Lauf invited us out to try Iceland’s hardest gravel race, the Rift. A 200 kilometer epic ride across lava fields and between active volcanoes. The only thing is, Ollie has never tried gravel before and is allergic to river crossings….

    In association with Lauf.

    1. "What's a plug" lol
Who knew watching a guy ride a bike would be entertaining but I keep watching, you guys make the best videos bike related by far

    2. It's amazing how entertaining and informative GCN videos are. Love these events but you all manage to make even pure informative videos interesting to listen to. Well done too all involved.

    3. 05:39 Very dumb place for putting slot in the frame and putting seat clamp. Why? All dirt/ water goes into it… It should be inverted. It is sad how bicycle designers are dumb. If You want to keep that (dumb) orientation then please use mudgaurds. For God's sake…

    4. Don't even own a bike and have found myself addicted to these episodes!
I'm now sniffing about hybrids but cos of coronavirus there is zero stock anywhere, so now seriously tempted to just buy the components and build my own.

    5. Wait so all these "high specs and designs" being light, able to climb hills, etc. top of the line bike technology + all the trainings and gears, etc. and they still push their bikes uphill that isn't that steep? *MIND BLOWN. 😳

    6. @gcn what is your verdict about the bike after 'the rift' ? How did it perform, was the suspension comfortable, etc. Now I know that you guys have another video on the Lauf True Grit, but I don't think you have tested it as thoroughly as here.

    7. Just started gravel biking. This one right presented an absolut dream of a gravel race. Rough, cold, wet, epic landscape. Thank you – will book in 2021! Thank you Ollie and GCN.

    8. Right above the crank set seems like the worst place to have a bottle opener, especially considering how much you sudsed it, but damn do I want one now.

    9. Come on ollie, at the end you make it seem like having a bottle opener on your bike is such a is such a big deal. My bike came with one as standard and it's 4 years old already.

    10. Finally, an event that would be within the range of normal human beings, this actually looked doable, if that is in fact a real word! Thanks GCN, brilliant as always

    11. Love Iceland and bet that was an ace ride however I'm sorry to say but I think you do a little to much nonsense chat & pretending to be crap, don't become a top gear style presenter it's a little cringy at times. I like gcn you are generally good bunch to watch. Sorry for being a tad negative 😬✌️

    12. Oliver is a surprisingly good television host and I for one am pleased he is wasting his talents on cycling material. Also I even understood the obvious British humor which I don't always since I'm a yankee. And that landscape!

    13. 16:29 When you crack open the bear, it's weird that reverse-play-edit of the background Happy Birthday noise. Sounds like you used the lav mic of Ollie's voice separated from doctored background audio.

    14. Great video, Oli is so engaging. Brilliant advert for the Lauf and Iceland (it is a special place) but by far the best bit Doncaster and Iceland are the same 😂
