Welcome beyond the coverage I’m Chris Herer in today’s edition as promised from yesterday’s Edition I want to cover the preview for Perry n that’s starting on Sunday now we got remarkable Talent starting at Perry it’s going to be a spectacular eight stages of racing and

Stage three is going to be a team time trial so we know there’s a lot of drama that will come after stage three’s team time trial in terms of who’s wearing the race leaders jersey here at Perry n now before we get in deep into Primos Ro

Glitch and rim Co the pool that we know are the two time biggest favorites here and the highlighted two Riders 100% have to be the Slovenian and the Belgium kid because they’re both Grand Tour winners right and we’re starting the season here at Perry n this is really going to be

The start where nothing is quite watered down anymore now we have trino adriatico going on and Perry at the same time so of course you got a split field we’re missing Jonas Vino T pagach starting strata bian tomorrow on Saturday so won’t be doing either one of the big

Week-long opening season races here at the European pelaton but that doesn’t mean the field isn’t stacked on my list like I said outside of the two Riders Primos rogich and Rimco I got about a dozen riders that can win Perry n if those two Riders mess up now how can

They mess up well let’s look over at Bor hanso with Primos rogish first off he has Alexander vlassoff as his main right-hand Lieutenant here when you get into the mountains but outside of vlassoff you look at this team of seven there’s not a whole lot of time climbing

Talent there unless we’re looking at my old teammate Bob jles now Bob jles has gone top 10 at the Juro and he’s climbed spectacular he’s climbed really bad sometimes too but he’s won stages at the Tour of France Mountain stages at the tour to France so Bob jles could be that

Solid glue between the writers like Nico Dan and Danny Van Poppel where we’re going to see Bob jles do something special on on the penultimate climb or maybe even three climbs before the last climb and then vlasov has to do something special all the way up the

Last climb if Primos roget the Slovenian is in dominating form but remember there is a team time trial coming as I already mentioned on stage three but you got to get through the first two flat stages so why are you turning into Perry instead of trino Ado whether sprins Galore we

Got Dylan gragan here Tor of France stage winner mads Pon from Trek he is toor of France stage Sprint winner he is a fabulous force to be reckoned with and he’s already on flying form for Trek so we know stages one and two are going to be battles with the sprinters but will

The Crosswinds come into play when I first did Perry ni way back in the 9s with fdj it was raining and miserable and my feet were frozen one foot was frozen for 3 weeks I’m telling you I’m not even joking it was numb for almost three weeks for sure I had frostbite

After starting the first two stages at Perry and it was the coldest I had ever been in my life on a bike after I finished that stage that’s how bad the weather can be on the first stages when you’re up there in the center of France but they’re going to start slowly coming

Down south once we get to the team time trial what’s going to happen there well this is where the drama is going to start coming into play because when I look at UAE team Emirates Brandon mcnalty and Almeida both time trial Specialists Brandon mnti if he’s recovered from that UAE sickness that he

Had on the last day let me remind you on the individual time trial before that he’s clearly on form and being just a little sick might not affect your form when you get here to perin but who else do they got to battle against well Enos

Are here right Enos have Aon Bernal now remember when I covered tour of Columbia I said Enos what are you thinking sending Aon Bernal to Strat bian well they scratched them off a strata of bian so what does it mean here at Perry for aegon Bernal well it means they are

Already thinking about the Colombian chances of going to the tour to France and that’s why they took him off a strata bian so that they can keep Aon Bernal the Colombian riters form continuing to lift and lift and rise and Rise all the way up to July so we can

See enel with not one not two not three but four riders that can possibly put some stress on the other GC big-time favorites the best riders in the world rco Primos Tad Pacha and Jonas Vino these guys now with four guys from Enos if Aon bernal’s form can continue that’s

Why he’s here at Perry n and let me remind you guys he’s a past winner here at Perry n in 2019 that same season in 2019 he went on the win the Tour of France he won Tour of Swiss and he won pimonte a one day Race So aegon Bernal

Is Talent all talent and the only reason why we haven’t seen him is he’s had injuries after injuries after injuries for the last few seasons but now it looks like the columb Ian is going to hold the hopes of colia on his shoulders as we’re getting ready for July and

We’re start the real battle of the Season here at perin now what else is on tap well let’s go back and look at UAE team emirs again because they have a past perin winner here his name is Mark Solair Solair is here the solar ism is

Here so you got to tune in here over trino adriatico because Mark Solair is going to highlight every race he gets into with his drama of tactics he may win the overall classification here he may blow up he may pull his team away and have someone help help someone from

His team win or he might make it harder from someone from his team to win I don’t know what the sism is going to do but he’s here and it’s going to be exciting now other writers Davi Deo du from fdj he’s here but he hasn’t been on

Great form at the earlier Seasons where he’s raced but he’s got some top 20s but he was second here last year so you know fdj with go do they want to go big time here at Perry but there’s a host of talent just like I told you now when we

Look further at some of the talent Trek they have mad’s petson that I already mentioned but they got a GC Rider in skilos Mata skilos is here and that kid won Tour of Swiss last year so you know when you look at his interviews he is motivated to try bringing his level up

If R Co Evol and Primos Rog can’t hold the pelaton together here at Perry n look for a rider like skilos to go up the road with one of the UAE team Emirates number of riders cuz they got jayvine here all right I told you Solair

Brandon I told you alus here they got a list of riders because they got Felix gr sharder here he could get up the road too in fact the only person they brought out of the seven riders for UAE memores that can’t climb well of course that’s

The big guy Neil pette now Neil pette is going to be riding the front if they get someone in the race leaders jersey after the team time trial but I’m here to say tactically if you are in the race leaders yellow Jersey at Perry n after

The team time trial don’t even ride on stage four in the first Mountain Stage here at Perry make Rim coava pool or Primos R glitch if they lose the team time trial make one of their teams right on the front and keep all of your climbers from UAE team Emirates safe put

Them have them follow either border Hans grow or pseudo quickstep if they get someone in the break if not sit back there and tell those teams you want to win with Primos get on the front right I’m not going to get on the FR front and

Right if I’m UAE team EMS and I got a five six7 second Gap after the team time TR because right up here both Garrett and myself believe UAE memores will be in the hot seat after stage three’s team time TR if Brandon mcal on form that is

Then we think they’ll be in the lead by 7 seconds and if you’re only in the lead by 7 seconds I know you guys are sitting at home you’re thinking Chris if they were in the leader Jersey you have to you have to ride the front no you don’t

You you don’t have to ride the front the objective is to win the overall classification after stage eight on the cold the S so UA EMES have to keep all of their six good climbers here on the team as fresh as they can to get into

The last stages of seven and eight so that they can start some kind of tactical battle when the brakes are going up the road on those two important Mountain stages stage four is going to be important too I haven’t forgot it but we know stage seven and eight are

Absolutely big time because we saw Primos RIT a couple years back when he wanted Perry n he needed help help from the big guy W van art to come back and get him on cold de s in order to keep Yates under control and win the general

Classification now why did I bring up W vanart because I know a lot of you guys love Matthew Vanderpool and you left comments on my last video about how Chris Matthew Vanderpool is better than W vanard you guys are crazy that’s why you tune in I’m here to tell you guys

The fact right W van art is a game changer and he’s not here for Primos roog glitch so when we’re looking at Bor hrow and you look that they only brought Alex vas off here as the climber and maybe maybe of course they have the Luxenberg Rider there like I said if he

Can come out with some good climbing form Bob youngo that is then maybe they got a third guy but when I look at their list it’s not deep which means if Primos Rog does get himself in the race leaders jersey with Stage seven and eight still

To go here and your UA e mem with six solid climbers all within 30 seconds 1 minute of Primos Rog glitch and rogish doesn’t have much depth of climbers you can still win Perry n on stages seven and certainly on stage eight because we saw it almost happen before in the past

So right now when you’re looking at Pudo quickstep certainly with REM Co the pools the High favorite but again his team looks a whole lot like Bor hrow super super number one favorite with Rimco and Pros Rog glitch but remco’s looking he’s got there with Ian vanen Wilder that’s his climbing talent and

Veri verak is good there’s no doubt about it he’ll get into the close to the last climb if not slightly up the last climb but then he’s not going to be there when we get far up that last climb so Rimco is going to possibly be without

Any help Primos rogl could be without any help if lass off has to ride early which again leaves the door open for UA e members it’s going to be an exciting finish three pass winers Primos roget Mark Solair is there as a pass winner in

2018 and 2019 like I said Aon Bernal all of these teams are stacked and Enos along with aegon Bernal they got Carlos Rodriguez right that Spaniard is something fantastic when he’s on form and he’s going to want to start shining right now so keep an eye out on inos

Certainly UAE team imer is right there Bor Hans gr we know Pros RO sudall quickstep with Rimco Evol is stacked and track we got to keep an eye out for Tre cuz skilos is on flying form in the early part of the 2024 season and guys there’s one team I haven’t even

Mentioned viz M Lisa bike Jorgenson Mato Jorgenson looked fantastic up at the Belgium Classics but those are one-day races but he can ride GC in these weekl long races too and it looks like his form has gone up for the American because viz molisa bike seems to make

Everybody a better Rider so viz molisa bikes Matel Jorgenson you got to keep at least a slight eye on on the American there and his teammate Wilco kelderman stacked field here at Perry starting on here on Sunday’s race we know it’s going to be spectacular like And subscribe

I’ll see you for the butterfly effect on Sunday stage one of Perry n but I’ll see you tomorrow for strata bian where Tad pagota hopefully all that motor Pac and he’s been doing and everything he’s been showing with his power meter is going to pay off for strata bian and he’ll

Highlight a big time entry win here to the 2024 season because we know rco’s winning yonis Vino’s winning TD pachar he normally starts the season with the wind so I’ll see you there for the butterfly effect and again on Sunday for Perry stage one like And subscribe I’ll see you real soon

    1. i'm taking remco as my no1 favourite. this time of the season roglic seems to have 1 (not bad but lesser) day in which he has a wobble. Van Aert came to the rescue a couple of times, but Van Aert ain't there this time around. I'm biased though, wanting a remco victory. Roglic is admittedly the slightly safer choice given past history.

    2. Chris and Garrett , I know it's not an interview show, but if you guys could get Soler or our man Victor on, that would be awesome. Cheers, you've got me fired up.

    3. Well in one aspect Tirreno-Adriatico will always surpass Paris-Nice; and that is the race trophy.

Unless you end up second and get a cheese plate/board instead of the mighty 🔱 🤪

    4. In this TTT it is not the time of the fourth entry that counts, as is usual, but that each rider gets his own time. A leader who still has some energy left in the last kilometer(s) and pulls away from his teammates can gain some extra seconds.

    5. The 2024 season really starts this weekend and the Paris Nice is looking very competitive and with Strade and Tirreno Adriatico all the top guys will be in action over the next week. Lucky for us we have the best on the job. Facts “WvA is a game changer”. Yep Chris is the best even though he has Wout at no5 on the butterfly effect when to me he is the no1 most exciting rider, yes yes stage 6 TDF 2022 and all that. Anyway exciting times let’s hope Egan comes back on form, I think we can deduce that team Ineos watch this channel possibly keeping an eye on Chris’s apprentice Garrett 👍

    6. Being cold on a bike is the worst… I think from the combination of being sweaty and constant windchill. It definitely takes a while after the ride to get over the chills and shivers and bring your core temp back up.

    7. MDVP is a better one day racer by a pretty decent margin. Wot is a much better helper. Wot is a supporter who can win, MDVP is a winner who can support in specific spots.

    8. Wout is better than Mathieu… you gotta dig a little to see it but I think it's true. I mean, I'm bedazzled by Mathieu's many wins, but they're one-day wins in offroad events. Wout is competitive in these same races, however you can't say the same for Mathieu in multi-day road races. Mathieu is not in Wout's league here.

    9. that is. now i am hyped after the strade de bianche and this paris-nice preview! let the season begin. with primoz, egan, remco, almeida, mcnulty and all the sprinters it looks like a fun one. thanks for doing this preview and pointing out what to watch out for.

    10. Oh man, just thinking about the TDF with the Jonas, Pogi, Primos, and Remco PLUS Bernal oooooh man this is going to be a great year of cycling I think

    11. Chris- you are a remarkable cycling commentator. You should be the primary TdF commentator. Someday I’d like you to do a show on the greats of the 50s, 60’s and 70’s

    12. Great preview Chris. Feeling your energy from the east coast. Gonna be a great season in 2024 with lots of strong known names and other emerging riders.

    13. It's going to be epic. Knowing that Primoz and Remco are eager to beat each other. Showing whose the best. No love between those 2 riders. Other teams could take advantage of it, for sure.

    14. Roglic and Evenepoel have yet another showdown, the battle between the youngster and the battle hardened and experienced older rider has been going on for the last 3 years.
