Catfish, Morgan Wade, and Koji Kraft walk into a condo…

Catfish is the best BMX personality in the game, a world-class announcer, and pretty legendary biker. Morgan Wade needs no introduction with several x-games medals and the fact that he can say he’s done a 27 foot 1 handed invert. Koji Kraft is an OG legend.

    Life ain’t real. Enjoy!

Hello my BMX nerd friends welcome back to canode NOS life is not a real thing I just had catfish Morgan Wade and COI craft in my living room this is surreal um I would have loved to do like one-on-one in-depth podcast with each and every one of them but it was really

Fun just to shoot the [ __ ] I think this is the first multi-person one that’s especially in person so it was a different vibe and uh I had a good time I kind of just was like let’s go with the wind and see where this conversation goes I think my favorite part is talking

To Morgan about his mega ramp BMX or yeah mega ramp experience and getting into that and what that feels like and just imagining it gives me the Goosebumps right now it’s it’s pretty nuts um I’ve been watching Morgan Wade since I was a baby and K craft is a

[ __ ] Legend and catfish is just this is unreal so very grateful that they came over to have a conversation with me and I hope you guys enjoy it for them the next two hours 2 hours and 15 minutes um yeah it’s a good one I don’t know what how else to

Preface this these guys are goats this is not a structured conversation in the least bit and uh yeah gets gets weird and fun before we get into it go to raar life.com and use promo code canode to get yourself some green superfoods so you can get healthy and become a great

Rider like these guys uh and that’s that’s about it that’s all I got I appreciate you guys please subscribe I don’t really ask that I think at the beginnings but uh do that I’m we’re almost at 2,000 subscribers on YouTube you know what I’m saying so that’s a

That’s a huge deal I think my girlfriend will think I’m a lot cooler if I reach 2,000 so do that for me okay that’s all here’s coic craft Morgan Wade catfish I’ve been working on the railroad all the live long [Laughter] Day just to pass the time [Laughter] let’s get some beats going all right sounds like trip is looking at us like what the heck is going on hi trip all right it’s okay we got catfish we got Morgan Wade and COI Kraft hi hi what the [ __ ] hi what the

[ __ ] uh and you guys are in my house what the hell are we doing what are you guys in town for what’s going on we’re hanging out there’s a three-legged animal convention and these guys didn’t believe me it existed I knew you were showing trip no we were in town doing

Shows and we had linked up to do uh to do a podcast and then we I came over the other day we just chilled hung out with the homies we had a podcast in real life it was the best yeah those are actually awesome especially when you haven’t seen

Somebody in a long time and then I was scheduled to come over today and then earlier I was like you know what I’m an interesting person I’m not going to lie but Morgan Wade and Co with me it there’s way more people that that are more interested in what they have to say

And we could do this any time so I was like let’s bring them over well it’s it’s always good to bounce stories off each other we’ve been on so many trips together that we have tons of stories and it’s it’s easy to just kind of like Get The Dominoes rolling with stories so

Here we are let’s get ready to rumble Ki KI is eaten an Arizona edible things could get interesting you know how many milligrams at this point or what do you mean at this point me at this point in your system right I mean in the beginning it was like 10

Each but like I don’t know how many each he says each yeah can’t see yeah where the rain come from I didn’t think it rain in Arizona you brought it man I told you they C it’s crying the rain the Arizona’s crying cuz I’m here that’s right it’s been a weird weird

Couple of days like the desert missed the rain yeah we rode the wedge yesterday though so that was tight that’s fire I an inch shorter yeah tell what happened insert clip man everyone was like why would you stop filming jum that rail I jumped on that rail right before the the actual

Spot and I did a couple times and then I missed my front Peg and I put my the top of my head into the upright it’s a good plan man Ki got so scared plan it justed and CO’s filming it and as soon as like the good part happens COI puts the phone

Down dude I’m like my friend’s neck is sideway that’s what he said you know what I said to him I was like it’s Morgan Wade no you’re right he’s going to be fine when we ride together he pulls everything we had this game we play when we’re doing shows where like we’ll try

To like trip catfish up by doing just like weird tricks and like if he doesn’t catch on we’re all like no you’re rider dude know you’re Rider you caught on with the opposite stuff the day did I mean on and offer I started I started doing the ASA shows in 2019 so

I’ve been doing ASA what does that stand for Action Sports ass work originally because I started 20 years ago it used to be the aggressive skate Association no [ __ ] and now it’s the Action Sports Association yeah started doing rebranded because there’s a new owner and everything so like it’s

How old were you when you started doing show I was n no was a 2002 I just started doing double flips of like every contest the answer is 21 because you’re 41 Co you just said it was 20 years ago 19 I was 19 got it 22 years

AG 82 2002 Hell yeah uh did you bring these guys into it like how how did you guys get involved with it uh [ __ ] I just got I just got asked asked to jump on board by who the heck asked me I got rck I think Rick actually reached out to mea

Is historically known they’re known for the tour that we’re on right now but they’ve also been doing for years and years and years from its Inception I think major events they do a big massive women’s surfing event but back in the day they did the it was like triples it

Was the ASA triples they and before that they had the the Championships they had the mobile Skate Park series and the the LG Action Sports champ paid for my down paying amount on my house tell that story please tell that story so uh 2007 Dallas it was downtown Dallas Reunion

Arena uh I got lucky and won the contest so they yeah it was lucky no Talent it was luck but like uh you know they do the whole like award ceremony thing and they have you walk across stage they hand you the big check and all that

Stuff and catfish was announcing so he’s on the stage and of course as soon as I walk up on the stage back when we played childish games he gives me the 69 eyes and I had to do a back roll on on television on the stage on my way to

Grab the $30,000 check I was like ah turn and I did a back roll it was so they were like uh right I they had somebody they had somebody special there to like hand it out and I don’t remember who it was it but he was like oh but

That contest and I don’t know if it that that contest is even online it was like one of those just epic contests where there’s this country kid from The Middle of Nowhere Texas at this massive contest I was already I was established at that point the reason I say that is the crowd

Was so behind you obviously it’s oh yeah Hometown it was Hometown Hero at that point it was that was that was an awesome cont fish 69 that was amaz that was the same contest that uh when I got there they had uh overbooked the hotel

So when I was working the contest and I was like what do I need before we get too too much further I want to make sure that this I’m I just the other day on a podcast that I was doing for work instead of having the audio come from

This machine oh I got you there was a setting where it came from the laptop so let me just pause the laptop microphone was picking it up and I’m quite confident that that’s what’s happening right here and I just need to make sure sorry boys okay we’re good ni got it

That was a year Kanye played [ __ ] Kanye played we’re good I’m traumatized from that my bad boys my bad I don’t remember Kanye being there Kanye played but they overbooked the hotel and uh I was like what are you going to do and they’re like well I thought it was

Ludicrous only ludicrous and one night was ludicrous one night oh I missed that one oh that was that was a separate one the first one that you you were at they over booked my the the hotel so they gave me a conference room with a pull

Out bed so I had this massive conference room it had a sink and a refrigerator and I just had parties in my room every night it was tight [ __ ] yeah that’s amazing also in the parking lot party in the parking lot party in the parking lot

What what was got ride what was the down payment of your house uh it’s like 30 grand like yeah dude that’s awesome basically just just put it into the house the old days when BMX contest paid crazy money like that is that the biggest check that you guys have gotten

Like what’s COI the biggest one I that’s the biggest one I’ve ever gotten are you talking about biggest like sizewise or actually MoneyWise I’ve alwaysed that’s the most money I’ve ever that’s the most money I’ve ever won yeah ASA was like really good with like actually like

Making sure as divy out like like a higher sum than than the other contest so it like made made more incentive to like the higher names to go to them listen listen to him marketing ability to like oh we got and it’s also like every athlete was

Like dude we’re getting paid double than what X Games and everybody else is paying why would I not go to then there’s more of these events like always like a series yeah he wants to think that 21 years years how did you get into the school so like first before for for

People who don’t know you guys are like doing shows at schools for kids and traveling around the whole country doing this like what all are you guys doing and what is it how did you get into it uh I mean in the beginning it was it was literally doing the shows on the

Weekdays and then on the weekends you’d be at the concept series like every weekend was a different state or whatnot and then you’d be doing a show in in a state like like another state before that and they fly you into the next contest and some of them were like

Overseas you’d be flying back and forth a lot hell yeah but like that’s what like the ASA world tour tour was yeah so like you’d literally be flying back and forth to shows and then doing these coner series and how did you did you get invited just like him just somebody

Emails you and say do this Jimmy Coleman that ran GT like back in the 90s uh he was a tour manager for GT back then and he was happen to be the announcer for the event but also he just like asked me hey do you want to do you want to do do

Some shows for ASA while you know there’s downtime in between this this stop and uh my first show for them I ended up breaking shattering my ankle and like it a spiral fracture up my fibula like I was on for a year after that damn dude that’s F that was my

First show for ASA but they’ve always like kept me back on then like you they they took care of me you know flew me back home like it was like no harm no foul kind of thing like kept me on for years to come that’s BMB and you’re

Still doing it so must not suck like it’s I mean it’s good good gig it it pays well and they it also like we get to do a positive thing for you know all the all the kids that are out there that are just in environments where they

Don’t feel like they can actually step up and like be bigger than themselves realize a lot of people don’t even know about like what BMX is or like skating or anything like that I think that’s what it is like could be gives you that confidence like when you’re a kid cuz

You’re like that’s my first sense of Freedom was getting this bike and then all of a sudden like I have this ability to like be able to like do things I didn’t realize I was capable of yeah I think like the cool thing about shows

That I’ve always loved is if I ask all of you or anybody that’s watching this when’s the first time you saw BMX the first time you saw a real BMX Ride or whether it’s in your city somewhere doing tricks in a parking lot at a skate

Park whatever we’ll all be able to tell you doing shows you get to be that dude you know and that’s so fun yeah we get tons of people that come up to us afterwards Matt Hoffman and the sprocket jockies is the first time ever BMX really Texas stay Fair Ron Wilkerson

Brian blether and Dave Nory 1964 four oos Doug Fida hero tosha’s fast break freestyle and Matt Wilhelm was one of the Riders and like me and Matt have been doing shows that’s sick Matt and Matt Still rides too Matt kills it he’s he’s been a lot of international content

That’s the wildest thing the show I watched it was it was hofman merera McCoy and I think Rick Thorne Dam that’s a great first show what’s also funny I actually posted this on my uh on my Snapchat story the other day the first song that I’m 12 years old

Frankfurt bike parking lot the show is getting ready to start you know they cordin it off and all it is is a quarter pipe that all that’s it you know and the intro music starts and it’s uh stepping wolf Magic Carpet Ride it starts out like super slow and then and they cannot

Ride and obviously it’s super old for me but ever since then every show that I’ve ever had or done it’s always been in my playlist either I play it in the in the intros or not in the intros in the beginning or the the warm-ups or

Afterwards how old were you uh 12 years old [ __ ] yeah crazy and here I am now 72 still [ __ ] kicking it still out here it’s a marathon not a race yeah that’s uh I I always had the thought that I would like grow out of it or get

Out of being involved in BMX and I’m 33 and I’m still cooking you know it’s like still you’re [ __ ] 75 that’s the thing that kind of bumps me out that a lot of times you know and it happens with every generation of BMX riders since my my people uh people will say oh

BMX sucks now it was so much better back then and I would say it’s what you make of it BMX is [ __ ] awesome right now you’re picking and choosing you’re not picking the right [ __ ] because whatever you’re into there’s still some [ __ ] that’ll get you stoked for real and it’s

Like the people that don’t they don’t want it hard enough I can think what gets you stoked new new [ __ ] seeing new everything from Eric elen’s new edit or to seeing stuff that Ryan Williams is doing people are having fun on a bike doing [ __ ] cuz that’s all always say

Like like BMX is crazy cuz it’s there’s if you think about it there’s no wrong way to do tricks on your bike facts and that’s what I always tell you know I always even in the shows I ask how many of you guys could ride one with one hand

Down the block one hand how many of you guys can ride with no hands down the block oh sick you’re a flat Lander you could ride no handed that’s that’s a trick oh yeah you know yeah that’s bomb what gets you stoked right now being in the game for this long honestly same

Thing it’s the exact same thing when I see something like that’s just awesome it it it Stokes me out man fu yeah because it’s like cool you see like I mean there’s so much wild stuff happening now and like I’m not a fan of

All of it but I respect all of it and like it’s it’s just awesome to see what people are doing with it you know like where where we were like progressing when I was you know on the scene more in in the in the contest circuit that’s like the starting point for everybody

Now and it’s always been that way like my starting point was the generation before me was was there you know so it’s like it’s just it’s the natural progression of it so seeing where people we taking it is is so awesome there’s like a whole generation of kids that

Watched Morgan wayes Huck it for years no offense you’re obviously just send it big is what I’m saying not much has changed and like that’s their Baseline and so like who is the well first I want to well no let’s [ __ ] I’ve never done a multi-group podcast I have I have a

Thought over here I’m like what gets you stoked hold that thought Koji but uh is there somebody that you’re looking at right now that is like the new not Morgan Wade but somebody that you think you could you would pass the uh TCH to who’s the Morgan Wade of today currently

That’s that’s a tough one that’s definitely a tough one um I mean like this is like a few years back but I always felt like when I would go to contests and when I like r with Drew bansen like it out to Drew it was almost

Like he’s one of my one of my favorite humans yes and one of my favorite people to ride with but the problem came when we’ go to do our runs we would both see the same things and we both both try the same gaps so it’s like my the way I

Would like approach a contest run is I would find the biggest Gap I could find that no one else is going to do from here to over there and I would just be like that’s where I’m starting and if I I have all my energy I’m putting every

110% into that Gap if it works I’m just going to ride around and do flares and tail UPS until my time runs out and if I can manage it I’ll do a flip fakey on the buzzer or something like that cuz it’s nice to have a punctuation mark and

Like Drew would do all the same Gap we be in cuz in practice I would look at stuff and I would like eyeball it but I wouldn’t actually do it cuz I didn’t want to you know there back back then there was a lot of Australian riders that would definitely watch what you

Doing and try to steal your lines right or or English writers alist Whitten but like who one time he actually apologized to me in the air at X Games while he was stealing my line sorry Morgan no [ __ ] yeah he said sorry Morgan and he jumped

This Gap that I was the only one that had done it and he was right before me in the lineup oh no dude Al Alis Al this what we came can this is what we we came to do we came to stir some [ __ ] up we’re going to

Talk about the other [ __ ] in BMX later on but this is see we’re here keep it going alist is also one of my favorite humans I love that dude but yeah was just funny like I I went ahead and you know one uped him on the Gap and did a

Trick over it instead of just jumping it like a like a stale fish America America America USA baby but yeah so like we would go and like you know Drew would be attracted to the same exact stuff that I was attracted to so fun to ride with so

Like practice oh my gosh so much fun and it would be like run time and I’m like ah I got nothing everyone’s already seen it because Drew did it 10 times better than me five times who was I just listening to somebody was talking about how competitive it is but it’s like that

False I’m just here to have fun but you know you kind you do want to win type [ __ ] like what is it I’ve never been in a contest what’s it like it some some people people are a lot more serious than other people for sure um

I literally the way I always looked at contests where this is an it was an opportunity to go and have a session with the best Riders on the planet for like three days straight I get practice my favorite thing about those big contests was like do tours and X Games

Was like the practices because it was literally just a session with like 10 or 20 of the best Riders on the planet and it was so fun and half the time it came down to like contest day and I’m like I don’t have a run cuz I just was goofing

Off the whole time and I didn’t actually put a thought into oh wait I should like pick a line out and actually do it so I would just kind of like you know like throw everything in in a hat and see where it goes but like some people were

Very very competitive and like got upset if they didn’t get as much practice and stuff like that which that was kind of a bummer but like was Kobe where it’s just like don’t even talk to me don’t look at me like who’s the most serious dude that

You comp competed with uh it it kind of went that kind of went in like phases there there were a handful of guys that were like that but I I’m very good friends with all those guys so I don’t try to throw anybody in I wouldn’t say

It’s a bad thing either like it’s just you either like some people just needs a zero in yeah no absolutely and it worked it worked for for them because that’s how that’s how they operated so imagine like just [ __ ] around with they’re not [ __ ] around but trying to get

Into the other writer heads like just giving them like you’re going to [ __ ] this up dud I got hey I got a story talking about throwing people under the bus you want to hear a crazy story about that and this isn’t I wasn’t there but this is

What Daniel Dares told me oh this is going to be good I wasn’t there this story is great I wasn’t there I I I like I like this guy but as soon as you said trying to get inside their head I thought of the story and Daniel if

Daniel is here he will tell you the story I don’t know all the details but it was ASA triples event and it was like a head-to-head thing where you go and then I go and it was Colton saterfield and Daniel Dares and right before Daniel’s run right before his run

Saterfield is like hey your head tube’s cracked no way right and Dan what Danel freak out got the the check in the thing there was no crack in it he rides whatever afterwards he’s like yo why did you tell me I had a crack in my frame and CFI was

Like I just want to get inside your head wowow right so this is of iir people out smart smart thing to say if I was going to try that’s a good one you can play comp for you you know protect yourself at all times that’s incredible

I actually can’t think I can’t think of an in tell me I know there was a lot of rivalries in vert back in those days like Woodward stuff but uh I also didn’t pay attention to that kind of stuff it wasn’t for me like it’s his own world

When people were being like weird like that I’ll would just be like yeah whatever I just ignore them yeah I I have never given a crap what other people thought about my riding or anything for that matter so that’s what’s up if you don’t like it that’s cool yeah thanks what about you

Competition stuff you you want to know about how competitive BMX vert was here we here we go no but like I was never I was I’d never gotten a BMX for that reason that was like the whole reason why I didn’t want to be a part of those jock sports

Like my my brother played football he went to West Point like played in the Army football team like like it was a serious like sport sports sports all this [ __ ] and like I didn’t want anything to do that so I was a gymnast so in my freshman year in high school I

Was a state gymnast did you have the pants that said nasty across the butt what what gymnast do you know gymnast wait is I’ve been to Woodward okay back when they actually had gymnast see I I never had money to be a club kid so I

Just I was in like the public school like gymnastics team but then I I ended up going to State because my freshman year I was like I had that motivation to like learn everything cuz I only wanted to learn back flips on my bike is the

Only reason why I was in gymnastics yeah [ __ ] yeah I think to like my coach is like you’re letting down the team my senior year I quit and like started like doing shows for Schwin and everything like that whole career picked up but it’s like my coach is like you’re

Letting down the team blah blah I was like the whole reason why I was here because I wanted to ride my bike and get away from team sports yeah for real but I mean so you did team sports and then you got into it uh and

Then was it like like tell me about the bir [ __ ] well so so you you were saying before um what was the question before that the competive get in people’s heads on the deck before all you sted oh what get what gets you inspired what gets you

Stoked right get you stoked right now all right so so every this to me what freestyle is is like you give me 10 people that can do a tail up I’ll show you 10 different ways to do a tail up like no one has the same aspect like we

Were both we were all agreeing on that whole thing like Freestyle is is meant to be it’s a freestyle like there’s no set way like you don’t have to like do your arms in a motion or you can’t just not kick it and like downside whip into

It like it’s it’s however it works if it lands and works for you that is the way you do it and that’s your style yeah and like that’s the thing that we don’t celebrate that’s why I say like the the display of abilities everyone like kind

Of gives me [ __ ] because I’m like why are we doing contests when like it’s really like we’re displaying each person’s capabilities one one of the things I want to point out and to to your followers or viewers that might not know put some we’ll put some Koji Clips

In here Koji he grew up in BMX he literally turned Pro when he was 16 and he grew up in the magazines he was this little kid this foury he had these big glasses and he killed it Koji was the second person ever to do a double back

Flip in a contest [ __ ] yeah and uh but the thing about koji’s riding has always been so original that I’ve always and I’ve told Koji this from back in the dour days where Ki would always get judged against himself on vert everybody’s pretty much doing the same

Thing but Koji would be doing hard [ __ ] like like bar switch hander uh what else would you do bar switch handed no Footers bar switch handed no fo switch handed no footed switch handed bar on vert the switch handed is [ __ ] me up what are you doing

Roatch so you spin the bars and as it’s spinning you catch with the same hand you spin with hell yeah but because he was so it makes my heart drop every time he does every literally so scary most because I’ve seen him get knocked out about 50 times doing that crap but

Because he would always do that he would pull it in his runs but because he would always do that and nobody else would I at least in my opinion he would always got judged against himself where where he should have been scored so much higher in so many contests he got so

Many second places in his life because he you got judg get well I’m not going to call the judge that said this to me but he said well you did so many variations in that that one air that we were writing down the last wall and we

Didn’t see what you did and I was like yeah why would you first why would you tell me that second all like okay you missed it but it still happened and it’s on video like but I mean it didn’t matter like cuz I wasn’t there don’t you

Do don’t you do downside tooth to no one-handed Lander well to Toth tooth to one-handed like roll out that’s nothing I have a great clip of him doing that at the Long View Park firster that insert that clip I was laughing like I’m laughing right now no

No the first one was the [ __ ] nose pick on the coping to coping spine thing and I just [ __ ] just Bal myself and just go and you hear the air coming out of my chest going like every BMX knows that [ __ ] feeling of just like defeat

And just like I can’t even get a breath in there’s nothing better than laughing at your friends we CU you’re like I’m good like I’m not good but I’m like I’m going to pretend I’m good but that’s how you know you’re a good person and he’s a

Jabron because when you had all those crashes what the you can’t even hear you crashing cuz he’s laughing so hard in the clip and then he and then you crash and he puts the phone down cuz he’s worried about you do like more funny than like someone hitting their head

Like that’s a whole different it’s not even a comparison to how loud I was laughing when you crashed trying to Bunny Hop those kids in Vegas inser the yeah that see me go did you just break his wrist in half like I di I almost broke my collar bone on bunny I

Literally fell down I was laughing so we have a lot of fun we definitely have a lot of fun some people get offended at when you laugh when they fall but it’s like as long as you kind of know they’re all right it’s pretty fun I like it’s

Sounds weird but in shows I like it when they crash obviously not that I don’t want everyone them to get hurt but I like it when they crash because if the crowd is getting behind Morgan cuz he’s doing a 360 Superman Whip and he slides out everybody’s like oh Morgan does a

Push-up everybody’s like oh crap this dude is a beast I got a mean worm yeah and hey do you guys want to see him do it make some noise they’re sending their energy to him they’ve already sent it to him one time they got let down they send

Even more energy he pulls it everybody goes nuts and everybody’s a part of that energy you’ve engaged them you know and that’s what’s uh that that shit’s tight it is tight like see the the whole process is so dope for me the Laughing is more of a defense mechanism

I think because I laugh when I crash I laugh just as hard when I’m when I crash unless I’m like really hurt I’ll be like but for the most part I’m usually laughing if push-ups or the worm or something stupid but like I that that bleeds over to when I watch my friends

Too because most of the time they’re okay and if they’re not okay then I’ll I’ll I’ll you know definitely switch modes real quick and and help however I can but well like the few times I’ve seen Morgan just be like go behind the trailer I’m like oh this is real and

I’ll like I’ll literally like the announcers the announcers of whatever announcing and then I’ll like go around the back and be like hey are you he like you’ll give me like a nod and I’ll be like we like we got each other we’ve done done it for each other tons of

Times about a month a month and a half ago bent my thumb as far down as you can go and it popped and it still it still hurts hurts right now I don’t know if I broke it or not did a 720 and got off axis and just landed and bar caught it

And just ripped my thumb back and I was just like oh gosh I made it through like one like a flip at the end of the show the first show too and it was the first show of like a four day thing down in Houston it was me Koji and and Sam

Bowman for BMX pros and like literally I was like how am I going to ride the rest of the week and I literally it just came down to if I just squeeze with these fingers as hard as I can it’s bearable get the [ __ ] out of here yeah it’s it

Sucked you take your thumbs for granted you just made me think about my thumbs and not being in pain this is dope after like a after like literally like a maybe like three two or three days before this tour started I like did this with my

Thumb and it went and it popped and I was like oh it was the most it was the most relieving feeling it was like it had been out of place for a month and a half and it finally went back into place I was like oh my gosh it’s so good and I

Could move it again I I couldn’t do that it was oh man like I said take I’m curious cuz you guys are [ __ ] Savages like what’s the longest you’ve been out what’s the I don’t want to I’ve never even I’ve never even been hurt other than my thumb no [ __ ] you’re full [ __ ]

You got me for a second dude I what what Ariz Arizona took more than three of his teeth years ago Chandler I I did a first clip in the Levi’s video super whip on the the two bumps and I overshot I actually did it once and then I went

Back to do it again to do it better because I’m I’m pretty hard on myself over what my Superman tail UPS look like when I’m filming them and I was like I wasn’t good enough I got to do it again so I did it again and I overshot a

Little bit and my feet missed and I just went straight to my face I had a mouth guard in to the ground to the ground yeah just hand nothing like cement parks and literally I pulled roll the clip the clip literally I pulled my mouth guard out and there were two teeth

In it no [ __ ] way oh I hate that and I had a concussion so shortly after that I for forgot where I was and then we ended up at the hospital and it was a good time but that didn’t keep you off the bike for too long teeth you can ride

Without teeth yeah concussion the concussion is usually several weeks because a like a lot of times like I have trouble getting my balance if I’ve had a real bad concussion and I don’t want to hit my head again and cause worse damage because your brain is

Pretty pretty uh do you you have CTE oh hands down yeah of course what are the symptoms I don’t know what the symptoms are but I like you the symptoms are you’ve had tons of concussions and youve smashed your head all over the place I can’t think good no more I can’t think

Good no more I mean like I’ve I’ve had issues like like with like brain memory and and stuff like that about oh you know what I heard is impulse control like if you hit your head enough like you you kind of lose impulse control like maybe I mean I think a lot of

People are probably different I don’t I don’t think I’ve had that so much but like yeah I me you punched that lady in the grocery store the other day for real see this is our friend I was getting was in trouble at Walmart hey man she’s talking back what can I

Say no but like like I mean I’ve I’ve had a lot of of concussions I’ve had like probably over 20 like out cold snoring like w woke up somewhere else concussions and like it’s bad I mean it’s bad it’s not good for you right it’s definitely not good for you but

There’s defin there are like things that you can do to like help heal your brain that are not mainstream like what oh I there’s there’s a lot of things I mean friends that that they dabble in a little bit of well I have a lot of military friends I have a lot of

Military friends that have dealt with like PTSD and like yes tbis and stuff from war stuff and they have literally like really helped their brains a lot using like uh like psilocybe and stuff like that so yeah I’ve heard about that micro doing things things of that nature

Big fan of micro doing over here yeah I actually have Micro doing ingredients in my house alleged allegedly look it out for you bro that’s that’s the next weed it’ll be legal in the next yeah I think it’s in a couple St already I mean it’s coming honestly anything can

Be abused anything can be abused and if it’s used properly like it’s very effective yeah and like there’s a lot of drugs and bad [ __ ] like what does alcohol do for you in a medicinal dose like not [ __ ] much you know like a lot of other substances that are

Perfectly like acceptable don’t provide any benefit but then these ones are demonized but they actually help people get on right it’s because it’s because big farmer can’t make money off of it exactly it grows everywhere it’s super cheap and they don’t have a way to tax it right go figure it’s illegal let’s

Make it illegal dude yep FBI open up ladies and gentlemen we got them no but I mean like yeah so like the other the other issue is like um like that that movie that came out a while back with Will Smith about like CTE about the football players and like committing

Suicide and all that stuff it made me very angry really I saw it on an airplane I was furious at the end of it because that is that is they basically said oh if you do this this that and you get an injury of this nature it will make you suicidal

That was the point they were trying to get across with that movie they were trying to bring attention to it that’s cool there are obviously side effects people’s lives falling apart all this stuff because they’re having head issues but CTE is not why people right do that

To themselves there are so many factors I mean you look at every single example in that movie about that and it was homie was at the top of his game he had all the money he had everything family everything and then he couldn’t play anymore he lost all his money his family

Disappeared he was at the bottom of the the barrel what is that a recipe for even if you don’t have CTE people right people do that with that so I mean it’s very unfair to look at a situation like that and think that’s the reason and that’s

The point they were trying to make was oh this is the reason this stuff happens and there there have been other things that have been blamed on that in our industry that I no hands down W that was not the cause yeah I don’t like that

Either I don’t like that that’s the main I should probably watch that movie if you can remember and you know it’s convenient that the only the only way you can find out if you have it is if they cut part cut your brain apart and look inside your brain wow yeah so it’s

Like all these people that have this they’re like oh well he did this that and that we should check his brain for CTE and then they cut him open like yep he had it that’s the reason it’s like no there were a lot of other reasons a lot of things combined

Like that is like the farthest like if I’ve probably had way more head injuries and way more of that crap in my brain than most of those football players in that movie that they were talking about and I don’t have any of those issues and it’s because my head space right yeah

It’s because my head space because the like yeah I mean it’s like yeah there’s so many factors to I remember it was like a big what’s your what’s your purpose for living is it your sport is it money is it this that or whatever or like you know where do you find your

Reason for existence right I don’t find it in any of those things what do you find it in in my relationship with Jesus Christ let’s go that’s a good that’s a damn good foundation yeah yeah and everything is based off of that and there are tons of important things as

Well that are very important to me and like all of those things I said are important to me like BM I love riding BMX I love my job I love like the homies the homies it’s you know I take all that away and you’re still okay take all that

Away and I’ve still got that Foundation right have you always been religious since like being young or was it a I don’t like the term religious because religion is like a man it’s a that the term religion is essentially when you look at you have God created us sin separated

Us from God religion religion is man coming up with a system to make himself right with God yeah yeah being a Christian being a Christian having a relationship with Christ is God did a thing to make me right with him and I accepted it by having that relationship

Yeah so let me rephrase it have you had how long have you had the relationship I I I grew up my my family with Christians growing up and I grew up in in that in that world with those influences and I was probably about eight years old when

I when I decided that I wanted to have that relationship and then there was a long period where I just you know kind of did my own thing yeah cuz you know tons of people can can be Christians and just be like off own doing their own

Thing for a while and but if if there’s that relationship once once it’s there it’s there so what does it look like for you like on a day-to-day basis are you praying are you like dedicating a certain amount of time every morning or

Is it like a I try to I’m I’m not I’m not the best at at schedules and keeping on top of things like all the time but I I definitely try to have my my head in the Bible and be reading and learning because that’s that’s God’s way of like

Interacting with us so I go the Holy Spirit that’s your line of communication and the Bible is how you can learn right so if you pray you can get answers from The Living Word the manual I like to call it bomb yeah man I just uh I just

Did a podcast with John Ma and he recently like just the past couple of years he’s studying the book so hard like it he’s taking it quite literally and I was blown away I was just like oh my God like I’ve never even known some of the things that he started telling me

About and I was just like what the the the firmament and Earth is flat shout out catfish so are you guys on the same team Flat Earth no I wouldn’t say that the Bible I would well the firmament is in the Bible but there’s there there are uh creation creation scientists that have

Their ideas of of how that would fit in to a pre- flood Earth you saw the guy on Road the he was just maybe a month or two ago and he was like the smartest person I’ve I’ve listened to have a take on God and like address all of the you know science

Questions that arise and Rogan hit him with some tough ones but he came back and I was just like I I like this it was pretty I’ll have to share it with you it super um that’s a tangent I mean there’s there there’s all kind like that is a

That is a long conversation but like there’s there’s there’s points good points on both both sides of it and like I really like the idea I like the idea of like Flat Earth because it’s essentially center of the universe right we are God’s creation we are we are what

He created the universe for I like that idea but I also think that like God created everything with rules and that’s like the the science that’s like the rules of science right there there are these things that work because God created those rules that we live within

Right and and uh I I do disagree with catfish on that I do think the Earth is is round I do think that like space I think there’s a lot of weird stuff with like government and telling people we’ve done things we haven’t done let’s let’s

Let’s just say that I’ve got I’ve gained a lot of conspiracy theorist friends over the last four years of that crazy thing that happened that we’re not allowed to talk about that you sure it wasn’t that thing that other thing that happened thing well the curtain definitely got drawn back the last

Couple years over how much is we being lied to about it was nuts and I still remember like it was yesterday all the pressure that was and like that goes back into what we were talking about earlier the whole mainstream medicine thing like I I like

I I love the fact that we have so many amazing brilliant doctors that can fix parts of our bodies like literally like cut US Open and put metal in and that makes us work again I got a ton of metal in my body right from like what about

Stem cell broken stuff I haven’t done that but like um literally like it’s awesome that people have been able to learn how to do that to help but I think there’s a lot of people that literally doctors that literally just do what they’re told by whatever powers to be

And they’re just like Oh no just take a pill for that right just take a pill for that make this guy some money because he’s getting some money for making that making that transaction it’s like you want to talk about a drug dealing problem let’s talk about painkillers

Yeah great time pain is our body telling us something is wrong you better St off of that yeah or hey why don’t you chill for a while because you got pain now I understand there are people with chronic pain that like I totally get that something in my body hurts pretty much

All the time but like I like if if everything in my body was all a sudden fixed right now I probably wouldn’t know what to do with myself I could probably like jump over house R like I feel great I’m so used to it right but like I understand that that

Some people need like pain management but like so many people get addicted to to prescription drugs and it’s like you don’t need that you don’t need that and then when you start actually like all you got to do is scratch the surface of some of these

Like how some of these drugs are made and you’re just like o Prett this gets pretty gross break blow weed smoke on you ever look at mainstream medicine you ever look at mainstream medicine on weed FBI fun fact I have never smoked anything in my entire life no [ __ ]

Cigarettes weed nothing I would have guessed that youve had a couple cigarettes in your life no NOP good for you dude I I’m drink I’ve had alcohol which I think is way worse than weed to be honest oh yeah it is 100% worse than

Weed it’s just I guess it used to be the the legal one now I I don’t have I don’t have a problem with people with like marijuana and whatnot it’s like I just don’t want to like what about addic or something I’ve had like the CBD Edibles

That I think do the same thing pretty much yeah so I’ve had that not really pretty close but good not really even close well I had so so like what was that two years ago coach when we were doing the Wisconsin State Fair and I pul I pulled my groin

In my right leg this muscle right this big old boy right here that big boy right there cha like literally my son asked me to race him across our yard and I was like race and I just started running and I was like I’m old and I was

Like oh my gosh and like dude it was it was awful and like then I went to Woodward I I kind of healed up was able to ride X Games and then I went to Woodward right after that and I tried this insert clip ice pick over on this

Big wall in lot eight and just obliterated myself and pulled the other side oh no so now the groin muscle that runs up on both sides I’m just like hobbling around like oh my gosh like you show Extra lude dude I looked like I had

A load in my pants like I crap my pants I couldn’t walk straight I was like man like I got to be able to ride these shows like this like 10 or 12 days of shows that like this is like a big chunk of money to provide for my family right and

Literally I was like eating so much ibuprofen just so I could function and then it just destroyed my stomach I started getting heartburn like crazy and I was like uhoh so I literally can’t take Ibuprofen anymore and it’s like it is probably for the best but like for

For years and years ibuprofen was the only it would work for me with pain I would just be like take like you know 600 Mig 800 milligrams and I’m like knock it out it’s good right and because I had to take it so many times so many

Days in a row it just started giving me gnarly heartburn and I was like yep we’re cutting that out and then I was just like how do I function and Ko’s like hey man I got this CBD you should try this gummy and I was like okay and

Then I fell into my phone later did it work like for the for the gr [ __ ] C I mean did you lie to him and say it was CBD but it was like a super one allegedly whatever I mean you dosed him no I I would never I cfish I do once but

Like that was that’s messed up it is it is it is it is but you made some incredible art and there’s a lot of cat butth holes out there in the world because of this that’s a messed up yeah tell them what happened coach needless say I don’t

Think I don’t think it worked for me yeah that’s okay otherwise I’d probably still be using it so we’re in Colorado and apparently there’s something called dissolvables that is odorless tasteless and it’s weed THC powder cool yeah d That’s what I said I was like encourageing Bobby going be stoked he’s

Going to be stoked this is going to be awesome cuz like I was like hey man I got this really good orange juice dude I just made this FR I I literally didn’t make fresh squeeze orange juice and like like making it prepared kid the kids at

The school that finally learn how to how to spell his name are going to look this up and be like he weed anyways so we’re in a legal State that’s right um I have and this is in the past this is over seven years ago allegedly anyways I make this great orange juice

Like concoction like super juicy just the most delicious juice you ever have and I’m like hey man have some of this juice and I like I dose both of us so I like I want to I’m going to share this moment with my friend this is my mind

Speaking I see you looking at me like your turn didn’t tell me so no he drink these cocktails and we’re just like having a great time he’s pacing the house just back and forth looking for my wallet looking for everything in my pocket this is some weird boost I could

Not figure it out it took me 45 minutes to figure out I started I started hearing smells I really want to paint something I hearing smells I started hearing smells and figure something was wrong it was 10 milligrams I had no idea what was going on COI you gave me Le an

Orange juice and I had a grilled cheese sandwich next thing I know I’m seeing Kaleidoscope COI goes hard that was a good edit kaleidoscope y that was fire Chris I just was not not a cool guy anybody but Chris I was just at a part Chris Kyle had an open bar

Party at the US UCI World Championships in Glasgow like it was like a Red Bull party open bar it was [ __ ] awesome shout out Chris yeah shout out Chris Kyle he’s the best and just those Red Bull projects in general are yeah they go nuts I love that stuff um Red Bull

You were on monster that’s a that’s a topic and that I want to talk I was researching you and watching your old degrip video I saw the monster hat and I was like oh yeah like you were on Monster how did that start how does it’s actually a crazy story how that even

Came to be um uh Jamie Beswick was doing Monster demos with uh Pierre Luke gong and the skater yeah and they were both on they were both on monster he owns Pier plg oh no that’s I was thinking I was thinking no plg mind disregard that

And uh plg and uh best’s like yeah we’re doing uh monsters doing vert demos at the o to music festival one of the biggest music festivals in England in Hyde Park in London and they didn’t an announce her are you down I’m like hell yeah so we go announced hung out partied

With um was that so all the monster people no no no it was just a monster demo and uh met the um the uh the one of the dude the head dudes of monster and I told best see if he can make something happen cuz I was doing all the a lot of

Contests at that time yeah and uh next thing I know boom I’m my monster they sent me uh everything it was so sick it was like what did they send you how get like when I started out when my when I first started and they they signed me as um

Like a personality kind of like how dingo was because they knew that I was doing all these different um BMX contest so like might as well have the announcer deck in Monster so they started me at like $1,000 a month and uh but then they

Would fly me to events like the mo Moto GP like I met like uh Valentino Rossi like crazy crazy experiences that I never would have had doing anything else I can’t even imagine like if I added up all the trips and then um we did a bunch

Of fun trips like monster trips and it was always cool because everybody was sponsored by monster at the time you know like all the big Riders Scotty goler uh Jamie um yeah and it was crazy that uh I did it for that long for almost 10 years a little over 10 years

Yeah it’s [ __ ] awesome was that your first no I am curious this is this is the catfish episode okay technically uh what was the first like Taste of the industry or like the first sponsor that took you places like first sponsor uh like a a first free stuff that I ever

Got was shout out Scott Town back in Michigan uh he was a rep for etes and he we would ride together at um some of the skat parks there in Detroit thought about him in a long time he G he’s doing that gryo BMX right now I don’t know if

You follow gy Stoke yeah he kills he’s an absolute like treasure for BMX and um he hooked me up with shoes and then from that that put me in contact with POA and then that relationship started and I got hooked up through uh through Edney but the first Bike Company would have been

DK I uh when this would have been 200 two I want to say 2021 there 2001 2002 I was working at a uh um trucking company and right at College I got a job working for a trucking company I sent my resume graduated 98 sent my resume to

Every single BMX company CU I’m like oh somebody’s got a job somewhere that they can like use somebody with a college degree didn’t hear back from anybody so I got a real job start working but still kept riding the whole time and then um jumped around a a bunch got a job

Working for Ford moved to Michigan that’s when the whole when I hooked up with uh with Scott town and the the ety thing happened and um pause on hooked up with Scot Town thing I was going to make a joke I was like no I’m gonna let that one go I’m G

Let that one go so then I moved uh and then my homie got me a job working for a Japanese Wheel manufacturer back in Ohio oh SP the spinner Wheels no no no no no this no this is a car company and uh so I moved back and this when I moved to

Southern Ohio like moved like Cincinnati area Mason area this when I met um well actually when I came down from my drug test cuz I was living in Detroit came down to Ohio from my drug test and my my final interview I didn’t have any place

To stay in Southern Ohio it was me and my dog and the only person I knew was Dave Jacobs so yeah so I hit up Dave I’m like hey I’m in I’m in Cincinnati can I come stay at your house and he’s like yeah no problem was this the dog that

Bit people’s faces yes shout out to Simone burning in Hell Sim but uh so I come down Sorry Brad Sims sorry Chris Doyle sorry Ryan nist sorry uh got them if you’ve been bit by my dog drop a comment a Pokemon I go so Dave is like oh yeah you can come

Stay with me um the so the first night I come to stay with Dave is the first day I met Micah cray and Quinn sembling both of them were riding michah was working for DK so uh it was a Friday so Dave Jacobs was like oh uh the owner of DK

Has these uh he has all this land he does a haunted hay ride uh and we do shows every weekend you should come out and and hang out with us and ride if you want so I was like bet so I went and uh we did like four shows and I rode flat

Land in one of them they didn’t have a flatlander I rode uh I flipped the box to the deck CU I was trying to impress everybody go um and then I announced one of the contest and then at at that show Billy danek shout out to danek family

Came up to me and he’s like yo what what’s going on I was like oh I just I’m from Michigan I’m uh I’m hoping get a job down here he’s like well if you uh if you want to do some shows with us let

Me know I end up getting the job go to DK started doing shows with them they gave me a frame long story short Micah ended up leaving DK as a team manager Billy hired me as the stunt team manager so that would have been like 2002 and

Then I started touring with uh with DK and then the next year or the year after that it was uh that’s when I really started getting busy doing contest like X Games all that stuff what was your first announcing gig was it that that one no my first my first big announcing

Gig was X Games um but my first actual announcing gig would have been like we had like local contests we had a skate park back in Youngtown Section 8 shout out Section 8 skate park um lot of my first yeah it’s follow section a skate park also there’s a guy on Instagram

Called fuu Baca that really like captures embodies that whole era of BMX like uh little devil um Square One uh like how many how many kids these days actually know what fo news and Abbas are that’s a good question r k spines I don’t know many of I think

Bobby’s demographic there’s ABA put a Fufu put a Fufu in the in the chat if you could do a fuo there you go we’re gonna see Morgan Wayne wants to know how many viewers can Foo better yet AA well if it’s a foo it’s got to be on a back rail but abub

Is wonder what you learned first you probably learn ABA first I learned bbus first I no cuz I I started learning uh fo news on the mini ramp back home and I would tap under the coping on the face oh yeah and I would work my way up to

The coping and pop back in but that being said I could do like Abbas on like like a little flat ledge like right up to it like a curb and hot back you know so I don’t I don’t know which one came was growing up chicken of the egg it was

A chicken by the way for you what was your first [ __ ] those names come from by the way uh ABA ABA Ron Wilkerson invented it so he just called that I don’t know why do we know why they said he texted you yesterday yeah he’s not going to

Respond get you should try you should at least try try text yo what’s up with the name of know put my phone old I put my phone away imagine FaceTiming Ron Wilkerson on K’s podcast that’d be amazing we loo and I were just talking about Ron oh that’s Le Road for yeah and

Everybody would give him [ __ ] like two hips two hips whack blah blah blah but he stuck through just so you see like show show the people that I wasn’t capping I hadm he do be talking wrong he do be talking wrong oh you are face go text

Him show the camera this could be this could be he just showed his old number you got to blur that out holy crap we got ra wiers holy we’re doing a we’re doing a podcast right now and your and your name just came up hi Ron Wilkerson how’s Ron Wilkerson

Living oh you know another day welcome to the show dude welcome to the show where are you at you look you said the the the P the video you sent me was beautiful are you in Brazil Costa Rica that’s my in Costa Rica or C Santa Cruz

Oh Santa Cruz oh we’re going to be up there soon we’ll be up there in like a month hey oh yeah you guys got to see one of the bestm photos fact drop drop a comment in the chat if you know who David vanderp is all right let’s

Let’s get to this okay we’ve got we’ve got some questions for you Ron we’re phoning a friend yes absolutely screen grab it screen grab now Cafe screen grab is that Vic Murphy you can see it hold on yeah oh that is by far like that is probably

My favorite photo of all time right there everyone grew up with that photos spend time and space those photos okay we got some questions for so we’re talking about trick names and the trick abubaca came up and we hear that you may you may have named this trick and we’re

Trying to figure out what the heck does it mean well good question I like that answer just that that’s one of the benefits of making up tricks as you get to name them was there any thought behind it or was it just a crazy word no no actually

That a good story behind it because we were on tour that summer with and Spike was with us all summer and he he was calling uh Big Bill the the manager guy from Haro he would call him abbaka which means tribal leader in African oh okay wow so we’ve been doing tribal leaders

All these times we’re GNA do a tribal leader in our show tomorrow and then on that on that tour is when I I came with the idea of this trick and I’m like abubaca that’d be a cool name for the trick and then it all happen I I did it

First time ever in a show like like most of my tricks yeah yeah that’s amazing as that as freestyle as it should be that is freestyle what advice do you have to All the Young Guns out there that want be shredding it when they’re your age um don’t stop that’s right that’s

Real it’s 100% damn good advice use it or lose it hell yeah that’s how I’m rolling baby I’m want to put you in contact with Bobby because I bet Bobby would love to do a straightup podcast with you just just you cuz the three of

Us are here and we had the question I saw that you texted me yesterday the other day and I said let’s let’s call them and get the answer by the way hi Ron I’m Bobby this is Bobby to meet you man you’re a [ __ ] Legend where where

Are you guys we’re in Arizona we’re in Phoenix but I’ll hit you up we’re going to be up your way doing shows uh probably another month or so so I would love to catch up I will do that I will do that on behalf of everybody on this podcast

Thank you for everything you’ve done in BMX and freestyle for real yes we will insert insert clip right now of Ron Wilkerson riding the mball and that that’s something else they love to see this podcast I love you very much I’ll talk to you soon B

Bye that was epic that was epic see he was going to answer that’s crazy I I definitely did cuz a lot of times like always where you’re supposed to be but not to get like sappy or sad or emotional but um it’s crazy to think

That the first time I I saw BMX was the movie rad the first time I I actually saw people doing tricks and that man is in the movie rad and when I was 12 years old if you were in the theater and you would have been like yeah when you’re an

Old man you’re just going to be able to call that guy on your phone and talk to him I would have thought you were absolutely crazy and that’s the best part about BMX where it’s like such a worldwide thing but it’s such a small community dude that’s how I feel about

Hoffman right same thing the first time I ever saw it was that show and now like I’m like really good friends with Matt and like I ride for him yeah and it’s it’s amazing it’s pretty dope this little industry man cuz I can’t think of

A like NBA you have to be like one of the players in order and even then they have like this hierarchy [ __ ] but it seems like everybody in BMX including the Legends are [ __ ] down to earth and yeah it’s like it’s like we talked about the other day where it’s like

We’re still all just little kids riding bikes yeah and it’s I think the camaraderie that you you find in BMX is is unmatched and the reason that is is where it’s like if the five of us were nobodies and we were in Kazakhstan and we went to a skate park and there was

Two dudes that rote BMX not even speaking the language You’ be like oh these guys ride like they see the bikes they know you ride you’re one of us like it’s it’s not like no he doesn’t have a cult frame I ain’t talking to him no

It’s not easy to be a BMX rider like he got the shadow you have to struggle like to start riding it’s it’s not cheap it’s not easy most kids when you start riding you know pre-teen or teenagers your parents don’t want you to do that you’re

An outcast so when you you stick with it and you see somebody else you’re like oh hell yeah like you got bloody socks too my guy let’s go exactly Shin yeah exactly everyone let see your sh you’re really a BM yeah let me see your shins

That’ be a great name I I should start a podcast called let me see your shins my my are real M stories I’ve seen I’ve seen the bone in my leg I don’t know I can’t even count how many times I’ve seen are has some gnarly gnarly injuries

Let’s never that was just picturing talking to those kids the random kids at the skate park or whatever and you don’t speak the language but you can go abubaca you can say and they’re like tribal leader and we’re like dude that’s going to be a

Trick what if you just go to some remote island and there’s just a big statue of guy doing stalling on a big wooden bik they just have they just have the picture of of uh vuler on the cover of ride on the big boulder yeah yeah yeah

Just the F on the boulder the on the boulder the 50th issue was it did Ron have something to do with Fufu too or is that a different story do you know no I was I was like I don’t know see Fufu is a weird I don’t I’m not sure about the

History of Fufu because I know that like technically um Ron harl was doing Fufu on Kick turns where he would go to the top pull the break on the the seam and turn around so technically would be a fuu but also they called it a kick turn

Dis Hicks how those kickers didn’t flip over when all that weight was that’s a good question Fu that would be a question for Eddie Roman Eddie Roman’s another one that would be a great podcast dude I need assistance you guys know way more than I do you guys come

Back and then I’ll have them on you know doesn’t Edo still cruising around yeah we rode with him not that long ago long int one time at at inner bike uh Bill Allen was was in the BMX the I call the the section the BMX section to Inner

Bike I always call that the slums the slums and uh I missed the slums dud the slums were what’s up the gun’s over in the corner with all those candy rappers like I would love to see that but uh he was so Bill Allen the dude who who the

Actor that was in rad thatout out to B played the character crew Jones He like sign in autographs at this table and everyone got lined up and and I I had gotten up there no it was it was before I went got in line I actually um bumped into

Uh oh brain fart CT you just said his name Dave Chappelle no no the Richard prior this is this is terrible yeah CTE is kicking in right now um Tom Hanks oh fola thank you gosh lit I thought it was like I literally was like how did it

Disappear out of my brain that fast I bumped into Eddie and I was like oh man you g to get crew Jones’s autograph cuz I obviously I know he did all like most of the bike riding for that right he goes I am crew Jones and I was just

Like I definitely like poked him on purpose CU I knew and he’s like I am cre that’s amazing but then I did go get I did go get in line and get the autograph and when I got up there uh Bill Allen was like let me guess I’m the reason you

Ride bikes and I said no actually not at all and he was like uh and I was like thanks for the autograph oh my gosh I but that also for that was the first year that I had done I did the um Nora cup Awards and I could

Imagine that like for Bill Allen being there like he’s never been that enamored in his life right by by 30 and 40y old man what a crazy that movie was like how many years has he been rolling off of that one for real though what was his followup film you

Know rad 2 back then was that like the lifetime special no rad two no he did R there was another one there was a rad too I’m here to lie R too no rad to is coming out soon could you see another movie well there’s been a couple

Kind of like spin-offs I know that uh Joel Moody did one I was just going to say didn’t Joel do something yeah yeah I want to say it’s called Break was the what was the one what was the one with uh Chris uh Scott John’s that was a good

One ride I think that one called ride yeah yeah that was good that was a good movie never seen it yeah there’s a I mean there’s still lots of potential there and Furious that’s his movie yeah yeah Scot Sean yeah yeah what do you guys want to

Talk about now let’s talk about how this hole got in this sweatshirt okay okay Morgan Morgan brought this up so this is going to segue he had the same shirt on too I know going to segue into into into the next this is we’re going to get into this segment what Morgan’s

Talking about is going to segue into the next segment so Morgan Wade take it away I’m going to set the microphone down why do I tell I want you to tell the story tell the story so like we’re we’re at this dude JT’s house down in San An out Black Rifle coffee Black

Rifle coffee baby we’re at JT’s house hanging out and we’re outside Chase Hawk were you there coach yeah coach was there obviously I was there I remember it CTE and catfish and um was Dan was Dane inside or Dane didn’t go with the D was with us didn’t he he watch this the

Dan was with we so anyway we’re all hanging out outside and Chase is like standing there he’s got a beard they it’s like JT has this dope bar it’s like a little indoor like bar in in in the house that wesle built for him Nate wle built and it’s

Dude it’s it’s awesome in there but so everyone’s having some drinks where we’re hanging out and literally like Chase is like hey he’s like tell me to film like film this I’m doing nothing I’m sitting he’s sitting in a like a a beach chair I’m doing nothing Chase sitting but you were

Looking at the Sterling Chase has a little thing in his hand that’s burning right like and he’s like and he just flicks it on him and he doesn’t see and it lands right here on his arm and I was and I’m filming this we might be able to insert the

Clip I’m filming this just like like this from the chair across the way and it dude it was it was smoldering for a while and I was like he’s not going to feel that he going to catch fire and then out of nowhere he’s like he’s like he starts screaming like he screams

And then he lost his mind because I mean his shirt got a hole in it and this is his favorite hoodie that his girlfriend gave him and through through the shirt into this VAP bathing ape shirt which apparently is expensive I I’m unfamiliar with goes right now I paid $120 for this

Shirt oh [ __ ] so it burned through through the sweatshirt through the $120 shirt and he loses his mind credit card receipt from when I bought this shirt in China literally less than a month ago this sh was $150 Jase I’m [ __ ] pissed now we’re like an hour from our Airbnb

And he’s like I’m getting an Uber back he I’m freaking out you owe me you owe me $150 I’m going through all my old text M scre me because I filmed it I was an accomplice when I was like he just told me to film I didn’t know he was going to

Do I’m going through my old text with Chase to see if there’s anything I can put online to get him in trouble he there wasn’t anything mad this Ste door here and Chase is just like like shut up anyway he he finally calmed down and and uh I felt kind of bad because

Apparently I was involved with it so I made him a little like a a little piece of leather I tooled this little leather logo there for seed it on there logo it’s custom Morgan does a lot actually talk about that Morgan’s got does a lot of really cool

We’ll get there we’ll get there but like yeah so like in the end I think the shirt’s actually worth more money now because now it’s got a sweet tag made out a Le by and it’s done by an X Games medalist your your 2023 X Games silver

Medals Big Air by the way that’s [ __ ] nuts actually the Big Air [ __ ] is so crazy dude and we I want him to talk about this stuff but we’re going to we can segue into the other stuff later dude oh it’s the best dude you’re flying

You can fly with no effort you can do a 15t air with zero effort no no anybody can do it now where you land is another story actually Landing anyone can get 15t over coping if you just if you roll in don’t hit your brakes jump and don’t

Pump and you just go straight you’ll go 15 body to I made my stomach tingle like a roller coaster when he’s talking about it for me I like I I always work my way up to it and get comfortable on the quarter I don’t do any tricks for like

Two days when we have practice for like a week I’ll like two days straight I’ll TS that’s it on the quarter like I’m getting comfortable with this thing and then by the end you know by the contest time I’m actually somewhat comfortable like going as fast as I can at it on

That ramp I don’t blame me for not doing tricks dude like this if I could get away with doing if I could get away with only doing one-handed tables in that contest you would only see me do one-handed tables best 27 and a half feet a 27 and 1/2t quarter Pike quarter

Pike yeah that’s we’ll Round Up to 28 it’s 27 and A2 it’s it’s yeah it’s it’s uh first one was like 25 with 2 and 1/2 feet of vert on it I want to know like how you got introduced to it like when did it become a thing that’s that’s I

Got I got a there’s a story behind that yeah so um in 2003 they had it set up for the first time for the skateboarders at the Staples earlier than I would have thought the Staple Center it was 2003 um Danny Way set it up and they did like a

Demo on it and it was either that year or the next year uh rooftop will have to chime in if if he’s that but hurt of me not knowing which year it was uh but he wrote it and killed it he did like like

Three 360s over it and and like he he he just rote it with them and did like part of the little um the demo and it was awesome and then they had like an actual contest the next year and then for skateboarding but no no bikes on it and

Then in 2006 was the first year that they had a BMX competition on it and it was literally they had nobody to ride it because who rides that who rides that and like I was like yeah okay I don’t want to ride that yeah and uh POA was

The team the team manager for ety John POA house shout out John POA the man um one of my favorite humans he was in my wedding also by the way um he was like hey bring your full face to X Games and I didn’t know about Mega the megga stuff

Yet and I was just like bring my full face I just thought he wanted me to bring it for some photo up or something I didn’t know I you’re going to use it I was like okay and and like uh so I had it with me and we get there and I start

Hearing about mega ramp Open qualifier thing and I was just like oo that thing like who would do that right and they only had three guys that were going to ride it but they needed a full lineup to have a contest right so they had Kevin Robinson who has obviously had ridden

Stuff like that they had uh Alan cook who had ridden the the thing at pointx a bunch he’ done a bunch of stuff on that and then Chad kegy and Chad had ridden I’m sure he rode the pointx thing but he also did the Boom Boom Huck Jam where

They had the big jump that went over the whole vert ramp into like a 20 foot quarter that quarter is actually the quarter at Elliot Sloan’s house the big 20 foot quter that’s that’s the quarter from that from that setup so that so Elliot’s B Elliot’s setup is pretty much

What they had for the hook Jam right um I never got to ride that but or actually I wish I wish I had but it didn’t but um so they got these three dudes lined up to ride it and then they literally said hey it’s open practice anyone that wants

To ride it go ride it if you want to be in the contest you’re in that was it you literally had to say yeah I’ll do it and uh so POA is like yeah bring your helmet you got to you got to try this right up

Your I think this is up your alley you should do this and I was like I was like nah BR nah and that was the same year that Scotty won park it was down they had the big roll in with the big huge hips and stuff and I did the pocket airs

So like I was more focused on Park at that point in time but po was like no no you got to try it and I was like dude I was like I’ll look at it so we go over there and I went up to the top and I poo

Was with me we get up there and I literally walked up to the roll went nope and I walked back and I went down the elevator and I was like I’m good dude finally heck no and what are you talking about you’re crazy and like literally so he so POA being POA he’s

Like bro just drop in on it one time and I won’t ask you to do it again just just once if you drop in once and you don’t like it cool but you got to at least see if you like it or not and this is what I

Love about PO he he he knew what was best for me oh yeah I’d gone down by now and I was like all right fine I’ll I’ll drop in once but I was like this I I’m not feeling this and I literally got up there and I was

Like for like a while a hot minute and then finally I was like okay we’re going and I just dropped in and just I knew if I didn’t hit my brakes I would clear it so I was like okay I’m not going to go in the hole if I just Coast off this

Thing cool went flying over this thing and it was like landed and then I hit the quarter and I didn’t do anything and I did like a 12T air wow with literally no effort like if you if you’re in like a mini ramp and you drop in on one side

Like a Sixt mini you drop in on one side you roll the other side and you just kind of Goo like right at coping just turn with no effort that’s what I did but I was 12T over coping on a 27 and I was like

This is the best thing ever and I oh dude I was like floored I was like this is amazing and I literally went right to the elevator went back up and just it was like oh dude over and over and over overa knows best and then yeah

Absolutely POA knows best that’s why I’m saying B knows best and I was just like this is the bad they had to Prime when the time was up they had to Prime me off the ramp they’re like no no you got to stop I was like no I want to go another

Run this is so good my God getting paid anymore I was like at that point in time I I didn’t I didn’t flip it I was just like yeah I don’t know about flipping it I just was jumping it straight and doing superm’s and stuff like that and then

Just hitting the quarter and doing tables that’s like literally all all I could do on it right and then come Contest time and I know koi will have plenty to say about this in a few minutes so after I’m done you can you can say your piece on this if you want

To maybe maybe not but allegedly um he was he was told he could not ride this contest but um literally he’ll get into it literally contest comes around and they’re like all right everyone that signed up and it was four Dudes I was the next I was the only one that

Like did it after riding practice like that they allowed to do it I’ll say but um so there was only four of us and I got fourth place it was sick but like I I wasn’t going to flip I wasn’t going to flip or do anything like

That the other dudes were going nuts like kegy was doing flip whips and like they were all going crazy Robinson was doing like 15t flares on the quarter it was it was Bonkers and uh I think I did like a super Whip and it was like one of

The biggest super whips I think I’ve ever done just straight over the jump and then just aired and then I 360 it but it was actually more of a 450 yeah but I rode out of it I like over corked it and then it just kept going but like

From there like obviously the next year came around and because I had ridden that year they were like oh yeah come back and write it again so I wrote it again and I think they had an actual uh they had a couple more guys jump in on

It on the next year it was inside Staples the next time and then they had like an open qualify an actual qualifying event and like Gary Young wrote it like nasty and a bunch of dudes like all rode like the qualifier but um and I think that was the year

Mera got in did it but it just downhill from there man I’ve been addicted to it ever since POA try it last time I rode the fullsize one was 2019 because that was the last the last year they had it yeah did I hear something like they’re

Not doing the fullsize one anymore is that uh well they they did last last year and the year before they did it at Elliott’s house which is more of a it’s it’s smaller like there’s the mini Mega is like a 30 foot jump that’s like what

They have at Woodward East it’s like a 30 foot jump to 18t quarter and Elliots I want to say is 30 or 35 do you know how far it is coach all the Gap is it 40 I don’t think it’s 40 20 it’s like it’s

Shorter I think I want to say they made it a little bit bigger cuz they added a little bit to the rolling I think it’s like 30 or 35 and then the quarter is that 20 quarter from the hug jam and they made it a little bit wider but then

There’s one coming back so you jump it hit the court and then there’s like a long and low it it works really good for skate not as good for bikes in my opinion but it’s I mean it’s a backyard ramp like Elliot’s going to build something and it’s awesome I’d be stoked

On it if I had it and that goes into an 18t quarter at the bottom so you kind of get two hits which is it’s pretty cool but it also UPS the difficulty because you have to land good on the quarter the first quarter so you’re kind of like I

Want to do a crazy trick and maybe not land right and then only get half a run you know so it’s kind of like there’s a bit of a strategy involved to it yeah uh so definitely I’ve heard that they’re they might move forward with a setup

Similar to that next year or I really hope they go back to the full size because that thing is so fun what’s your favorite memory from all the big air [ __ ] that you’ve done like what’s your best moment best moment would I mean probably honestly let’s

See in where it was in Staple Center I think the the highest I’ve ever gone was in in Staple Center it was in uh it was actually in my run um I did a tabletop I had it was when I rode for Amp Energy so I had all the goofy like

They had like the chest protector thing like outside and no it was inside and I saw a picture of myself wearing like the the chest thing and I was like absolutely not that looks ridiculous and I have not worn one since I saw the

Picture I was like no I can’t do it I’m not going to jump in on the football player stuff I mean whatever but like I went like I mean it was like probably close to 25t over coping can’t even imagine dude but that was probably one

Of the most fun things and then the first time I ever pulled a trip whip on it I tried that for the first time I tried a trip whip on it was actually an accident I would kind of wanted to try it and i’ been doing double whips like

Grabbing the brakes in practice and doing double whips at like 18 19 ft or whatever and contest came around so I’m like I ain’t touching the brakes we going Balls to the walls boy so I was like yeah p and I was like double Whip

And I went whip whip and I was still going up when the second one came around and I was like o this is bad cuz if I caught it I would have just kept rotating and exploded so I was like well we’re doing three so I just let it go

Again and I got to pedals and looped out and I was like it’s possible but it was my first run and then I was I wanted to get a run on the board with the double Whip and then I was like ah crap now I everyone was going to want to see the

Triple whip every time and I crash it all four runs so it’s okay it is what it is are we going to see the uh are we going to see the world record air broken by by Morgan Wade what is a world record uh the so to there’s there’s some weird

Stuff around now I mean like so Kevin Robinson has the Guinness World Record highest air 27 feet Matt Hoffman had the World Record highest air in his yard getting towed by the motorcycle at 26 and a half the 27 is highly debatable whether or not he actually went it is

Debatable I was there it was debatable I’m aware I just I absolutely love Kevin and I love his family yes R Kevin Robinson I have ultimate respect so there’s a lot of weirdness around that in the BMX world because a lot of people kind of understand what’s going on with

With what was going on with that and uh I was always like well if I just happen to go higher than 27 ft in a contest on live television it will be settled once and for all and it will be a nice one-handed invert [ __ ] yeah that

Everyone will be stoked on right so I was like all the yuck goes away and it’s just like cool heck yeah so I’ve been I tried it a bunch but I never actually got all the way up and Hoffman was actually really stoked on that idea too

What you say 25 is the highest You’ been this the highest I went yeah about 25 and then uh 25t 6 in at that height is 6 in is average it’s exponential 6 Ines to a foot the when you’re adding height to those types of airs you you have to go

So much faster to get little bit higher because we’re already going like 55 mph at the quarter pipe and it’s like you you have to increase the speed that much more to get that much more height but I know Matt went out to uh Danny Way had

Like a private facility in uh Hawaii where he had like this huge quarter I think it was a 30ft quarter with an elliptical transition and then he had like a big like a bigger wedge thing next to it that he was doing like Aon to and Matt went out there while he was

Just filming and just went straight up and straight down in the quarter and went like I’ll say it looked like 30t to me it was at least it was at least 28 plus a little bit but it was around 30 I got the I’ll find the picture we’ll insert

Picture here I might even have video we might we might be able to insert video but like right after that he like crashed and like obliterated his collar bone and got knocked out and had to go home and of course the first thing he did when he got home was ate ate his

Favorite Mexican food to see if he could still taste cuz the first time years ago when he got the went into a coma doing the high a stuff he lost his sense of taste for like over a year dude that’s so he was like I hit my head can I still

Taste stuff Matt Hoffman the bomb Matt Hoffman man bous Le Condor [ __ ] Le Condor yeah remember that the no hander in yeah did you say that on the Pod you didn’t no we were talking about trick names earlier in in France when uh in the BMX start in the ‘ 80s they called

It londor a no hander was a condor we should call it that here the Condor I’ll call it tomorrow he did a condor but it has to be like it has to be a condor no hander for it to count as a condor not like an Nathan Williams not

Like not like the grab the front pegs thing like it’s got to be out y bro I think I think I think fakey should be renamed to he’s riding backwards I like that a lot what if tricks names well they kind of do change with time you know like the

Whole Whiplash thing in England where they would call whiplashes foot jam nose picks they would call them whiplashes as opposed to in the states a whiplash is a flatland trick what if you’re rolling what if every 20 years they just change the trick names the year changes boomid be conf

Trick names are different would you what would you call a truck driver 360 Bar 360 bars side wer the [ __ ] truck that’s a trick that is a trick what is that it’s a flat land trick he just taught me about let me let me explain it I have no [ __ ] idea uh

Ins the clip of from D New York of a fck truck it’s like a death truck you know a death truck but a but a [ __ ] truck is when you step over the top do you hump the tire no you don’t hump the tire right all right he’s gone what could we

Steal So Co so koi let’s let’s sit down and talk to COI craft a little bit not Koji in on shout out to POA CU all three of us pretty much owe POA yeah thank you I don’t know boa nothing a lot I think a lot of BMX riders owe

That man a uh a deep a deep absolutely I a kid going to military school and I got a call from POA the best part about him is he’s accent he’s cute and he’s got an accent he says but W but and he likes

Boobs I mean so Ki what did you have for breakfast this morning this morning I had a sandwich I had a chicken chicken a sliced chicken sandwich with uh pepper jack cheese for breakfast yeah what time um 7 what time did you go to bed that’s unknown I don’t know I have no

Idea um insert clip of Koji trying to make it through his intro run in Hawaii insert clip of koji’s when Bobby edites he’s going to be texting me nonstop can you tell Mor to send me this clip can you time we do a show I I always am like oh nice when

Koi makes it through his intro run we have a run I can make it through the intro yeah we have we have that show is going to be epic I couldn’t tell you how many times in the show and the intro is obviously when I say hey welcome to the

Show everybody makes a noise for koi craft and then he just absolutely dies over the Box jum or like slips a pedal and just eats it well in Hawaii in Hawaii intro run they saying his name he 360s and and literally overshoots the Box front front nose in face into the

Ground breaks his whole face and wakes up like three or four days later in the hospital and the the shitty thing is obviously it happens in BMX it’s not koi’s fault these things happen but the crazy thing what sucked was it was the the kids have been waiting for this show

For a long time it’s the first the first the show hasn’t even been 20 seconds Bobby Day the show gets cancelled get did you pee yourself did you pee yourself on the floor know because allegedly allegedly there was water talk about terrifying the guy goes into a

Cardiac arrest in front of you and he pees himself but you know how in Hawaii to the viewers out there you guys know inw when somebody passes away or somebody’s uh needs good energy the culture in Hawaii is to do a paddle out surfboards they all connect together do

Flowers or whatever the poor kids in this High School thought Koji was going to die so they did a [ __ ] paddle out for him in Hawaii rip koi rip koi but coi’s okay you guys are if you’re a Hawaiian no no don’t worry I’m back baby

We are back we are back baby we are back Co take another edible allegedly allegedly what did I miss boys we were just talking about Koji good Koji things need more attention on Koji right now tell me something COI uh oh COI is a COI is an

Arms dealer also oh cool can I buy a handgun well yes I have run an 07t and it’s uh so if you don’t know what an o07 sot is well there’s the 7347 and then there’s the LM 74s these are two different no I have no [ __ ] idea what he’s talking

About no I just I just I like I like to make I like to make my uh it just means it means the company he works for can can deal and sell suppressors and NFA items National Firearms acems full autos and suppressors and short bared rifles short bared shotguns so it’s stuff it’s

Stuff that you have to essentially the you have to ask the ATF permission and pay them money to get it’s basically them trampling on the Constitution of the United States of America but well legally that’s how you can do it legally a legal plug no

Legal legal I can do a background I can do an FBI background check on you and be like you can have this now hell yeah yeah COI got all kind of guns one time Co want a bunch of money at a BMX contest and he dropped a lot of money on

Night vision goggles and rumor allegedly he was driving all around Chicago with his headlights out with the goggles on just cuz he could work back it was on the way back cuz we were like we could drive with the lights off and I had an old Ford

Windstar minivan 96 Windstar and I was like flip the lights off do they make that noise like is it they they ins clip certain certain insert that clip you’re going to be so busy with this this is going to be the hardest episode ever we don’t need to insert that clip

We we have another Rider that that that we do shows with that was staying at the house during the the last C1 event down in Texas and uh he was asleep and I have I happen to have night vision goggles also so we may or may not have made a

Video this is a redneck sandwich you’re in the middle of right here you know where you’re at you’re the salami I even got a little I even got a little knife with me right here look at this got a bottle open on everything definitely has a knife you got a knife

Look look look look I feel safe with you guys I feel I feel very safe I got another one right here we got knives everywhere man red next boys Tex they gave me a knife they gave me a knife in Texas so anyway we knife we basically took the movie

Silence of the Lambs the end of that movie where he she’s in the basement and he cuts the power and it’s like he puts on the night vision goggles and like follows her around and like touches doesn’t touch her face and we just we basically just did that while he was

Asleep and made made a funny a funny little edit he wasn’t he wasn’t very he wasn’t very excited about about it sorry does everything look all does it all look all green and [ __ ] oh yeah yeah it does I’ll I’ll I’ll show you I’ve got I’ve got some pictures

Through the the the newer stuff is like far superior to like the older the stuff I got it’s a little bit older anything I actually have you guys did you guys hear that the conspiracy theory wasn’t it’s not a conspiracy theory apparently this is hold on do you know the difference

Between a conspiracy theory and the truth what six months there it is I like that exactly a good one but I guess how many things has Alex Jones been wrong about in the last 20 years not a lot name one not a lot um originally night vision goggle or uh

The ability to see in the dark it was uh it wasn’t green it was red right and what during the test phase I forget what war it is you can look it up but um whatever it was you know how you can see in infrared with night vision goggles

With whatever they were using was red and they were being able to see in different dimensions so people that were do using the they testing these goggles they’re like freaking out cuz they’re seeing all this crazy stuff and they had to change it from being red to Green

Interesting you can look it up on the internet I saw it on the Internet it’s true got to be on the internet I saw it on the YouTubes I did the research myself I typed in red night vision don’t be doing your own research interdimensional night vision insert

Night vision school kids the newer the newer stuff is like far superior though it’s like super crisp and clear and like it’s like white white phosphorus is like some of the newer stuff it’s like it’s more of like Grays and and black tones instead of the green like classic green

You see and all the OG movies and stuff but you how it works could you explain to me a 5-year-old how night vision goggles work so it basically takes the ambient light that’s there and like amplifies it I don’t know the specific process of how it works magic maybe with

With the the green phosphorus and the white phosphorus are the chemicals that they use to essentially magnify the light and show you the picture which is why you have those different colors and it also picks up infrared light so if you ever see like in like the movies

Where like you the Navy Seals and Army Rangers running around and they’ve got like the night vision and they got the lasers on their guns you can’t see those lasers with the naked eye like if if I had I turned it on right now you

Wouldn’t be able to see it in the dark or in the light anywhere but if you put the night vision on it’s bright as day it’s a it’s a laser right so that’s infrared light so it picks up on that which is talking about dude it’s pretty epic like hog hog

Hunting at night with so sick what does an exploding P sound like insert clip yeah so allegedly allegedly allegedly I may or may not have been a part of blowing up a pig with thir 36 pounds of tannerite [ __ ] or was it 26 I think it was 36 in pig boom it it

Turned into it turned into a a it turned into a Mist it just turned into a mist and floated off basically made CR but yeah Hog Wild Boar down in down in Texas and the South like Louisiana Mississippi and stuff they’re everywhere they’re a huge problem

They’re really messing up a lot of the the indigenous stuff they’re not from America they’re from Europe people brought them over and released them so they’d have something to hunt and they just turns out they breed like crazy one Pig in one year’s time will create a hundred no it’s like

No no it’s 64 pigs so it’s like one Pig in one year will create 64 more pigs that’s aive so like I I actually one of my sponsors actually is uh is Last Shadow H hog hunting down in Temple Texas sick so like the Spiel that the

Pilot gives every time I go hunting he like don’t let any of these pigs get away because every Pig you let get away will create 64 more and the farmers are calling them like all the time fly over our crops fly over cuz they destroy crops like crazy there’s a a sweet

Potato Farm near me and where I live in Tyler and he’s got 110 acre field of sweet potatoes in one night a Sounder is what you call a herd of pigs is a Sounder of pigs a one Sounder of pigs maybe like 50 60 pigs ate literally eight Acres of sweet

Potatoes in one night wow so if you’ve got that’s like 10 10 12 nights your entire crop is from that field is gone sweet potatoes are [ __ ] good it’s like that’s that’s your livelihood right that’s it really really hurts the economy they kill other animals they kill humans it’s it’s pretty rare but

They they have tusks out of the side of their mouths that are razor sharp and they’re right about femoral artery height so like if one of them charges you and gets you you can bleed out really easily like they’ll gash you open and not to mention the infections and

Stuff really filthy but they so cute and it’s wrong to yeah it’s they stink you can smell them from like a long ways away ah not too good I’m not a real big fan of wild bore meat but I have I have this my friend Matt Bolas he owns a real

Fancy I think it’s 40 407 Kitchen in uh in Tennessee it’s a real it’s a real nice restaurant he’s the chef there um I’ll have to figure out the name make sure I got it right but he is the only person that I’ve ever had wild boar made by that was

Absolutely melt in your mouth delicious is it like a gamey yeah it’s kind of gy it just tastes like how do you how do you explain gy it’s just it’s kind of like oh Shay’s kitchen kitchen 407 no Maybe to me is like it was made out a garage sale here let me let me find it that’s interesting very but yeah it’s kind of it just it just doesn’t taste good and honestly it’s like the if you get like the little pigs like if they’re

Young they’re still kind of they have a lot of fat on them the older ones are very lean and they’re just gristly and muscle and like they just don’t have very much fat on them so they’re like the more fat that’s in meat the tastier

It is is right so like the bigger they get the more muscle they have on them essentially and less fat like one of the one of the pigs I shot a pig on my property uh last year and we butchered it and the where you get bacon from is

The belly the belly meat on on a pig and it’s like this thick on the the pigs that they raise for for meat right but because it’s all that fat that’s in there and whatnot right this thing that it was probably a 180 lb Pig this it was

That thick it was a fit Pig the belly meat was that thick and say it just doesn’t taste that great but like yeah he probably does chef chef Bolis he knows how to do it cuz he made it and man you bite into that thing and it just

Melts in your oh so good that lean Pig probably is so lean cuz he does Pig lotes Dude wow but there’s your one Zinger that’s all you got that was my Zinger for the day I’ve been watching a bunch of standup comedy preparing for this oh yeah which

One no not really we we’ve been watching a lot of kill Tony at the houseon shit’s hilarious that the first time I saw that show that’s yeah it’s amazing they’re brutal dude it’s nuts yeah I think that’s why they like go up there to do

That like so they get roasted at the end yeah that’s why I think I like I’m hesitant to do it I would love to do it but I think I’d be scared of getting roasted because it’s so easy to roast me cuz I’m little and I look like I look

Like Cat Williams yeah the white cat Williams um bring what else is going I believe it’s 404 kitchen tenness no yellow guy shout out 404 kitchen get your pig lotes in today pig lotes pig lotes we covered a lot what else 44 kitchen Nashville Tennessee cool chef chef chef Matt Bolis yeah 404

Kitchen we’ll put it up on the screen 404 kitchen dude oh man yeah definitely his food everything he makes is unbelievable yeah that’s a it’s an art dude cooking and I’ve killed pigs with him oh yeah we’ve gone hunting together bonding speaking of killing pigs can we

Can we go to Mount Rushmore yeah I love this I I’m a f a big fan of this it’s like I I’m a big I love to he going you want to just do the the standard podcast questions and get out of here we can 807

All right um so like [ __ ] it we’ll go right to Mount Rushmore I usually have a couple but Morgan Wade who’s your BMX Mount Rushmore and this isn’t like a objectively true thing it’s like your your four riders that you’ve loved and okay four M four I get it now I get

It bring into this I’ll go with cuz you could have you could have different answers because you could have like current or like growing up I’ll give you like the growing up the greats growing up uh for me it was Matt Hoffman Dave Meera um and then honestly like I I

Always loved Lee ramsdell’s writing back in the day and shoot who number number four be good grief you can’t go wrong with Van correct yeah you cannot go wrong with van home like those dud like I’m G I’m going to add another face to Mount Rushmore Nate wessell he’s was a huge

Influence on my writing like if you like if you just watch the types of like transfers and gaps I do and then immediately watch like et’s forward Nate wles part you’ll be like oh little Morgan must have watched that hell yeah that’s yeah little Morgan watched

That over and over and over and over yeah man yeah yeah that’s a pretty good amount Rush what about current I’m curious current I mean like it’d be like Dennis Anderson and let’s see man I’m trying to think of of of dudes that like I I’m trying to think I mostly I mostly

Just do like shows these days well man that that is that’s really tough I would have to I would I would probably have to think about that a little bit more to to really get a legit list of who I would go denn definitely on the list hands down Reynolds yeah I

Mean the dude’s a video game everything he does is mindblowing he had like a clip he posted just the other day like his wrist is jacked up or something so he’s just you know he’s taking it easy chilling but it’s like yeah and like oh

My gosh it’s just like dude it’s a video game that that guy so fun to watch absolutely like if anybody says differently StreetWise they don’t they don’t know what they’re talking about and he makes it all look good very big Jason Watts fan [ __ ] yeah me too Watts

Like you can’t go wrong Watts you say my queen Maki means my balls in French Maki lick on her I thought you were saying my queen queen oh man um shoot other than that that’s three that’s three I got one more I got one more hm H it’s definitely going to it’s definitely going to be Probably someone in that fast and loose crew man they’re all so good about just the whole crew can can they be fast and loose can be one head one body just the I’ll take Jason and my last and we’ll just say fast and loose boom shout out

To Paul Dennis Garrett and fast and loose that’s that’s fire I like that a lot yeah fast and loose is special man that’s that’s a their that new video is amazing yeah they’re good they make it look so fun where do you before we move

On to coi’s mount Rush where do you like consume your uh BMX these days are you like how much of your algorithm is BMX on Instagram if if any because a lot of people most of it actually is there’s a lot of BMX on on my Instagram that’s

That’s probably where I see most most stuff these days I don’t really uh I don’t really go on like online to websites and look up well I I do watch watch a lot of YouTube as well so I mean yeah I I’ll I’ll pop up uh edits when

They come up if if you know someone’s talking about or I see a snippet on how it has to be talked about or shared by people that you it’s not I definitely much prefer like the uh DVD video days where it’s like yo the new video is

Dropping and it’s like a year later but it’s like boom you get it you finally get it you buy it and you wear it out uh I definitely missed that um because now more so it’s like whoever had the best part in the video there people are only

Going to watch that one section right they’re only gonna watch that one part and not the whole video whereas when you’re putting the DVD and you just let it play and you see everybody’s Parts even if okay maybe it’s not as good as that but you’re still you’re still

Seeing it and you get to know it the same way we used to read the magazines back in the day like you I would read cover to cover the lbmx magazines and then I go back and look at the pictures you know like less quantity and I maybe

Not even like there’s so much [ __ ] now and it’s all yourin where going where you’re getting youro as well I remember um around the time that like edits were starting to become a thing like you know social media posts and whatnot were starting to become a thing

Um was it Josh Perry I think did like a double whip drop in off of like a roof into like a grass bank or something like that sounds it was Jos Perry and I was like I I remember like commenting on it and being like yo like and I didn’t mean

Any disrespect at all it was amazing clip but I was like why would you waste that on social media and now it’s not why wouldn’t you save that for and his response was epic he was like I know I’m not filming for anything like and I I I

Was really stoked in this clip and I again I wasn’t trying to like be a downer or anything I was like dude that was so amazing like that deserves more than a social media post and uh I don’t think he took it the wrong way or anything but he’s like I wasn’t filming

Anything so he put it out and I was like dude it awesome um but like that for example that was literally like boom it was everywhere for like a week and then it was gone yeah and if that was in a video part that is like immortalized in

That video part I mean like holy crap like look at criminal mischief van Homan criminal mischief right like the manual down that ledge with the big drop on the one side the manual down the handrail down the St like like all those things the little like quick manual to Gap to

Double set like the Derek dusters all those things are like ingrained in my brain because I’ve seen them so many times those clips so many times and it’s just like that’s BMX you know imagine those being just Instagram clips that you scroll past it’s like we would have

No idea they even existed right now everybody forgets yeah so it’s like bing bong and then you have like a lot of guys coming up and this is a little bit off topic but you have a lot of dudes that will put out a banger a little short section or something and everyone

Talks about them for like a month a day what however long until it’s the algorithm pushes it out and no one’s seeing it anymore and then it’s like you got these people that they got like just shoved into the spotlight and there was like yeah this is sick that’s awesome

And then it’s gone and then they’re just like yo like what the heck man so then everyone’s like trying to chase that rather than like working up to it and achieving it you’re just you get dosed with it and then you want to chase it like a drug almost it’s a little bit

Just different you know and it’s cool I mean I I love it like it’s still like BMX is still awesome and it’s just it’s just so different than it used to be and like again I’m not hating on current state of BMX but it’s just so different

And like I’m in love with that what I grew up with everyone kind of is I think but I also love the the new stuff too so wild how the internet shifted everything yeah COI who’s your Mount Rushmore Mount Rushmore is a American land Mark inth [Laughter]

Dakota but uh no I mean M mine would probably be your your standard for any any mid School Rider you know Matt Hoffman Joe Rich uh Taj um jiron obviously obviously there’s a big influence on my my riding style and the way I ride why did you have to

Say Taj and Joe rich now I feel like I missed oh that’s that’s that’s good my hum too that’s a good mid School answer you only get four with rush I didn’t think about it long enough okay but I don’t I don’t is I don’t think about

Anything we know this Off Freestyle for me all right so that’s like all time what about what about modern day riters who are you watching right now that you’re stok well also U like the people I grew like so I grew up with a very large like professional BMX vert crew

And like like Bob Cole Jimmy Walker Brian do the guy invented the candy bar like there’s hell yeah a there’s a history that like brought me into the world where I literally was going to the skate park when I was a kid and I was like oh this is cool like because there

Was some Trails by my house that were kind of famous uh um like some of the props guys would always come down there and film stuff where they they’d hang out like props was in the next town over in um Glenn um what is it Where’d you

Grow up so I grew I grew up in Addison Illinois and it’s a Northwest suburb of Chicago um and uh props is an elg gr Village like right down the like maybe two times over and like we had a set of trails and there was like another big

Set of trails that were like there for forever there was a there was a few like professional BMX Racers that that grew up in our area and like had trails that were were like legit Trails yeah um but uh so yeah so so this whole crew kind of

Brought me into this and uh my dad passed when I was 13 and I literally was just dropped off at the skatepark at scrap skat Park in uh in Hoff Hoff stat Illinois shout out scrap shout out scrap skate park it’s it was a staple in the

Mid School BMX everything like all the old BS contest to and until like the last day was like that props Road fools that rode through there yeah um rocking Road fools to be to stand at my house for a week before Rock and Roads Rock and Roads dude um modern writers COI do

You pay attention to any of them uh yeah I mean the obvious was Dennis Anderson I I knew him when he was little just around of whips on the on the BT resi just like what who who is this little like 16-year-old kid but I mean even

Before that like we we always came over to this mini ramp that um like when I lived in Ben Snow’s backyard shout out Ben Snowden uh we had Ben’s backyard and then we like go to all the different mini ramps in the area and stuff and uh just see young Dennis shreding that’s

Fire yeah that that was pretty wild cuz I knew right off the B I was like this is gonna be the dude like this dude there’s no doubt in my mind this guy like rides and like has that passion yeah first time I ever saw Dennis ride

He was 14 years old at the Claremont YMCA skate park and that was back when they had like the box jump Rhythm Section to the one side and then there was like a quarter with like a bank on the side like 10 ft this way he hit the

Box going full speed and did a double whip transfer like over like the road into the wall like and landed at the top 14 14 dude I was like whoa so good who’s this who’s this guy light him out of that contest scene man what were you doing at 14 [ __ ] me

Man I was like I was flatland I was riding flat Landing too I was also eating glue let’s go eat paint chips as a kid something who’s your Mount Rushmore cfish easily easily that guy that was on the phone that’s why it was crazy that we we talked to him Ron Wilkerson if

People don’t know WR like for because for me I got into BMX in like late 80 6 887 and back then if you if you were into BMX and you went and got a BMX bike the next purchase you made were Leathers you had a leather jersey and a leather

Like racing Leathers that’s what everybody wore that was the cool thing to do you had your safety gear every contest if you look at any the nut Cup on your face I had one I definitely had one I I got a I got a helmet from from

Old like motorcycle helmet from um from Goodwill and I painted all this crazy [ __ ] on it and then I had like a little I ordered one from Frankfurt but uh if you look at any footage from a contest from 1980 pretty much the Inception of BMX

Contest for 84 85 86 87 88 every single major contest Pro would have uh Jersey on and um and Leathers on even if they weren’t sponsored by that company baby and that was the thing and then Ron Wilkerson came on the scene and he was just this out thinking outside of the

Box he started his own company two hiip and he was the first one to be like yo I’m not wearing those that that crap I’m going to wear shorts in invert contest and the craziest thing about Wilkerson is that I remember watching and you guys could watch this it’s called the Sako

AFA um championships it was the national championships it was in 1987 it it was in uh in California in the Vel drone and uh I remember seeing it on a VHS tape we would run it all the time and they had uh four uh they had the the ramp and

Flatland that’s all it was there was no there was four quarter pipes eight full quarter pipes 6 feet wide and it was uh Wilkerson black Mike Dominguez and Josh White in the finals you can watch it on TV but I remember watching that at like 12 years

Old and even at 12 years old you you’re very accustomed to seeing people get interviewed for sports right what whatever it is is it football baseball we America we’ve seen that [ __ ] and on this interview you can see this on the on the video uh the reporter is interviewing Brian blether whose

Teammates with Ron Wilkerson and they’re also competing against each other in the finals and she’s sitting there with the microphone talking going back and fourth with Brian black there Ron Wilkerson is in the background pretending she’s interviewing him and he’s just like pretending to answer her questions and

My mind was blown because at 12 years old I was like this is like this is cool to do in BMX like it’s cool to [ __ ] around and like mess with your friends and I was so drawn to BMX because yo your head tube’s cracked you better fix that and I was so

Drawn to BMX because of like something like that where I was like oh this this ain’t like regular Sports this is like something cool you know and um and so he’s definitely long story short Ron Wilkerson um Dave Mera for absolute for for everything who he is um Brett btz

Without a doubt Mad Dog shout out Mad Dog one of the greatest people to ever BMX bike and uh fourth I would probably say I’m going to put five uh no I I’ll keep get five I’ll keep it to four I’ll keep it to four Chase Gwyn is his name

He’s a flatlander um The Godfather of of BMX flatland anybody will tell you this is Kevin Jones Kevin invented everything but Chase is the first person to start doing switch stuff and doing um and I was really into decades Chase is the first person to do quadruple decade on a

On a flat land with no break with no no with breaks he’s done with break he’s done triples without breaks okay but uh uh so yeah so Chase yeah uh my fifth would be Drew banson yeah another just [ __ ] absolute Shredder just the [ __ ] beast I’m adding Taj to my list

Taj I get five and now my modern can I say my modern yeah my modern and this has been for a long time anybody that follows me knows this number one dein Smiley Devin [ __ ] smiley I think what he’s I’ve just been a fan of him for so

Long and I’ve always ritten free coasters for the last 74 years 75 years uh and I’ve always waited for somebody because I’ve always obviously ridden free coaster I knew that one day somebody would come along and make it look the way it’s supposed to look and

De yeah Deon is has always been that dude uh number two is Eric elstran without a doubt I think he is I mean if You Love Freestyle like having like I said there’s no wrong way to have fun on your bike and he is a perfect example of

That um what’s your favorite Eric ELR video his new one hands down his new one hands down it’s just cuz I I mean our riding style is kind of similar where we just kind of like think outside of the box use your pegs for other stuff like

And I’ve just always respected him ever since the trampoline video days way like he’s been doing this for so long he’s he’s amazing um that’s two three uh I would say danne bearley the the the guy that we ride with we watched his edit the other day I’ve been friends

With danne for for close to 20 years he is he just dropped the Ed he just got nominated for uh uh edit of the year and line of the year um he’s just he’s absolutely he’s a great human being shout out to Dane I’m going to go give

Him Michael Jordan when we get back to the house and um my fourth would be man there’s so many good Riders now um i’ been I’ve been really pumped on uh Jordan Godwin Jordan kills it uh there’s just so many good people I just I’m like

Like I said earlier like if you if you think BMX is boring or it’s not what what you it was better when you were riding you’re not paying attention cuz I’ve been doing this [ __ ] for 74 75 years and he gets better every single year for real man those are good m Rush

Yeah [ __ ] yeah I’ve been thinking about that I did have a thought a few minutes ago about like stuff that gets me stoked nowadays Tate Ross Kelly yeah yeah yeah love watching him right it’s so wildly outside the box yes yeah and awesome sure is man what’s your favorite Tate

Ros Kelly trick that comes to your head oh the the one where the wheel bounces off the walls and take exactly like what the heck yeah that and that’s BMX that’s like freestyle like I also the where he just he’ll jump on something random and like

He’ll just like ride a a log down down a hill somehow and then yeah see that’s the thing like espe when you utilize your bicycle where you like take Parts off of it who put the mail away yeah saw that dude that that kid on in that kid

From Jersey that he’s doing tricks where he’d cut his frame in half I haven’t seen that what kid from Jersey know you’re talking it’s on a shirt right it’s on a shirt I saw it on a shirt it is on a shirt yeah it’s on a

Shirt well if you guys were sitting here do you want to hear us chime in on uh on the BMX drama guess what you’re not going to get it y’all watch the whole thing for no reason I don’t give a [ __ ] about any of that yeah when was there drama what

Who I don’t know nothing about it are you out of the loop do you not know I troll a lot Co COI he’s got weed weed Wafers he’s COI take another edible it’s CBD it’s CBD dbd all right I think uh okay one more I do want

To know like I ask everybody what’s the advice you would give to either a younger version of yourself or to somebody who’s just getting into BMX and they’re a young hungry kid what do you you got two sentences to say to them what do you say keep having

Fun don’t sleep in take advantage of every moment cuz you never know what’s going to be gone don’t sleep in I like that a lot don’t sleep in go ride when your friends are calling you to go ride I’ll say the same thing that I’ve like I’ve

Had kids come up to me and ask me for years and years like how do I be like you how do I get sponsored how do I you know it’s the same it’s always it’s like they just want to know how to progress in the sport right and it’s the same

Thing that I’ve told kids from the get-go it’s literally if you’re enjoying riding your bike if you’re having fun on your bike it’s going to show and people are going to notice that and if you keep at it you keep getting better and better and better at it and you’re still having

Fun and then you go to a contest and you ride and you have the tricks or the the skills to hang with everyone at the contest if they see you having an absolute blast you’re going to stand out yeah big time companies want to get behind people that are having fun yeah

How did you get sponsored uh my first sponsor was my dad [ __ ] yeah he drove me all over the country go to contest and stuff M and Dad shout out to pop old pop Wade um but like as far as bikes go my first like local bike shop they would pay like

Entry fees for like am comps back in the day and give me tires and tubes to take with me if I needed them you know when I came back I’d give them back I couldn’t keep them but um and then uh that was like Tanner bikes back in the day turned

Into Elite bikes for a long time uh those the guys that ran that shoper the dudes I grew up riding with those old school freestyle and then uh shout out to Gary Prader AKA sport um but Bike Company wise bikes was my first like bike sponsor and is there a video that got

You there or no actually I had sent out the the sponsor me tapes I did the whole sponsor me tape thing I sent it to a bunch of different companies and uh didn’t hear back from anybody and then I went to a contest in Dallas it was an

ASA event actually shout out to ASA you did a double flip over that big box it was the one with the huge roll in and and like the 16t deck box just best trick that was the next day when I I broke my leg I had met I had met uh Rob

Nollie at the skate park ear earlier like a week or two before that and he basically vouched for me him and uh Jason Cox like because Jason Cox used to ride for GT back in the day they basically vouched for me to ride in the

Contest the two of them and so I got to ride the best trick comp Steve in who started Mutiny Bikes and owned Mutiny Bikes back in the day he saw me ride at that event and was like oh snap so he hooked me up with a with a frame and

Which I broke the first day I wrote it and then I got another frame I called him back like hey I broke this Frame and and his his wife was like don’t send him another frame and he was like no I’m gonna send him another frame and then

That I rode for Mutiny Bikes for like nine years after that I think but uh and then it was kind of a snowball from there I started going to events and then just getting picked up kind of picked up but I’m I am it’s super interesting hearing people’s especially an

Established Pro like yourself like the initial like bump of like oh there was there was a Dallas company called axis shoes I rode for for a little bit they the parent company was actually hey so my paychecks all had hey oh no way yeah that was pretty dope and I wrote for

SNAP snafu back in the day too when Mike Collins was doing TM stuff for Meo [ __ ] yeah but COI has some crazy sponsor stories as well cuz he was on the Schwin the the Schwin of money how’ you get sponsored the first show I ever see is a

Schwin freestyle team or like the first major show I saw I saw some like I saw some fast break shows and stuff with with hero and Matt but uh first like real Pro like BMX show like had Jay Miron davle Pat Miller like it was just Headliners it’s like and like Andrew

Ferris and who else was doing that one uh oh oh the GT team was downstairs was robn John Parker like it was like The Starlights of freaking mid School BMX I was like why am I not going to go to this like I’ve seen all these people

Like in all the videos and like magazines I’ve been watching like I want to you know I want to see this live and I meet Micah cray so that’s how that’s how me mic and I like and uh ever since then like I was like that was like the people those like

The dudes you know like uh I actually got Pat Miller’s chest protector from Micah and then when I got on Schwin POA gave me jir On’s like it was it said Miron on the back of it that was the first time I when I met koi he was

Riding around Woodward with the Miron helmet on and I was like ex who J Miron and then I was like that’s not J Miron who’s this foury freak who’s this foury freak Darth Vader right for lens I’m going to pull all these things eventually a clip of K’s first double

Flip okay ins start the clip [ __ ] future me how did uh Schwin happen and then be your advice to a kid trying to get it today so I snuck down to uh to do a show in Alabama with Matt wilham we drove all the way down like all night like all

Through the night we drove down to was like Huntsville Alabama or you passed by Seth Kim brro no no this is like this is this is 19 this is9 nice say our age so I’m whatever so we’re coming back from a show and he’s like hey I’ve got this

Chance to ride this X Games qualifier in the Nashville X trials and uh I wrote an ex trials a year before that in ’96 or a couple years before that 96 uh I rode an amateur EXT trials and I won I won vert and got like 10th in in park or it was

Street back then it was only called Street the street was Park so uh that was my first experience ever were competing never could I couldn’t even drop in but I could air I could air like eight or nine feet and for some reason I didn’t know how to drop in and that day

Like all the like well you can’t you can’t you know we’re not going to let you win if you can’t drop in so like they made me drop in during my run oh yeah like my first time dropping on a Burt ramp and I was like oh and then

Like I was like oh my gosh it’s so much easier you’re so much more SK like working my like starting at the botom you start at the bottom so Kevin Robinson always used to yell me stop starting on the bottom like this is what I’ve learned and like I knew how to get

To the ramp by like just pumping the ramp and learning all about the transition like I was a big like science dork so I love interesting that’s funny I didn’t know that that’s funny uh so anyways we uh we end up at the contest uh Jimmy Walker’s there he’s the guy

That brought me up and like taught me how to ride vert uh he convinces Matt he’s like he’s like Matt there’s no there’s no other like guys riding in the ver cont you just said you learned how to ride ver from a skateboarder Jimmy Walker Oh I thought Coleman I thought

He’s know no I was like Jimmy Jimmy Walker shout out Jimmy Walker Jimmy another four guy with four eyes yeah to like I met somebody that actually had the same like glass like we both had like same thick glasses thick glasses you guys are both gypsies you

Can see in the future with your glasses so I’ve got lasic now but I didn’t realize the whole time I’ve been like riding riding a ramp just doing tunnel vision the whole the entire time night vision goggles basically you just feel like you’re in a tunnel like how I wrote were they red

Could you see other dimensions look it up it’s on the internet I landed in another dimension a few times yeah you’ve been to the other side brother you’ve definitely been to the other side no but uh so so Jimmy convinces uh Matt and this is my first time ever meeting

Matt hoffen so I’m just like this is this is like an epic moment and Matt comes to me he’s like hey man uh you’re 18 Jimmy’s like grabs grabs the waiver he’s like he’s 18 I was 17 at the time and uh like M just like here sign this

And Jimmy’s like sign the paper I sign it and all of a sudden like Jimmy comes up to me he’s like hey you’re not in the you know you’re not really that good but he’s going to let you ride practice and you just hang out and like get get

Autographs and stuff on on the deck so I’m up top just like getting autographs from all these [ __ ] probes that I’ve been like looking up to my whole life and like they kind of saw me ride practice a little bit and I’m like sto

And like hey can I get a like get the [ __ ] out like they’ like push me aside be like what what is like I didn’t know like I was competition I had no idea like this is this is what competition is like and like this is my first

Experience like seeing these people and I’m like dude these people kind Co you had a contest trying to get autograph that’s so funny must like what the heck going I was like I was like these guys like I looked up to I thought you guys

Were punk rock and it was just a bunch of like weird meat headman rappers R rappers there was a lot of like guys that were just like trying to get in the vert thing because there wasn’t that many people that did vert so like they

Would just like drop in and make a check or something like that so there’s a lot of that weird mindset kind of going on but uh I just came to just I wanted to ride the ramp I was like dude that’s the first time I get to ride a ramp that’s

Not scrap was like 25 ft wide so now I’m like hitting a 65 or 60 or 30 you know foot wide vert ramp for the first time like like a kid in the candy store just like how old were you everything uh 17 17 and it was a Nashville X trials and I

Ended up qualifying into finals like like six or seventh or something like that and uh getting getting top 10 I don’t even remember what I got maybe ninth or eighth um but I took somebody spot away from Gravity games at that contest and that’s when I was like on

The deck after the contest like hey can I get your autograph you took my and then that was your first invite to the gravity games they like [ __ ] you no so your advice to kids is steal other Rider spots yeah well I wasn’t invited to the contest I didn’t I was technically I

Wasn’t even part of supposed to be a part of the series or anything and everybody’s been competing all year for the X trials trying to get into X Games and these are like points and whatever blah blah and Matt’s like dude I heard about this kid that rides ver in Chicago

You’re in like literally had that like so you you don’t get that nowadays which I like that I kind of think that’s part of the freestyle like aspect of that like unknown local Rider that just shows up and just like like Morgan story you know like just show there should be more

Open qualifiers everywhere like the local hero comes up qualif especially like being from the Midwest uh that wasn’t that far of a drive it wasn’t that far of a drive and like Matt was already there for something else and like I just happened to be there and it was just like and I

Actually literally had all my papers signed to join the military I had like everything done when I turned 18 I was going to boot U I was going to um it’s not boot camp uh basic right the Army version but getting on Schwin has got to be a lifechanging event especially back

Then I wasn’t even on Schwin yet like this is just at the contest I get this spot I don’t know what I’m going to do because I’m like supposed to leave for for basic in like a few months after that and uh I just get a call when I get

Well I get out of the contest I meet this guy Mark skiro shout out skuro um I got on Oak somehow hell yeah like without without anything he just keeps like I I don’t I don’t even know I don’t have a budget I don’t know what the [ __ ]

I would do with you but like I need need you on my team is it was it was it because of you’re riding ability you’re riding ability or because I’m not trying to be rude here because you had four eyes little bit of both I think well

Like so I got I got on to the clothing brand so this is the first year they got on Oakley clothing but he’s like I will get you glasses for the rest of your career hands down 20 years on the team Oakley Oakley paid for his La he has

Oakley lenses in his eyes my eyeballs no but uh uh yeah when when I got out of ringing Brothers I literally I went around I was like dude I I can’t even afford these glasses like I was like D glasses are expensive they’re like two

Or three grand to get an Oakley pair of glasses right and then like I was just like I’m just going to get Lacey as soon as I can save up enough money and then uh one day I last R my kidney and then I

Got Lacey there you go so I was like I had to sit down for a month I got to do something so I got lasic Instead at at the peak of your BMX career what what was the most money you made in a year contests and sponsors and

Everything there was one year it was it was like the 90 to like 100,000 [ __ ] yeah COI was the first person K was the first person I knew that had the Mercedes uh SUV hell yeah but that was just from like like weird so so I didn’t

Know that much about taxes but they’d send you all those like the forms like this is how much you made off the company yeah I taxes don’t tell anybody K hey Ki ain’t paid taxes in like eight years he Grand in loans I got I got audited just

Remember I got audited so they IRS they’re going to follow they got to see I already got audited I’m I’m good now FBI I we’re here for want their money Bobby CO’s name is not even Koji this is let’s not go there it’s not his name yeah koji’s his middle name

Marketability thing Co is his middle name no my my real name is COI but uh it’s his middle name Co his name is coochi it’s C show government ID where that’s your first name coachi my first name coochi craft like coochie but coochi what is your name coachi a Aon a

Aon yeah no there was an Al contest about that if they could name my first like my my name you get like a discount coupon nice shout out to Al shout out Al look at the shirt oh you got the Alby shirt on the you got the AL shirt on from

2004 so Mark flip is the first person that sold me my first real BMX bike like the one I had before that was like a piece together from like my brother and sister like bikes and stuff but it’s going to go everywhere that’s why I’m glad that’s that’s why I’m glad that’s

Why it’s important in the beginning we say Koji took some edibles because because when people are watching they going to be like allegedly what the [ __ ] is he talking about we people went in like there’s people that are watching this at went and to True their wheel and

They’re coming back in the room they’re going he’s still [ __ ] talking he’s still [ __ ] talking COI I mean I’d say you you you seem like you sobered up pretty goodi back to the original question what advice COI what advice do you have for young people on the come up don’t do Edibles

Kid fight the power that’s good advice Co no I mean I actually agree with Ron what he said like what do you give what do you give a young kid that wants to be a part of this or like do this forever like you you have to love it like keep

Going [ __ ] yeah like there’s no reason stop I want I want to I want to say something I know that I hog the microphone but I this is important um to any anybody out there that’s riding that that is upset with BMX or you want to

Make BMX better the best advice I can give you is cultivate the sport I I shouldn’t even say sport I’ve misspoke there because I don’t ever use the term sport when I’m talking about BMX I use the word culture and what I mean by that is when you guys

Are at skate parks and you see kids that are just starting out go spend 5 minutes with them just go introduce yourself to them and help them out because it that makes all the difference in the world and I’m in a super awesome position where I’m with superstars at all times

So when I see kids I can go talk to them for a second I’m like hey you want to meet X Games medalists and they think that I’m bullshitting and then they have that that forever moment of of you know oh my gosh I met really cool guys and

They ride BMX hell yeah I’m going to do this cultivate that [ __ ] like when you see somebody the kids at the skatepark or wherever you’re at that are getting into BMX be friends with them be cool with them because the internet is not what BMX is it’s about this right here

Internet being yourself seriously yeah it’s all fun it’s all fun don’t cut your [ __ ] bikes in half God God I just like wish I had that you know what I do like about that and this is all I’m going to say is that he cut he cut the

Bike and and then he bought two new ones so support the industry no biggy I love it and Sean’s always been a [ __ ] talker so I love it uh all right we got it all dude I I like I want to do individual [ __ ] with each of you like just do it with

Us what happened here see what happened what happened here coach what happened was coachi allegedly allegedly none of this happened oh man is allig we do it again maybe virtually in the in the future get more in depth same with you 100% let’s go same with

You dog yeah chill all right thank you for what you’re doing thanks to everybody that supports this this is this is BMX this is real we appreciate y’all okay thanks for watching have a good week coachi craft boom okay thank you for watching I hope you enjoyed that as much as I enjoy

Just being here what is life dude thank you guys for coming on appreciate you and and uh we’ll see you all next week

    1. This channel is so great, especially this episode which covers so many interesting topics across the board. It just kept getting better and better! I enjoyed it so much I downloaded the episode as I am sure I haven't heard it all the first time. I've had the pleasure meeting and going on a SNAFU tour with Morgan in the late 2000 to Oklahoma City, OK and I stayed with him and Corey Martinez in a hotel room the first night. I was jet-lagged and they ended up putting everything possible on top of my bed and my body while I was sleeping hahaha. Telephone, Iron, small table, chairs you name it hahaha Good times and Morgan is just awesome on and off the bike. Catfish is a living BMX library and I've had the chance to meet him at the Rebeljam in Berlin in 2005 (I think). There needs to be a Catfish episode. Awesome guy! never met Koji but always been a fan of his unique style and I hope I'll have a chance to meet him someday. Thank you for this channel Bobby and looking forward to what's to come. 2. Morgan seems a great guy, but I wouldn't necessarily give credence to his view on CTE next to well documented neurological data or talking to an actual neurologist. The argument that you've hit your head and aren't depressed is similar to saying,'My uncle smoked for years and didn't get cancer. Therefore, there is no link between smoking and cancer.' Also, it misrepresents CTE as a mental health issue, when its most reported symptoms are related to cogntion similar to dementia. Just to be clear, though, Morgan is a legend of BMX, and seems an awesome guy. I don't think he is deliberately being misleading. I hope he hits that 28ft one handed invert!
