This time I start from the center of Øyer and cycle towards Lillehammer. On the right-hand side you can see Lekeland, and right after I pass Lilleputthammer. Perfect for children of all ages. I pass Hafjell alpine slope on the right. Hunderfossen dam and Hunderfossen power plant

Gudbrandsdalslågen is dammed at the waterfall and the water is used in the Hunderfossen power station. The power plant makes use of a 47 meter drop in the waterfall. This road I cycle towards Lillehammer is very popular for roller skiing and cycling training.

Continuing towards Fåberg, this road I’m cycling on now doesn’t look like this anymore. As the new E6 is under construction and there will eventually be a new cycle path towards Lillehammer. Lillehammer has done a lot to create safe cycle paths.

The cycle paths are widely used for training both with roller skiing, cycling and not least running. Passing on the right the Håkonshallen which was used during the Olympics in Lillehammer in 1994. The Olympic Park from 1994, here we see the Lysgårdsbakkene which was used for Ski jumping during the Olympics in Lillehammer

Birkebeineren Hotel and apartments. Lillehammer Hospital. Pedestrian street in Lillehammer city center Lillehammer train station and bus station. From Lillehammer, there is a train every hour towards Drammen, which stops at both Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Oslo Central Station.

In addition, you can also travel north in Norway to Trondheim. This train also runs several times a day. If you want to travel, I recommend the ENTUR app for route planning. There is a large parking space at the train station. Vingnes bridge, which crosses Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake.

This is the old bridge which is no longer used by car traffic. Only for pedestrians and cyclists as well as tractors and mopeds. Lillehammer boat association. In Lillehammer there is a very nice small boat harbour. Cycling back over the Vingnes bridge Strand promenade in Lillehammer

The Strand promenade is great to cycle on and take walks along. Beautiful nature and a rich bird life. Cycling under the E6 bridge. The E6 is the motorway that runs from Southern Norway to Northern Norway.

On the trip back to the center of Øyer, I cycle down towards Jørstadmoen and take the back road. The Swix store in Lillehammer has a very good selection of training clothes and leisure clothes.

Passes the bobsleigh and toboggan run that was used during the Olympics in Lillehammer in 1994. It is still in use. To the right, the road goes down to Hunderfossen family park Norwegian Road Museum and Norwegian Vehicle History Museum. You can see it in one of my other YouTube films
