I give it all that I got will never stop I give it all straight to thep never I give it all all that I have I let it be cuz nobody’s better than me what do you see give it all yeah all that I got I give it everything they lost the plot

They think I’m mening they want to but circle is tight feeling like all right guys so welcome to another day in paradise it’s gra SK but it’s 15° and we’re in the middle of winter here in England so can’t complain first uh or second ride should I say on the TT bike

First one was yesterday this is uh since October it had been in the bike box for a very long period of time I couldn’t face the look at it um but now got got it all assembled so we’ got brand new front end as you can see I showed it in

One of the other previous videos when uh it arrived in the post so I tried that out yesterday feels um comfortable um might be some tinkering that we do with the bike because I’m actually heading to the wind tunnel as well tomorrow that was one of the reasons for being in a

Hurry to get the bike built up and sorted so um hopefully tweak the position a bit tweak the equipment and uh find a few more watts um always in the pursuit to find more watts cuz uh it seems like nowadays you need to find a couple each year just to stop yourself

From going backwards let alone go forwards against your competitors um so yeah give that give that a crack tomorrow today though going to do a few little efforts yesterday was a just to get to get used to it get to familiar and it felt really good actually it felt

Like I hadn’t not been riding it at all so um massive positive today I’m going to head up to the north Nori Coast going to ride along the coast for a bit head to a cafe and Hal for a quick one and then uh a little bit of an effort back

To to Norwich total ride will be about 115 120 km hopefully 3 hours 10 something like that um do a couple of longer efforts 20 30 minute efforts and um we’ll see how I feel in position see what the speed see what the power’s like and um yeah Target will probably be

Around 320 Watts something like that nothing groundbreaking but just getting used to the reasonable power in the position and uh yes power has been pretty decent on my gravel bike that I had been using so um doesn’t seem any reason why it shouldn’t be on here as

Long as the legs hold up and play play ball basically the garments just wriggled free on here cuz of the bumps uh so I need to sort that out definitely a better bolt to hold that in place because uh not what you want to have happen to you in a rasal training but

It’s where you Tred all this stuff and training but got the backup option of my uh watch to uh see the data so we’ve got a makeshift bike computer now the watch has been subbed up it’s all about the data come yet it’s like the toris in the

Hair isn’t it like I keep going up up off ah head like the hair stopping because of mechanical stuff and John’s just slowly battling away like nothing exciting nothing over the top but over the course of the day he will get ahead he will come through he’s like a

He’s a Steady B isn’t he like if you at the horse races he would probably be you like 10 to1 horse it’s not exciting like a 2 to1 it’s not a great bet like a 100 to1 where it could or 500 to one where it could change your life it’s just a

Steady 10 to one you know it’s going to be there or thereabouts it won’t win many it might come top three quite often so you can put an each way bet on and win some money but you know it’s going to be consistent whereas you’d say I’m

More like a 500 to one you know 100 to one like might not might not show up but when it does it’s spectacular and it changes lives so I finished the first uh effort now and just cruising along to the coast where we’ll do another little

One all that I got will never stop I give it all straight to the top we never FL I give it all how far behind are the others what the gap on him give it all that I have I Let It Be CU nobody’s me what do you see give

It uh wipe your mouth what if I got something on me where what is it I had a bird on my head as well did you see the picture yeah that I sent him can I have your I felt something hit me in the head oops and I thought it was uh I

Thought it was someone throwing something at me or something cuz I went under a tree I thought it was like either something falling off the tree or someone throwing something at me and then when I met up with John I stopped and he went oh you got all on your head I said

What I said I don’t know where that was I thought it was someone throw a kid throwing something at me um yeah basically I’d just say that it was absolutely amazing being on that bike for like having not rode it for so long and being ring away on the gravel

Bike struggling to ride 30 km an hour at best 31k an hour on a ride even when I’m doing efforts to I’m averaging over 40 km an hour so far today and it feels not that hard the efforts have just been like Tempo and it is awesome like you’re

Just flying through the country lanes hitting the corners so much quicker it’s a great feeling going back on the TT bike having not rode it for so long just because you just don’t get that speed on the gravel bike like when I’m riding on the gravel bike it’s great training

Because everything’s so much harder work but you don’t get the thrill of hitting the corners so fast and like flying along on the on the the normal roads whereas on the TT bike you know 50 k an hour 60 K an hour sometimes 40 most of the time it’s the completely different

Ball game so it’s been really good fun today a it’s a shame John’s had problems with his bike and he’s gone home but yeah just at the calf now have uh have a drink Arabella is going to get some food and then uh one last effort back to

Norwich and then uh chill out win tunnel tomorrow and then win tunnel tomorrow to get even faster so I’m going 70k an hour instead of 60 so I just wanted to show you the saddle I’ve been using this is a wo saddle um I’ve got mine direct Mount

Onto the seat post as you can see there’s no metal for it to attach to it just attaches straight onto the seat post um and you can move it forwards backwards on there and change the angle so it’s really neat uh lighter as well I

Think it saves about 300 G but the main thing about the saddle is it’s just so comfortable like um it’s similar to the ism ones that you could get which I used to use but it’s a lot lighter it’s about 200 g lighter in the saddle itself a lot

More com it is quite expensive at the moment although they are looking to make them manufacture them cheaper so they can get them out at a more reasonable price I think at the moment it cost about £400 but if you’re looking for a top end saddle that is Mega comfortable

Very light and uh basically the best saddle you can get in the world check out wo because uh you will not be let down by them you’ll be extremely impressed by it all right so I just got back from the ride and uh I’d love to tell you exactly what power numbers I

Had but unfortunately uh my head unit came loose so I used my watch and I’m not sure if it was a problem with the par meter cuz I’ve hard to used this bike although it was fine yesterday um or if it was uh because I was using my

Watch so end up having to go pretty much by feel I just had a quick look at the data just now but it’s it’s not accurate at all like and when I was looking at it a few times when I was riding I could see it dropping out and going to zero

And then going back up and then going to zero it’s very frustrating um P me is part of the same family as uh Shram um and that got me thinking when I was um cycling Hur back like what what would I how would I describe Shram to someone

Who’s into cycling or someone who’s not necessarily into cycling and compare it to what shimano’s like because everyone talks don’t know what’s better Shimano or Shram and as I was riding along it got me thinking if you were a lawyer and uh you had a personal assistant and one

Of them was called sham one of them was called Shimano the one that was called tram would be it’d be the guy who you’d go out with for a pint he’s a lovely guy you know you you’d go out you’d watch the football with him you’d go downtown you wouldn’t necessarily want him

Working for you if he was working for you and you were at home You’ finished a big day at work you’ve got a big court case the next day shr’s in the office he’s sorting out all your uh your your work that you need to take into court

The next day he’s going through all the files and what does Shram do Shram puts the wrong files into the into the uh lot that you’re meant to be going into court with into the folder so you turn up into in court the next day and uh long and

Behold you’ve got the wrong Court files Shram is good as he means as well as he means he just up time and time again and you will get caught out unfortunately that is Shram Al with a mechanical issue sh shanu on the other hand he keeps himself to himself you might

Not necessarily want to go out for a P with him you probably won’t socialize with him outside of work but Shamano will go above and beyond he will get your CT files for you sorted he will highlight certain things that could come up handy in court the next day he will

Make sure you don’t up and that he does his best to make sure you pass and that is how I would com compare Shimano and Shram give Shram the easy jobs like a one buy and just tell him operate the back gears he’ll probably sort that out

Give him a two buy and you’ll be trust me Shamano on the other hand he’ll go he’ll do everything you won’t go out for a P with him but he’ll sort out all your stuff and uh you you won’t have Mechanicals you won’t have issues and you won’t have the wrong files when

You’re in court for the big case that you needed a

    1. Hahaha. I had a huge bird unload on me from up in a tree too not long ago. I even saw the big gloopy thing as it approached, in my peripheral vision, but had no time to avoid getting splattered. Adds unknown minerals into he equation as well as a bit of extra cleaning when you get home.

    2. SRAM good for 1x is optimistic! All mine was good for in my last race was 1 single gear and 20 minutes on the road side. New Blipbox or complete groupset change to Shimano is my quandary.

    3. Shimano power meters are not the Shimano you describe here, in their current iteration. I know how important data is and if you were using a shimano power meter, your shimano assistant would be putting random pages in to the file for tomorrow's court case. Shimano shifters – no problems, PM? NO way.

    4. "SRAM, as good as he means, he just f**ks up, time and time again." The delivery of that line had me absolutely laughing my head off, belter!

    5. So the bike at the end is slightly different than the bike in the vid. Looks deeper rims . Maybe if I drafted Joe I could keep up on this session. But that takes a lot of concentration.

    6. Had a similar bird shit experience. Went under a tree and thought something had fallen out of the tree onto me. At the coffee stop the Barista was looking at me strangely. Only realised when I took my helmet off I was covered in bird shit. Full Sunday morning clear out all over me. 😂
