A classic hill climb, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Near the village of Castleton.

    This climb is steep, extremely challenging and stunningly beautiful.

    As you ascend up a lime stone gorge.

    Be ready for 20% gradients.

    The famous winet pass climb is found by Castleton in the Peak District you first have a warm up for a third of a mile at an average of 8% then the real fun starts as you cross over the cattle grid towards the Gateway of this iconic Limestone Gorge of aine half a mile

    Between the two cattle grids at an average of 15 1 12% with a maximum of 20% the sheer size of the slopes either side of the road make you feel so small increasing the intimidation of this clim go around the second Bend and over the second cattle grid and the gradient

    Eases massively as you reach the end of this clim
