After a long ferry from Sardinia to Barcelona, we spent nine days bicycle touring Northern Spain in early March. We rode past the spectacular Monserrat mountain after leaving Barcelona before riding through long stretches of farmland and many medieval villages. After Huesca, we ventured into an amazing stretch of sparsely populated mountains to make our way to Pamplona.

We incorrectly pronounce Pamplona as “Pamploma” like 5 times throughout the video. We’re very sorry.

  1. Great images. I like the mood with the grey sky and the rain. I already went to Pamplona and the whole North-West area of Spain (I do not live very far from there). You should definitely visit San Sebastian, and the French West Coast (Saint-Jean-De-Luz, Biarritz, etc.).

  2. Hey Guys…..another great video….really enjoying your Travels 🙂 Just wondering what level of bike fitness you had before setting off on this journey?? What sort of mileage are you knocking out most days?? Average….

  3. Another great video team! We're about to fly over and start our trip (arriving in Netherlands the week after next) so it's been great to re-review all your videos 💕

  4. Another awesome video! Just about to head off with the misses from northern Italy to Antibes in France then down to Mallorca for a bit. Keep up the great work and thanks for the inspiration!!

  5. Lovely to see your video again !
Indeed, it does rain in Spain!
As always, you two peddle away
With sunny display, night and day
    Making daily gain
Through the plains of Spain !

  6. Cycling in the rain and cold and snow is miserable. Been there done that both cycle touring and commuting where you have no choice but to ride in bad weather to get to and from work.
More filming of places you visit would be nice. I realise weather can be a big factor preventing this.
Tip you can film what ever you are talking about and not have the camera pointed at you so you take up 75% of the shot and we the viewer are none the wiser of whatever you are referring to.

  7. Just found your channel and I'm binge watching your journey. You two are amazing packers or you really travel light. Most bikers have a dry bag on top of the rear rack.

  8. You said it isnt a problem to bike in the rain. But hadnt you any problems with sweating underneath that plastic clothes? Ya I know they are breathable but I m soaked with sweat as soon as I do a few miles.

  9. Very nice to watch. Easy on the eyes, yet plenty interesting just watching you guys riding your bikes. Occasional comments help to punctuate the flow of beautiful vistas and the passage of time.

  10. Hello! Next week 6-10th march i will cycle your route, i found it on your website. It looks amazing, looking forward!
Did you have a lot of encounters with dogs? Are they aggressive? Bit scared of them…

  11. As far as i remeber your brakes were mechanical discbrakes? How do you like your brake setup after all these kilometers? Sometime you can hear them squeaking in your videos. Would you choose the same setup again or go for hydraulics rather? Anything else you would change maybe.

    All the best Jesche.
