Nina und Mirco sprachen: Es werde Licht – und es wurde hell in Monaco. In minutiöser Kleinstarbeit wurden Zehntausende LEDs in ganz Monaco eingesetzt, die nun endlich alle angeschlossen werden konnten und ein atemberaubendes Bild ergeben. Vom Fürstenpalast über das Café de Paris bis hin zur Rennstrecke erstrahlt der Stadtstaat an der Côte d’Azur in hellem Glanz. Viel Spaß beim Anschauen und genießt die harmonellvollen Bilder ❤️

Das Miniatur Wunderland ist die größte Modelleisenbahnanlage der Welt und Hamburgs Touristenattraktion Nr. 1. Schon mehr als 20 Millionen Besucher aus allen Teilen der Welt haben sich in der Hamburger Speicherstadt eine Miniaturwelt der Superlative angeschaut. Auf 1.610 m² ist in über 1.000.000 Arbeitsstunden ein einmaliges Miniatur-Meisterwerk entstanden – und es wächst immer weiter. Es besticht neben ausgefeilter Technik vor allem durch Detailreichtum. Über 289.000 Figuren wurden liebevoll in Szene gesetzt, Autos und Schiffe bewegen sich durch die Landschaften, und sogar Flugzeuge starten am Knuffingen Airport im Minutentakt. Das Wunderland ist ein atemberaubender Miniatur-Kosmos, den es so nirgendwo anders auf der Welt zu sehen gibt. Und dieser Kosmos wächst immer weiter. Mit der Eröffnung von Patagonien wuchs die große Südamerika-Welt um weitere 65m². In den folgenden Jahren werden der Regenwald, Teile von Mittelamerika sowie die Karibik folgen. Aber auch auf dem europäischen Kontinent wird weiter fleißig gebaut. Der Zwergstaat Monaco und die idyllische Provence sind bereits in der Entstehung und sollen Anfang 2024 eröffnet werden.

Up in different colours on different days. It lights up green on St Patrick’s Day. Or it lights up colourfully at Christmas. And this allows us to add a few colour accents to the harmonious lighting. Another major colour accent in Monaco is the Formula 1 racetrack.

As there are no real night races, but we want to race at night, we have placed around 100 floodlights with four LEDs each along the track. The pit lane is also illuminated so that we can see everything and the cameras can capture everything well at night. We built various prototypes for the floodlights

To test the light colour and brightness. In the end, we opted for a neutral white light. This allows us to illuminate the race track in the best possible way without illuminating the other buildings. In the last Monaco update you saw how Steffi and Tino set the yachts.

They form the end at the edge of the system. They also form an additional contrast with the colourful lights and party scenes. And the people are watching the Formula 1 races. Behind me is Monte Carlo, which is known for its beautiful and pompous buildings.

This also includes the casino, which is very famous in Monaco. Also the Hotel de Paris, which has super nice outdoor lighting. At night, it switches on gradually and the external façade is dimmed up. This is how it really comes into its own. The Café de Paris is just like that, it has beautiful

Outdoor lighting with lots of spotlights and plug-in lamps. They also produce a beautiful, warm white, harmonious picture later on. So in addition to Formula 1 and the rest of the facility, we can also show a few large buildings with really beautiful facades and exterior lighting.

The most elaborate building in terms of lighting is the yacht club. You can see it just behind me, it is illuminated on four different levels with approx. 5000 LEDs. Joris worked on it for almost six months. We are finished with the lighting, we just have to connect two or three yachts.

Otherwise, we are very satisfied with the result. We are proud of what how it turned out. As it’s almost 8 o’clock, it should be light soon so that we can show you the push buttons. I said that it should be light soon! The focus in Monaco is on Formula 1.

Our push buttons are therefore a little off-centre. For example, Moritz has built a hippopotamus here that opens and closes its mouth. Henning has built construction site cranes that rotate. And Stefan built a Segway race on the forecourt of the Prince’s Palace. Nina can start it for you now.

I switch on the hippo first. The next stop at the edge of the layout is the Oceanographic Museum. As soon as you press the button, the house façade opens. Then you can take a look inside and see lots of interesting things from the marine world. These include whale skeletons, but also aquariums
