      Remco complaining he's stuck on big chainring and saying he could easily have won it if he was able to shift smaller ring, while martinez himself sprinted in big chain ring….this guy never humbled himself and can't just accept defeat

      I have been thinking about today stage. And know it's 'just' Algarve. But i feel it proves that Visma is not quite the juggernaut of days gone past. Imagine if we get the exact same race scenario we got today. Van Aert still a relative danger for GC going up the road. But instead of Tratnik and Kuss sitting pretty in the peloton whilst you soup up your team. You have Kuss and Vingegaard or Kuss and Roglic sitting behind you. Just from a mental perspective this would put a great deal of pressure on the race leader. I respect Tratnik but he ain't Roglic or Vingegaard.

      Remco mi dispiace ,ma parte sempre troppo prima e spreca energie per la volata ,mi sembra ancora molto inesperto ! Poi dice dipo l'arrivo che latro era più veloce di lui..,ma se gli tira la volata ci credo e che cavolo!!! Secondo me6se avesse fatto un po di pista e qualche sei giorni d'inverno come facevano i campioni come Merckx,Saronni e Moser,lui avrebbe vinto il doppio delle corse che a sprecato perché parte troppo prima e deve anche dedicare del tempo alle volate ,le corse a cronometro sono poche e gli arrivi in solitaria te li lasciano nelle corsette,nelle gare importanti ,come la.sanremo, il.giro di lombardia non ti ladciano andare via cosi facilmente con corridori del calibro di Pogachiar e Mattieu van der poel ecc .ecc ,bravo ma deludente nel.finale in volata come sempre e non è completo…,peccato perché io faccio il tifo per lui da anni🤦🤦🤷🙏❤️❤️❤️

      A few considerations about Remco.

      CATALUNYA 2023:
      stage 1) started the sprint too late. stage 3) sprinted too early, blown up in the final 50 metres, Ciccone wins.
      stage 5: sprints too early, blown up in the final 100 metres

      VUELTA 2023. Stage x) sprinted too early in the Xorret stage, after having pulled for like 4 km. Outsprinted by Roglic.
      stage y) Started the sprint too late, he passed Woods immediayely after the finish line.

      3) ALGARVE 2024: started the sprint at 200/300 m two times, blown up in the final 100metres.

      It's clear that he is not tactically aware of his possibility. Maybe his sprint is not so good anyways, but this lack of smartness makes him severely underperform in nearly every sprint.
      That being said: his trainers have a BIG responsibility. You cannot let an athlete make the same mistake over and over again.
