Second I’ll show you where glass and duck is so uh people know like olston that’s up there uh and if you come around here you get to gra over Sands and then you coming down here you get to moram Lancaster and G and Ducks down

Here B and duck was known for um farming and fishing but it actually exists because uh the area Lancaster was uh the third biggest port in the end of the 1700s in the UK trading stuff uh but a lot of the boats were having problems getting into the um the port in

Lancaster down the up the liver Lon so glass and dock was built as an extra thing for that cuz it was easy to get here that’s where why it’s here but the population didn’t expand the hell of a lot because the ships didn’t need employees cuz they were just dropping

Stuff off so the community is still quite small so it didn’t expand that’s just a little bit of a stuff I’ll show you where I first came to well I don’t remember it but where I first came to glass and duck it’s just over there it’s

Over there that’s going to have a look and it’s also the bay cycle way so if you’re into cycling there’s some information for you see I fine tell up nor he on on the other side all right I’m coming over so we’re just going over the glass and swing

Yeah so it’s quite interesting we put this video and this this these photos in cuz the channel at the moment is more to do with Lancaster but it was kind of started up to document my dad’s old radios and that’s sometimes where you watch the shorts you see a lot from

Lancaster and then you see an older age or anything hey what’s that about so it was started to document radios in in the pandemic and I still do that so there’s a picture of my dad on the Channel with you with me and uh with the old car

Which was um I actually don’t know was it I don’t know what make of car it was cuz I’m not up on cars well people will know in the channel cuz we SL I remember I remember Avenger that’s it yeah I remember being in it but yeah that’s

A radio Caroline North weekend it’s coming in belting in Here it come comes from the radio Caroline ship and that’s in the blackw Esty which is like east Southeast gets bounced off satellite probably and goes to the transmitter of Ms radio Isle of Man and it gets uh broadcasted all over this Bay um for two

Days uh once a month it she’s the second week so I always listen to that in the second week um yeah so yeah that’s pretty good um well talking of boats the r Revenge are raising money yeah to actually restore it it wants to uh it actually

Wants it to take it back to it was originally a fishing ship and it wants they want to take it back to Grimsby and they need about £300,000 for um lots of lots of stuff they need to mend on it volunteers have kept it running for years and years but it’s

Rock the Boat the Ross Revenge the sea tend to use the cabins we used to use back in those days when we were younger fitter and didn’t need a small step ladder to climb up into the bun anyway this year I’ve temporarily moved cabins I’m now in you could have a cabin

In there n which in recent times has been the Peter Phillips Suite which is actually a nice cabin though as nice as Philips Suite is it’s not as nicely furnished as Shay Andrew Austin which is next door he’s got shagpile carpet down in there sh carpet

He has you should see it no floor tiles like some of us Andrew Austin has got lovely carpet in his cab and wait for it gets better he’s got underlay he’s living the dream down there he doesn’t mess about all Andrew really needs is um well he needs one of those drinks gloves

Maybe a chandelier hanging from the you know be like in the boat that rocks that F Andre is like the station manager character Quon we’re living the dream your face you got your TR I’ve got mine wouldn’t have a Wonder furor on and there’s the boat that rocked I think you’ve been on the Ross Revenge haven’t you yeah I went I went in with uh uh Paul wat from Radio Merlin years

Ago he used to run a pirate radio station on shortwave and it was on the Isle of sheppy so we went down with him and another chap called Ross uh um it was a right State then cuz it it just come off the sea it’s in better State

Now so you’ve actually been on it yeah yeah yeah been to we’ got pictures somewhere yeah and the uh the radio money Studio was still there the radio Caroline Studio was still there and the world mission radio studio all covered in dust was at the bottom uh cuz it had

The 80s Ross Revenge had three stations from it not just radio car Caroline so monik was a Dutch station um which is very very popular um because it was in the sea it’s like off off the coast of uh um the Southeast coast so radio carolin’s

Um signal didn’t just hit the UK it also hit Holland and stuff like that so it’s got a lot of fans from there and obviously radio monik I think I think I think they had quite a big um listenership and World Mission radio was um messages from God from xan

Maba I’ve said that right yeah and if you wrote to him he’d pray for you and send you leaflets each week which each month which my dad wrote to and he used to get Lea all the time he prayed for my father I think he was on radio North Sea

As well in the 70s Jo and mabar so it was quite it was quite eccentric right here we go let’s go back round oh I’m gone I can’t get down here oh here we go oh you take me some places I’ve got me Adidas train or you take some places you do

God imagine how many Goods And Trades being Fe years ago they they take some turn GL I’m not doing that do me anarak bit that’s what they call people that uh uh very eccentric about radio or very enthusiastic so do radio bit uh talk about Medway first

We’ve said Caroline know on this weekend great program from them like usual Sunshine which was on 885 went a week or two ago uh in the afternoon now anaris were Crush because they hope they were going to do a Clos Down Show in the evening because medium

Wave actually um travels further in the evening and we might have been able to get it at night but now we Clos it down in the afternoon with not much fun fair so and it was an interesting uh station uh it’s from shopshire and it was originally based on a pirate radio

Station in 1970s and it got a license in 1991 for 885 still on FM but uh the the the the original transmitter was been there for 31 years has gone um other thing on medium wave everyone’s worried about at the moment is Radio 4 and long wave is going the 1981 uh end

Of March uh and that transmit has been broadcasting all way it broadcast from has been broadcasted since 1937 now there’s a few little little medium wave transmitters that do radio for that fill the gaps in for the long wve one and we think they’re going to go

At the same time so on this Coast there’s Caroline in the moment and we go down to the bottom we get one on 720 and I think it’s from northern islands let’s have a look there you go apologized unreservedly for remarks see allegedly made so if you’ve

Got an old radio you can still get radio for on medium wave um but that might go so um we’re hoping it won’t but uh um yeah fingers crossed uh today Sunday so it’s a you get a lot of free radio stations on shortwave on this Coast there’s two that are coming

Through really really well so if you’ve just started listening to shortwave um on a Sunday uh you’ve got weekend music radio uh and this comes on really comes up really well on this coast and it’s broadcasting on 6290 so that’s that’s a good one on a Sunday to look for and another one that’s good to look on a Sunday that’s it used to procast 247 till about two years ago uh but it started to turn up again just on Sunday I think maybe

Saturday as well and this is a great signal is I can’t getp laser hot hits and they’re using 6205 so there’s another good one to look at if you want to buy a short Rave radio there’s lots of digital ones you can buy for about 100 quid some of the lower

Test guns are about 100 quid I think it’s a 303 and they’re pretty good this is an 808 this was 280 quitted uh I wouldn’t start with one of these but it’s got a really good speak on it So have a quick flip see if there’s anything else about there’s something there that’ll be Dutch I should think there’s something on 6275 as well don’t know what that is a lot of the Dutch stuff comes through in the evening so as we’re getting it’s starting to go

Dark and it’s evening a lot of this stuff that we’re getting is Dutch that’ll become louder as it gets darker that signal will get Louder and I think that’s it over There shortwave radio that’s radio Europe and 6130 uh um that’s licensed um uh that’s licensed from Holland or Germany I can’t remember that always comes through really well but only does continuous music so it doesn’t do proper um kind of programs like we can read radio and hot laser hot does

Unfortunately um which is really shame that’s Channel 292 I think that’s licensed uh uh Neverland’s way as well I think um I struggle to get that sometimes but you can just about get It sometimes get something on to 6 800 yeah something something on 581 out bit cut ey Joe yeah don’t know who that is there one there yeah but the main ones to look out for on the Sunday is 6290 weekend music radio and Laser on 6205 pretty decent signals to catch on this Coast it radio monic International was saying was radio monic on the Ros Revenge ship well this is a radio Mony International is a tribute to that a free radio station comes on short W for a couple of hours on Sunday with Bart Zaman good signal as Usual all right he’s coming this is their call sign so everyone knows that they’re coming on in Terra Hawks hello hello hello this radi mon National 63 all over Europe good you are on yeah baby my name is uh yeah all the crew here in the Studio let’s fun this is Radio Monique International with your sexual guarantee sexual guarantee I might give you a message see if I can get a get a get a mantion and uh well uh of course you love to know a we got sent an email were you under
