red don’t understand the ticking process quite yet it’s beyond me I’m too stupid anyway it
Kind of all works so yeah very pleased um obviously not as brilliant as some of the American houses because they’ just got a nicer look to them with regard to more wall between Windows but if you’re thinking of getting them in England this is a good idea of what you
