GIVERNY GUIDE, PART ONE.

Hello! If you are new here, Bienvenue. In this “Bloom in Paris” series, I am sharing Spring-inspired travel tips and recommendations.

In this four-part series, I share insider info to maximize your trip to Giverny and Monet’s famous house and stunning gardens @fondationmonet.

I have TWO full length videos I made during a recent trip where I had behind-the-scenes access to the entire house and gardens after hours – no tourists! You can find those tours on my YT channel ☺️

    PART ONE:

IN ADVANCE OF YOUR VISIT – Please pre-purchase your tickets to @fondationmonet online!

    ARRIVING AROUND 9 AM.
There is no direct train to Giverny. Instead, the train from Paris arrives in Vernon, a sweet town on the river Seine’s banks, about midway between Paris and Rouen.

I love scheduling my visits for Wednesday, as that is farmer’s market day in Vernon. I use the Trainline mobile app to book my tickets. See my train tutorial video also linked in bio. Taking the trains in France is an excellent and easy way to explore France. It’s hassle & stress-free, especially with my tips.

For those who want to go directly to Monet’s house and spend the entire day there, I don’t blame you. You can take a shuttle or taxi from the train station.

But if you’d like to make the experience more about both villages and the beautiful countryside ambiance of Normandy, consider renting an e-bike. It’s SO fun!

The Givernon Rental Shop offers online reservations and an easy check-in and check-out process with English-speaking team members. I highly suggest upgrading to an electric bicycle for this experience. I do not recommend this biking experience for beginners or those with young children.

Stay tuned for Part Two tomorrow!

This series is 💯 FREE! 🎉 Just tune in here from Monday to Friday for your daily dose of Parisian inspiration. 📆✨
