WALT DISNEY’S inspiration? | French Alps NORTH motorcycle tour Ride 2 | Annecy

With this ride 2 of our French Alps NORTH motorcycle tour we will be circling around Lac d’Annecy almost in its entirety, but first we’re heading West to go to another lake: Lac du Bourget. The ride is 195 km /121 miles, of course with some nice stops for coffee, lunch and views. We did this ride together with friends who were touring in the area as well……in case you wonder why there is a third bike and another couple around 😉

So is this Walt Disney’s inspiration? Welcome to another QUAZY RIDE and in this video we are taking you on our   ride 2 of the French Alps North. And today  we will be making a big circle around Lac d’Annecy. Well not following the lake but  discovering the area around the lake and  

We are going to uh another lake first Lac du Bourget and uh  the ride is around 195 km 120ish miles.   And of course we have added some really nice stops  for coffee, lunch and some views. I lost Johan….. Already starting off pretty good. So let’s go QUAZY!

At this point in the ride we did hit the Lac  du Bourget and we did stop to tell you something   about this lake, but my microphone wasn’t  plugged in. What we wanted to tell you is   that this is the largest natural glacial lake  in France and because of its location at the  

Lake Aix-les-Bains where we are going for coffee  is also known as the Riviera des Alps.   And of course we added a good parking at the Grand Port so you can have coffee in Aix-les-Bains as well.  

And we are going to Aix-les-Bains to pick up our dear friends  who were touring in the area as well. So of to Aix-les-Bains. For our lunch stop in this ride we  have added a stop in what is called Bout du Lac 

Which means the end of the lake because  we are at the far South side of the lake   and Annecy is situated at the far North side  of the lake. And um we should be able to  

Get some lunch right at the border  of the lake. At I think it’s called Le Cadre. Let’s see if we can get there. Well that was really nice and gave us a well real beach feel that lunch. But if that is closed  

On I think Mondays and Tuesdays there are some  other restaurants near, one at the campsite. But for now we still have some more really nice  riding to do because we’re going to go East of the Lac d’Annecy into those mountains that you  can see from across the lake um and although  

This is not the highest part of the French  Alps we will be doing an official Mountain pass. Because this is the Col de L’Épine. Well that was a really nice ride through  those mountains and we should be hitting  

Lac Annecy again soon and getting views on  the lake but first look at this view that’s Chateau Menthon. This Chateau de Menthon is called a rough diamond and  architectural jewel of the Haute Savoie. And on its   website it says that they do eagle shows but also  that this castle was Walt Disney’s inspiration  

For its famous Sleeping Beauty Castle. But that’s  also claimed by Schloss Neuschwanstein, which is in   our German Alps tour. And we will share the link of  that playlist as well. We will also share the link

Well although these rides around the Lac Annecy didn’t go up to the heights that you can go   up to in the French Alps, we really enjoyed  exploring this part of the French Alps, the   North part. And um as you can see we’re almost  back in Annecy. And if you would like some
