OUR STAY AT CAMPING INTERNATIONAL LA HALLERAIS.
We’re on the run homeward, heading northwards, towards the ferry….but still have a few days to kill, so decide to visit the medieval town of Dinan in Brittany.
The campsite we choose to stay at is around a 15 minute cycle to the town, along a lovely riverside cycle way along the River Rance.
It’s a great campsite with acessible cycle routes nearby, and good facilities. a spot we would definitely visit again.

[Applause] we should be coming up to the campsite very soon turn right then you have reached your destination tarden yeah that’s where we’re headed camping laal yeah that’s where we’re headed this is it yeah camping the hall stop new arriv reached your destination right that’s pretty obvious

Let’s go and thanks to check in at the office say hello and this is the campsite we are staying at in um just outside of Dinan uh in a little town called tedan on the outskirts of Dina and it is camping de la halaas International this is reception

Park up there before you come in come into to reception spoke perfect English no problems booking in at all it’s a barried car park so it’ll give you the code pop yourself through the campsite is terorist so you’ve got lots of level Terraces the pictures as you can see are

All a really really good size and you can have some them in the shade there’s lots and lots of trees for shade or you can pick a sunny pitch it’s up to you and we’re on this little row here and it’s very quiet and it’s very calm and it’s a really nice camper

Actually we’re quite impressed we like it and this is one of the uh very large very well equipped cemetry blocks and you’ll be pleased to know that the ladies and the gents are separate so through that door is the Gent Department sinks for washing your clothes yes we like

Those dishwashing sinks with hot and cold running water and this is the L’s block I’ll go into stealth mode because I don’t know if there’s anybody in here so sh well it currently sounds completely empty so I’ll give you a quick wcky ladies lose toilets lovely with toilet seats and

Toilet paper woohoo we’re all for that hand washing sinks with soap and a hand dryer thank you very Much and through here is the really big shower and sink area so let’s just pick up nice bright one so you can see there we go showers the sink the shower units are really big very spacious got seating area they’ve got sinks and showerheads not um changeable in terms of temperature but the

Temperature is Fine and there are separate sink cubicles there we go awesome not wrong with that perfect and it’s heated so it’s warm in there and it’s also got a really easy accessible chemical toilet disposal area which is always nice the campsite also has a games room

With a really very good pool table in it so ping pong stuff like that for the kids look there is a TV room and through here it has a really well equipped um workout room that I’ve just used actually so I’m nice and sweaty wooo but yeah everything in there you could

Want and it also has a very large outside swimming pool but it’s completely closed and all completely complely covered this time of year and has been since the end of uh September I think and this is us on our pitch just here the pitches are all of a really

Really generous size they’re all delineated by hedging there we are beautiful the pictures all have electricity water and a drainage point so fully service pictures and this campsite is actually Affiliated so this pitch um with the um closeness to denan and all the the facilities is costing was €17 a

Night bit of a bargain really after a very late lunch uh following our trip into denan this morning um the sun is still out so we are making the most of it and we’re going to head back onto the river cycle path and head the other way

And have a look won’t be very long just a quick wreck because we can why not while we’re here let’s go now let’s go the other way there seem’s here he’s such a cheater still cycling about in the sunshine in October glorious a fishing I know should have done shouldn’t

I I don’t have a fishing rod I had one once when we lived on the uh canal boat have no I think I used it like twice and decided I didn’t like to touch fish so I never used it again I think I caught one freaked out and it started

Flopping about I haven’t used one since oh there’s a nice little picnic spot lovely oh bit less paved now more what we oer oh and this is the port this is the next Port up look it’s a big Port Oh I thought it would be smaller than this it’s quite big po actually

  1. Hi both. This brings back happy memories of Summer 2019, when we stayed here with my son.
It's a nice, clean, mostly quiet site, even in high Summer, in a very civilised part of the world. There were no loud evening events when we stayed, but there is a nice shop for morning pastries and a restaurant with take-away pizza in high season.
It's a great base for exploring both Dinan and St Malo.
Looking forward to the Dinan video, which is one of Rick Steves favourite towns in Brittany…

  2. Hi guys we have stayed here a few times. lovely site. Because we have a VW like Ruby we sometimes stay in the small car park that you passed on your bikes . We had a couple of days there last September as we were touring Brittany. As you have discovered like us in France you can travel miles without seeing a soul. Hope you are both well xx
