Road Tripping On The New Canyon Spectral

Days of a trail by fun how’s that sound amazing looking forward to it but day one we’ll go to East Ridge sort of an inero ride I think I like some Trails out we haven’t R there before cuz I haven’t been there for years I haven’t been there for no

Bring on East Ridge well first day I suppose I’ve thought about myself and we’re heading out for a proper ride at Eastridge my home trails and it’s running great at the moment so hopefully the guys are ready for some single track Tech I Oh I got a biggest stick in my mik oh my gosh look what my look all the way from the top that how the heck did that get there that was from the top I was like oh no don’t go my Mac first it was locy Goosey glad that didn’t go my Mech

That’s a hell of a trail he was zipping down there oh hell of a trail with the first Trail done let’s take a look at the canyon spectrals we’re riding who and what are they for Canyon say the new spectral is prime for trail riding and Epic Adventures local Loops oh goofing

Around woo Trail boik has to be far and confident on the S whilst efficient enough to munch the miles and the meters back up in the past the spectral has muddied the water between Trail uro and even free ride it has been raced at uro World Cups

And Street jibs by Canyon pro riders but this brand new spectal is refocused on being an out andout trail bike flap and state of that last trail was incredible did get a stick stuck on my uh bottom there but all right in your botom yeah down there I was going to rip

My Mech off it’s beeny tough going here is it we haven’t gone very far but uh all the even the flat is really hard work here so um the the distance doesn’t sort of tick up very well but you got to do 1 th000 M of climbing to make it a

Towing the guys into some of my favorite trails they aren’t exactly hard to ride but they’re challenged to ride fast and with flow the perfect place to put a trail bike through its Paces a couple of refreshing drinks were enjoyed but it was an early night all around because

Rich fancy get in quite a few miles under the belt the next day see fancy going big today there rich I do want to go exploring now so I think what we’ll do is we’ll head Southwest towards uh Church thre in the long wind it’s pretty epic they call that place Little

Hear us we are having fun I promise bikes are going well though talking about the bikes what’s new the new Canyon spectral has an all new carbon frame with 140 mm of rear travel and a 150 Fork it’s got a 64° head angle and a 76 . 5° seat angle it comes with

Internal storage inside the frame and a stash bag Canyons keep it stable is on all models this is their adjustable steering stabilizer developed by Cintas and designed to create a centering effect with internal spring mechanism attached to the top tube and the fork steerer it’s removable and you can blank

The top tube if it doesn’t suit you the spectral is rated category 4 on the strength rating so that’s in the same class as their uro bike the strive CFR it comes in all wheel size options mixed wheel size full 29 and even a few 27.5

Options on the 29er models you can use the chain stay flip chip to decide if you want to change the wheel size later and run it as a mixed wheel Size Oh God All right so we’re heading uh in to get some lunch I’m starving hungry Rich can you see the road we’re going up over there that looks absolutely filthy was that line over there that gray like little ribbon of tarmac is it’s actually easier than padding up the off-road

Route it’s tarmac but it’s pretty severe we’re into a headwind Neil it might be sheltered though I feel we’re going so slow it’s not going to make a difference I tell you what is Victoria at the bottom of that she got sponge has she got sponge cuz I need a Victoria sponging me

Head to what goes up must come down eventually I hope eventually A that was horrible I wouldn’t recommend it I wouldn’t recommend ping into a wind don’t do it stay in school and my coat’s broke and your coat is broken jelly TOS climb is absolutely hideous but lucky boys we’ve got a gentle little roll L into the Pub Day two complete with another 25 km and 800 M of climbing in the legs I can tell you it felt way more than that we were feeling it or at least me and Blake were so the plan for the final day was to keep the efforts mellow and have some

Fun it’s a Blake fancy some jumps and we headed over to a place that I used to ride like well over 20 years ago around this part of the West Midlands a really good beer Max Trail scene dirt jumps but now it’s it’s become legit this is at burish Bike Park My inner teen is coming out Neil teen yeah Team Wolf Teen we’re at the dirt jumps it’s fun there it’s been a long time since I’ve actually session jumped so a long time a long time get some stunted on the guy go man do some I don’t know do something watch This at burish we had some local knowledge to help show us the trails this is f Williams he’s the 14-year-old four cross National Champion his parents volunteer to help run the place and he is the young volunteer team leader who helps maintain the jumps so we got dirt

Jumps over there but also there a little slem track you have a race hey this is right up my alley let’s have a Groove should we get on there oh and We I don’t want it’s been really cool to come back to burish bike park and ride again and see it being successfully run by local charity it definitely won’t be another 20 years before my next visit I’ll be coming back much sooner plus it’s been a great few days riding the brand new
