Exploring GranFondos in France | Amateur Race L’Etape Sanfloraine

Amateur racing in France is on another level…
With 941 participants in 2023, the #Sanfloraine recorded a new record. In the Long Course of 160km 3000m of elevation were around 200 participants. Amazing course, a lot of powerful riders – if you dropped – you can ride in your own tempo and enjoy beautiful landscapes. Really recommend you to ride in this area and take a part in this race in 2024 Year.

5 hours of struggling hello guys and welcome back to my  channel uh today I want to talk with you about   my 2023 season in France where I took part in  few amateur races like Grand fondos this race  

Called L’Etape Sanfloraine on the start it was  around 200 guys you can see for this almost 5   hours of racing it was almost 3.5 wats per kilo  average power level of race amateur racing in  

France is very high so if you want to be on  the podum you should be a very good climber   and also good descender and you should take your  risks the start of the race was not hard everyone  

Was trying to uh wake up because it was early  morning as I remember it was around 8:00 maybe   so the first kilometers were really easy and  everyone was waiting for the first climbs for   me climbing is not hard but the problem is des  sense because I’m not very professional and I  

Don’t want to take big risks and some guys really  smashing down on the high speed and overtook me on   every corner after Maybe 30 km they tried to  go into the Breakaway with some guy on small  

Climb maybe we have one minute Gap uh but then on  the downhill the group just catched us and again   everyone was in the back then on the 60 km point  it was start of the main climb and everyone just  

Took their temper for for me it was around 300  watts that was a point where the race actually   started who is stronger he just go into the front  and make the big gap that’s all after this climb  

For me it was like a solar race around I don’t  know around 50 km I was alone it was flat part   of the cars and I tried to be as ER as possible  but you know if you’re in the even in small group  

You you will do this faster so in the end it was  a climb to the Finish I try to empty my pockets   and just go as hard as possible but the legs  were empty and few guys overtook me and I had  

19’s place out of 200 this area was really nice  and you can really discol the region fantastic   penams if you are not pushing hard and don’t have  a sweat in your eyes uh so you can see really  

Nice pictures and the atmosphere of the race was  really good and I can say that the safety also was   perfect because there was a lot of uh motor  help uh and the roads was completely closed  

So no cars and you can really enjoy the full  experience of the racing and what else can I say in the end you have a really good healthy  and hot meal uh area where you can take some   uh post massage uh and clean your bike enjoy  the atmosphere with other cyclists who Take  

A Part in this race race so technically  if you live in France and want to enjoy   good Event cing Event um visit atab centr FL  rain in this year there are smaller versions   of this route so even guys who are not so  strong or just want to enjoy cycling in the  

Racing atmosphere they can choose a any other  the routs which they propose it can be like   50 km s or something like this but if you are  racer like me you want to do the full distance   so check out the website of the Le hson flin  register and enjoy the cycling events here
