T pachar winning Strat bian on day one of his 2024 season are we asking too much from the Slovenian Superstar we’re going to dive into strata bian but first let’s consider what’s ahead for him over the next few months pachar two-time winner of the tur of France will begin

His season at the one-day Italian Classic on Saturday the gravel race it’s the start of a season that sees him aiming at the J Italia and the tur of France for the overall Victory he said recently it’s going to be a long season including two grand Tours so new

Territory for me in that regard the 3-we Jed Italia is this may after that a month later starting at the end of June the tur of France running in July these are the two big events on pacha’s calendar the 2020 and 2021 tur of France winner finished runner up to yonas vinga

Go in the last two editions of the tur of France and for 2024 he wanted to mix things up a bit going first to the Jalia aiming to win the pink jersey lalia Rosa the UAE team Emirates Star Rider has been reconning certain stages of the J

Italia already so he can go there take on the race and hopefully for him clean house his biggest Rivals should be at this point we’re considering garrant Thomas of team inos Ben o Conor to cathlon ag2r and from Team visma Lisa bike Kean UT Brooks and Wilco Kerman

Remember they won the race last year with Primos RIT given his focus on the grand Tours are we expecting too much from T to show up in Sienna on Saturday and win Strate bian what are we looking at for Saturday on Strate bian while the race makeover sees Riders facing more

Kilometers there’s a new Final circuit repeated twice so now 15 sectors in total or 71 km of gravel in a race that stretches 25 kilomet the race is live and on demand for our viewers in Canada for everyone else I’ll be there on the ground delivering interviews and behind

The scenes coverage T pachar knows the area well around Sienna in 2022 his last time he raised he smashed his Rivals rode away solo and to victory in Sienna’s Pia Del compo he showed up the other day on the gravel sectors got some photos put him on Instagram his hair

With frosted white tips to match the gravel sectors his number one competitor for the day well that’ll be Tom pitock up team inos he’s super technical super skilled adapt to the gravel we don’t know if he has a new haird but he’s up for the challenge other Rivals to look

Out for WS Ben Healey Nelson Palace a team EF education easy post sep cus Kristoff leaport of Team visma Lisa bike mate Moro hitch of Team Baran Victorious and look out for Simon Yates of jco alula UAE team Emirates is bringing a power pack team not only

Pachar but on the roster they have Belgian Tim wellins who had a great opening weekend going head-to-head with Walt vanart on the cobbles finishing second place in Sunday’s Brussels Swiss Rider Mark Hershey who are has a victory in this 2024 season an upcoming Mexican Star winner of a stage

In the tour down under Isaac Goro and a weather update well the Tuscan gods are being kind to cycling because despite rain all week in the area Saturday looks to be good rain should be clearing sometime during the night on Friday and then on Saturday for the start of the

Race we should have partly cloudy skies the temperature well we’re looking at temperatures to range from 47° Fahrenheit up to 54 and for you Celsius fans 9° up to a maximum of 15 pachar will have done intensity training race simulation and everything possible to be ready but the truth is that he hasn’t

Lined up for an official race in four months since he won IL lombardia how are you going to approach this to the France I don’t know I just need to I need to prepare well and a lot of training on time trial because it’s two time Tri

Some long climbs some altitude and heat training and stuff like that just like always yeah I think I’m getting better every year a little bit just uh based on my feeling my numbers and just in general more experience so everything counts everything adds up a little bit

To be a little bit better his tour to France Rivals have eased into or easing into the season with Stage races yonas vingo raced last week in Spain time trialed on day one won and then in the following three stages won every day to take home the overall victory in gr

Camino not bad yonas REM Co evole began his season of walar arav won stage four and took home the overall victory in the five-day stage race Primos rockage has yet to begin a season with his new team Bora Hans gry and he’s doing so on Sunday at Perry nce pachar though is

Going the pachar route which is great news for US cycling fans in comparison in 2022 when he won Strat bian he came in with warm legs he had already raced in the UA tour the home country of his team sponsor and he won the race overall before showing up in

Sienna in 20123 he didn’t race Strat bian but he did begin a season with another gravel race over in Spain at the high-end periso and well good news for pachar good sign and for the pagy fans he won the race and one it solo on a rampage over the gravel roads

Crisscrossing and Lucia’s Olive Groves so who knows we may be expecting a lot and we may have our doubts but this is T pachar remember last year not only did he finish second in the tour to France he won the Tour Flanders he won the amdo

Gold race won flesh wone and at the end of the season won IL lombardia all in dominant style T pachar said regarding 2024 I’ve been patient and I’ve taken a bit of a slower approach to the year there will be big rivals but we’re

Racing for the win I mean if you ask me this in 10 years I would just say yeah I would just be happy to be in a world tour on the start of to the France but 10 years ago yeah yeah even seven or something but yeah from now if I yeah

After the career I would like to I would like to be War champ Champion as well uh now I I won a lot of races big ones yeah more or less all monuments that I can win I won the to the France two times and there’s three things that’s left for

Me is like Jiro wel time and World Championships and but it’s a it’s a dream and a challenge like concerned parents we need to keep an eye on T how he manages himself not only in Strate bian but the upcoming races after Strate bian he races Milano San Remo in 2 weeks

Time then he goes on to the Volta catalunia in Spain from there Li beston Le Ag and then the jro Italia in May both the Milano San Remo and the AG best only age one-day races are big targets for him he wants to add those monuments to his resume after that campaign we’ll

Sit down to discuss again how much fuel pachar has left in his tank to take on Vago ragit and Evan AOL at the 2024 tur of France a race that’s always priority number one even if the teams and the Riders say otherwise regardless buckle up because pachar is sure to put on a

Show for us this Saturday in the 2024 Strat bian

    1. I think we aren't listening to him. We are hearing but we aren't listening. We think the Tdf is the biggest race and that he should want to win it as many times as he can, but if we really listen, and hear him explain his thoughts on racing (not just in this interview but in several other interviews), he doesn't have that same desire to win the Tdf as many times as he can. We are creating a story that isn't there. He has other goals that he says he wants. At the end of the day, its his career, and we should believe him when he says what he wants it to be at the end, not what we want his career to be at the end.

    2. I think is too much ambition for Pogacar running 2 Grand Tours in 2024. If in the 2 previous years running only 1 Grand Tour, he collapsed in big climbs as Granon in 2022 and La Loze in 2023, this year will be harder for him to win Tour de France. Maybe could win the Giro.
