You don't need a gun, just common sense. Why would you want to shoot that bear? You are in his domain. Only an idiot redneck would shoot that bear. Besides, the moron in the tent left his cooler so he deserves a visit from a bear. What does he expect?!?

So one of the reasons why this bear came into yoyr campsite . Is pay attention as he opens the door What is beside the door A cooler . Now lets say the cooler is empty . The bear can still smell what was once inside the cooler unsealed from days ago .
Now lets talk personal hygene . No deoderants no chapsticks no scented candales and not anything that smells sweet in your camp .
Keep all of thar stuff 200 yrds at least.
I also noticed the griz was just in smell mode well till you opened the door but regardless at this point snell brought him to your position all the bear wants is food thats what they smell out .
Another tip no camping near dead carcus even bones . Even your clothes detergent can attract a bear even a shark if your in water .
By the way the bear was acting i dont think an attack come from this but i bet this person s#it them self .
People cant stress this enough ykur in the woods its not your home your in woldlife so act like it or die.
Black bears can smell your chapstick a mile away a grizz can for up to 2 miles . So that peach flavored chapstick is just a seranade for the cource the bear will eat alive if its a black bear .
Blavk bears attack to eat grizz attacks to kill and eat later .. Black bears will eat you alive .
Even can use these tips around your home depends where you live .
One more tip . Did you know a bear can smell what you last eaten if its been under 8 hours ? So drinking milk or fruit juice at home before going camping can put you in danger .
