Amsterdam calling so pick Up hello all and welcome back to Amsterdam calling where allice is leaf Lo and leer and uh yeah this is going to be uh the next part of our incredible istrian adventure and before we start I just have to say that um yeah I think we made a great choice basing ourselves in
A Ravine and uh driving to all of the places that we want to see around in istria they’re only what 30 to 60 minutes away so that proved to be very convenient and uh worthwhile to do so anyway uh we’re going to see more small towns do some hiking uh or do some
Nature walks so who knows what wonderful adventures await us today but anyway let’s go explore and incredible istria Together the yamama Bine cave is an underground geomorphological natural Monument 8 km outside the town of porch the cave is 132 M deep and is accessed by a series of 275 stairs traversing through five Rooms here you can see the incredible stalagtites and stalagmites which were formed over thousands of years of dripping Water now after going down 275 steps you’ve got to go up 275 Steps wo just came out of the uh the jamb badine cave and uh boy it uh a lot prettier a lot more stuff down there than I uh imagined uh very cool and they even had these little animals that look like salamanders that are blind and they
Live down there in the darkness and uh I was able to film One [Applause] I’m at the restaurant deino in porich and uh it was recommended by an article I saw while doing research online about what to do in the city and uh yeah it’s a lovely place on the water on the Harbor and uh since uh we’re in
Istria and istria is known for truffles I am going to order the sea bass with uh black truffle sauce and scampy the town of porch is a popular travel destination known for its surrounding beaches and Old Town with narrow streets ancient buildings and the euphrasian [Applause] Basilica [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] all [Applause] So today’s hike is on the parena trail which basically starts in triest Italy and goes all the way to porch I he in istria I I forget it’s a very long uh Trail and it’s mainly for uh mountain bikers and bikers but you can hike along
It as well so finding uh hiking trails here in istria has been sort of a challenge there’s a lot of information online and that’s where I found most of our hikes well not most but uh we’ve only done two or three but um yeah but the specifics and the details about
Where to start where the parking is and all of that is um very unclear so you have to do uh you know a little guess work and um some research on your own and sometimes you just have to just go for it and hope for the [Applause] Best the parizon a trail uh used to be an Old Railway line and at some point they took it out and they made it a uh mostly a biking trail I mean you can also hike on it like we’re doing you can really see how they carved out the
