On the 3rd day of the Fjord Cycling Route Bike Tour in Norway, my friend Katelyn and I left our hotel where we had spent the previous two nights and cycled north toward the Sognefjord – the longest and deepest fjord in all of Norway. Along the way we ran into a cow crossing, cycled down a steep mountain, visited the Masness Wildlife Museum, and then ate dinner in our lovely glass-covered hotel.

So it’s the third day of our bike tour though you’re like we’ve been on the road for that ten minutes it’s cold and sprinkling rain the steepest part of our day today is this climb here right at the beginning the first couple kilometers which you can see straight ahead and then once we
Get up there I think it’s pretty much all downhill or flat for the rest of the day this road run is really great there’s like no cars it feels like we’re cycling in the North Pole or something really remote and quiet auslan looks like we got a cow
Crossing up here cows in the road it’s tearing me down I don’t think they like me guys get out of the way there you go thank you move go Kaitlyn move hey he got a little scary huh yeah yeah now they really stare you down awake yep
This is honestly like the best night I’ve had in Norway it is awesome so we just made it to the top of the hill and now we have a big down hill in front of us big down this is the type of landscape thing you think of when you think of Norway
We’re stopping for lunch eat our pack lunches that we got at the hotel this morning right along the edge of the feud what’s the name of this fjord some get cured or something like that is the point of view is this yours yeah yeah I don’t wanna make all this okay
Begins a little healthy how many animals are in here so the animals aren’t killed in the wild yeah they are killed annoying yeah do you have coffee right now I think not for me but maybe you well that was quite the place so what do
You think of that Museum he said it was your worst nightmare or something and there was like five hundred elk heads in that little room that was a lot of yeah I’m vegetarian also yes I mean I think partially I did I am vegetarian cuz I
Don’t want to kill animals you know and that guy was saying like most of those animals weren’t killed just to be stuffed and on the wall some of them were some of them were he said and then I think of the taxidermy process of like handling the dead animal to preserve it
For the joy of looking at it and the same reason that you put animals in a zoo is so like people can come to see them yeah like some people think oh well that’s wrong for animals to be in a zoo just so people can come to see them but at the
Same time like I think in a way you’re educating people about those animals so that when you see them in the wild or you want to protect them more in the wild yeah you know what I mean so like I could I could view it from the
Standpoint of like well this one animal is maybe leading a worse life so that the whole species of animals could leave a better one potentially you know anything yeah I can we saw only animals from Norway yeah which is which is cool because on the bike you don’t have the opportunity to
See those animals so I guess you can appreciate their beauty and get a close-up then yeah see different things and learn about these animals that you wouldn’t otherwise see right cuz how many of those animals have we actually seen zero like the birds some of the birds maybe or something yeah yeah I
Could see some people really being really disturbed by what they are offering in there to be honest yeah but I could also see a lot of people saying wow that’s really amazing that like in this one place we can see every animal in Norway okay now we should
Cycle on and forget about all the data animals have our lights on we’re turning our lights on getting ready to go through this tunnel you see behind me there you are now you’re on all right here we go I know it would have to worry about her
On the fight I mean she’s totally and ready for the science never done a bike before two more tunnels and then we’re there and last tunnel of the day yeah okay see on an ice cream all by yeah either side I don’t care maybe one near the electric lab this side I want
Did you do both like a morning workout and then do work or something in the afternoon and then do a long thing like more so that’s it for today the Sun is setting behind me it’s been one heck of a day probably one of the best days of
Bike turn I’ve had this year probably maybe ever this was really a spectacular day from the hotels we stayed at to the food we ate to the roads we were cycling on I had some good company it was fantastic so fantastic day really really really great and there’s more to look forward
To which is awesome so we’ll see what’s in store for tomorrow
