I’ve seen guys that yeah all of a sudden they turn 40 and they go crazy you know they tattoos and they go by harley or or whatever but it might be because it’s just that time of their life that they can afford to do stuff well the rebels mcmalta were motorcycle

Clubs at mc club originally our clubs was established uh 1969 in australia by alex bella you know and then over the years it grew all through australia and now it’s we’ve grown worldwide as well you know and we’re just a bunch of guys like a brotherhood that we’re really into our motorcycles and

And having friends you know but then it gets a little bit more intense in the sense that we we treat each other with a lot of respect and loyalty and we’re like brothers uh well i don’t live in australia you know i i’m here in uh with the rebels mcmalta

So it’s hard to save it’s the image of the outlaw motorcycle guy i guess and uh we’re easy targets as well you know easily identified you know because there’s a lot more people and stuff that are doing bad things that they don’t really discuss or speak about

I guess once this club starts to grow as well you let in the good with the bad you know you might get members that start to come in and maybe do certain things you know that they shouldn’t be doing and then it makes everybody look bad i guess

Usually we if we see someone that’s got a nice bike like a harley or something we approach him and if he agrees he will come with us for about five to six rides to see what uh what kind of person he is then when he gets voted and he gets

Voted as a nominee and then after 12 months he gets voted again um to become a full patch member if he done something that we didn’t like or some members don’t like you need to get to that are against his nomination to become a full member and then we give him an

Extension for another six months and then if after that those six months if he’s still blackballed then he’s out for good that’s that’s the only chance he gets but if he’s good enough you know he stays with us and we do this process to see his attitude you know sometimes you might

Find a person who’s perfect but then he gets a beer and goes over his head and we don’t want none of that stuff you know because if he gets involved into trouble that means he’s involved in us and we’re all the same color so we are one well basically um a seniority

You know um but the thing is to open a chart or a chapter in any country you have to have five people i think it’s a vice you have to have the president the vice president a sergeant-at-arms a treasurer and and maybe a road captain but uh to

Get into these positions obviously if you come and be a prospect like what happened to me was after i prospected i was voted in as a full patch member after being a full patch member i was voted in a sergeant-at-arms okay and then after sergeant armed i was voted as president

But that’s that’s the process you know it depends on the years and the loyalty and uh your attitude towards the club and how much you want to get involved as well because there’s certain people they don’t really want to get involved they weren’t built to be leaders and and to lead

The the brothers you know and all the rest of it for me personally um my dad was into motorcycles he bought me my first motorcycle i was 10 years old you know so i’ve been on bikes my whole life i had a motocross bike i used to go enduro

Riding you know and all the rest of it road bikes you know you name it i’ve had it it’s in your dna it’s in the blood you know and some people it’s it’s you know from father to son it sat down like we was my son you know my son already has

Two bikes and he’s seven years old eight years old you know so it’s just i don’t know it’s it’s in the blood you know it’s just that freedom you feel when you’re when you’re on a motorcycle and you’re just riding down the road and you get the wind and i’m going to save

My hair because i got an air but you know it’s just the freedom you feel the feeling you get when you’re on a on a big bike you know well that’s all politics and you know i don’t know if i can use the word [ __ ] you know

What they did the alex was very unfair it was a very low blow you know they didn’t give him a chance to go back and fight his court case against the the government or the immigration you know they did it to him when he was here malta he was here on holiday he

Came to one of our events you know what i mean and then they they gets a call that his visa has been pulled and they can’t go back to australia when the men i i don’t understand because the man is married to an australian woman he’s got kids he’s got great grandkids

He’s got his businesses he’s all his properties you know he’s always paid tax and all the rest of it but for them they want to try to cut the head off of the snake you know get rid of the big boss from australia and get them stuck here in malta which which

You know okay alex vella built the club from the ground up you know and a lot of people respect them for that you know what i mean but what they did to them to a man that doesn’t even have a criminal record you know and they just said listen you

Can’t come back i think it’s it’s pretty unfair would be unfair to anybody because of one man it doesn’t you know it’s not everybody’s matter because if some priest has done something bad to some child you know you don’t go and arrest the pope you know what i mean and alex

Miller gets all the heat for the for everything no no well as far as i know we’re not sexist or something but the reason why women are not allowed is just to safeguard them sort of you know not as such immortal but overseas you know some countries they’re a little

Bit tougher i mean not a little bit that tough lot and it’s a woman can become an easy target it doesn’t mean that they come out with us like my wife she comes riding with me but they they can’t be a member there are some clubs i immortal for sure i know

That are women only so we don’t take it against them no it’s not at all it’s just that you know i want to be strong and ready for anything you know just in case something happens and it’s just i just i just like take care of myself

You know i mean i’m i’m not getting any younger basically and it’s just working out and exercising in the gym it’s it’s always been a part of my life you know but it doesn’t mean it’s nothing to do with bikes or anything like that you know but it’s good to know

You know you’re there when you need it you got the muscles when you need them if you ever need them not as far as i’m concerned there might be some personal issues between one person and the other you know someone might have been in a club and went to another club crossed over

Because they had some issues with her brother or something but they’re mainly like more like social clubs um but as far as i know nothing but actually we if they have a do we support them if we have one they come and support us sometimes we go to their club sometimes

They come to our club and we have a drink together they eat together um there’s no room for such things in modern-day because it could be your cousin with a different club it could be your brother with a different club i don’t know i got to be careful what i

Say because there’s a lot of people for them are [ __ ] that sorry the the harleys are the worst bikes you know but i don’t know i if there’s something that i wouldn’t buy i guess it would be maybe a yamaha ball you remember those little red ones the

Yamaha i hate those things anyway but not the yamaha yamaha are good bikes i’m just talking about the yamaha but i don’t people thinking that i said bad things about yamaha but i mean nowadays all the bikes are good bikes i had my harleys and my tattoos before i

Was 40 years old but uh for me what i did was when i had my kids you know the older you get the smarter you get the more material you’re supposed to get right so i had enough of all the crazy riding on the bikes you know on the job bikes

And everything else and what i did was i sold my job bikes and i invested in my first harley you know and then i bought another harley and then we built this chopper you know phil piper and i and everything and uh i don’t think but yeah some people

Possible i’ve seen guys that yeah all of a sudden they turn 40 and they go crazy you know they tattoos and they go by harley or or whatever but it might be because it’s just that time of their life that they can afford to do stuff because there’s a lot of people they

Work for their family all their life and then when you’re at 40 45 years old your kids have grown up a bit you know you can maybe afford because nowadays they get tattoos it’s big money if you go to the good ones you know what i mean that’s all you want

A 7 800 euro tattoo one thousand euro tattoo and you go to a 30 000 euro bike 25 000 euro bike you gotta have the money for it as well and some people it’s because at that age they can afford it well i think biking colleges just

Because you’re proud to be with uh with a club you know and and you want to honor that and show people and then you know like i got the death head here and the rebels mcmalta13 and the rebels over my eyebrow you know it’s just they know that i’m

I’m a member you know but it’s just my loyalty and everything towards the club you know some people get them and some people don’t but when they see the guys that do get them they’re serious about it you know what i mean because this is a this is a

Lifetime thing because once you want to tattoo you it’s there you’re never going to remove it this is uh normally uh when you get the forever you either have to be a president of a chapter or a lifetime member once you’re a lifetime member that means 10 years in the club

And and you get another patch up here as well that has a 10-year life lifetime member and this is the elite is is part of uh basically the the few guys in the club that that really went the extra mile to get this patch and we’re really loyal towards the club

And have done things for the club that the other people you know haven’t done or couldn’t do or or whatever i mean it’s and all these the one percent and the 13 because we’re one percent mc club and the 13. um there’s a lot of different explanations for the third team but my

Favorite one is if you go in the alphabet all right we got 13 stars in the flag that we fly on our patch on our back okay but this for me is the letter m you know and because alex below is for malto for me the 13 means the letter m and the

Alphabet that’s why i got the 13 on my neck as well we do elections we have yearly elections you know and uh right now there’s a there’s uh the uh the committee we have the committee you know and we got we got we got ray he’s

The president we got alan he’s a vice you know i’m the sergeant at arms at the moment you know we got johnny over there he’s he’s a treasurer you know what i mean and and basically uh every year we’ll have an election now if maybe next year somebody else

Wants to go for whatever position they just put their name in and the members vote you know and if the members would like a change in the in the in the committee or something it’ll happen but it’s it’s it’s voting we vote well in australia we’re we’re a big v twin uh club

And big v twins are harley-davidsons basically you know not now they’re not sportsters or anything anything above the sportster okay the 1200 cc engines they’re the 88 cuber over there or less than that they’re not allowed in the club you know but but here in malta because not everybody can afford a harley

Or a flashy bike they changed the rules for us and they allowed us to have japanese custom bikes no less than 600 cc though you understand and that’s the thing for us here you know because we’re really into our bikes really we like our harleys and our choppers and and whatever

You know we like the american stuff basically you

    1. The brotherhood in Malta ain't nothing like Australia and New Zealand. Honestly it's just as hardcore in Aussie as it is in USA. In a way I'd say it's worse in Australia than America to be in a Club and not because of laws. Australia is full of MC violence there's literally no peace unless your Chapter dominates the area but even it won't stop your Prez from being snipped. New Zealand is just meth meth and more meth, if your family your generally safe if your a solid unit safe but just a rise up you'll be a mule.

    2. I have never experienced that. Perhaps Being a blood relative has never proved difficult..You behave and know your place and understand what's public and what is not.
      Not that hard is it!@GV

    3. Yea for me as soon as my youngest son graduated high school i got a harley and started riding again. I was the only paycheck in the house so i waited until they were nearly grown. I was able to connect with other guys that ride and have enjoyed the good times and the long rides we did together over the years. I dig it.

    4. No one cares what a rebels motorcycle gang member has to say, they're just a bunch of cowardly, dispicable, lowlife scum trying to validate themselves by wearing a ridiculous costume and riding around with a 'war cry' that is literally the sound of loud obnoxious fart.

    5. If you see group photos of Rebels in Australia the striking thing is how many of them have long service patches.

Most clubs have a fairly high turnover in members, but, with the Rebels, hundreds of their members have been in the club 10+ years.

I would love to know the history of how the Rebels became the largest club in Australia, with chapters even is small towns out in the middle of nowhere, and also why they are so much more successful in retaining their members.
