Whilst many motorcyclists flock to the Wild Atlantic Way every year, very few are aware of the secret hidden mountain pass just around the corner. Hidden away in the heart of the Connemara Mountains is a motorcyclist’s dream come true. This little-known mountain pass provides stunning views and hairpin bends as it snakes its way through the landscape. Luckily for me, with the help of locals, I was able to hunt down one of Ireland’s best-kept biking secrets. If you’re looking for an adventure, this is it!

    1. Ohhh my god?! What happened? Guess we won't now until next episode. 😂
It's so cool to watch your videos Saffy! Me like.
You are talking about mountains, valleys and such. In Norway we have those in abundance. For good and bad. Anyway, the weather in UK seems very similar to wearher here in Norway. Rain one day, sunny the next. 😅

    2. New subscriber and insta follower here… actually found your channel when looking for tent ideas for touring.
The absolute most relatable part of the whole video for me was the parking! For some reason, especially when I want a picture, my brain just fails and I end up spending ages manoeuvring or moving the bike etc. Had a good little chuckle! Enjoying the channel, relatable content!

    3. Awesome video as always – I think your throttle bodies are a little out of sync though. It won't harm the bike and they do drift over time, but it's what's causing the reluctance to start (that you solved approx 3min 10secs by adding throttle). Dead easy job, takes less than 10mins – mention it to whoever is changing the sprokets & chain when you get that done.

That rumbling at the end… your back sproket looks ok (I rewound & paused a few times to see the teeth), front should be OK but could be rounded early due to the loose chain. I noticed the engine/FI light was on as you got off the bike, and I didn't see you hit the kill switch… so it could be electrical (and if so, it's likely a ground circuit that tripped the FI warning).

Of course, I could just be catastrophising too, and this is just your way of making me watch the next video!

    4. I have pulled into many parking spots wishing I never did so In my declining years, I realized that my legs do not like being the reverse gear for my Motorcycle. Your content is phenomenal, may be time you head state side and take a mountain sightseeing trip. Here is what the Colorado Mountains Look Like Via Two Wheels (just an amateur youtuber but love motovlogging) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O26WcqTp4Ec

    5. I ended up riding similar roads here yesterday. All the time I was cursing the GPS and saying things like "Kawasaki didn't have these roads in mind when it developed my bike" and "if I drop this I'm f**ked, there's no way I can lift it!" But I did enjoy my day out. Great video Saffy and a cliff hanger too!!

    6. Try using your kickstand to turn around in tight places. Get off the bike, put the kickstand down (make sure it's on a hard surface), lean the bike's weight on the kickstand, brace your hip against the bike, hold the bike by the handlebar and the frame (near the seat), then rotate the bike toward the desired direction. Voila! Happy trails, Saffy. 👍❤

    7. Leave us in suspense on what has happened, I know the feeling of the luggage mishap, I did not feel it move because the zipper had gone on the top pack got to my destination and only had half my clothes.

    8. that chain is nakered , the links look seized and it looks TOO tight !
you need to lube it every day on tour
      even Oring chains
snd know your free play for your bike
chain too tight and full load = one hot buggered chain FAST

    9. Hi Saffy. I love your videos! I’ve just passed my DAS and took my first moto-camping trip this weekend. I used a lot of your tips ❤. Please can you tell me what chin strap you use for your go-pro? P. S. I’d love to take a trip with you some time 🙏

    10. It’s so thrilling & nail biting to find out what happens in next episode. It’s like Eastenders or Corrie lol Saffy we need more trips please after Ireland. Somewhere where you can’t loose or break anything x

    11. Great video saffy Ireland sure is a Beutiful part of the country your meant to be taking it easy on the bike lol if you break down your in a world of hurt just hope the bike is ok take care and be safe look forward to the next shenanigans haha 😬👍❤️

    12. Saffy you will find plenty of these rounds in Ireland. The back roads are fantastic to Explore. Leitrim has many of these such back roads. You are welcome to take a look at my channel and see for yourself. You may already be further up the coast.

    13. Nice video. However there was a better way to Kenmare, Head for Glengarriff and go north from there through the Caha Pass. Glorious…

    14. Hey your overloading my OCD can you please tidy up your wiring or we will have to start calling you Saffy Spaghetti Sprocket…..😂 love you channel ride safe 🏍💨.M

    15. Hi, do you us a sat nav or always your phone, what phone and phone holder do you use and do you ever find you loose signal don’t know we’re you going. Thanks in advance. M

    17. Hi 🙂 need some advice guys !! Sooo I’ve got my cbt ans passed my bike theory. I’m 22 currently in uni and don’t have a car licence or theory .. the idea of a bike is really fun and I would love to get one would it be cheaper ? Would I be able to really ride all year round and finally am I making a really bad decision 😂 many thanks x

    18. Next time you're in Kerry, you should try the Gap of Donloe – Talk about scenery!!

If heading back to Dublin, try the N52 route Athboy to Slane, nice road and then Slane Castle is lovely to stop and have a look at.

    19. You drove past my mum's house in harbour view on the road to courtmacsherry 😊pity she would have made you tea 🍵 stay safe 💪👍

    20. Wow I got scared watching that, it reminded me of the accident I had in Yorkshire on bridle ways, I dropped it on my leg and couldn’t get up, no phone signal and was lying under my bike for 3 hours wondering if it’s the end, then along came Royal Mail and rescued me, they really do go everywhere

    21. I think your sv was a bit out of its comfort zone! Can I suggest a Himalayan maybe for future adventures they are cheap to buy and run plus they will pull you and your luggage anywhere and over most any terrain.
Good luck with whatever your latest stumbleing block turns out to be😜🙃 x

    22. Saffy, we have to get you to America, the West part, on an ADV bike and take you on the Ring Ride of the West. Off road to see the wilds & go on an adventure!

    23. Typically i dont do speeding on loose gravel or pebble road, that’ll be main ingredient of front wheel sliding out of control, moreover tires aren’t for off-road track.

    24. Just got back from the black mountains! 38c and some off roading and wow the scenery.

However tech diffs so my 6+hrs footage was poo really. (mic was muffled so need to sort and the gopro angle). Meh but was fun on a 125😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💪

    25. I love that you still you found the happiness in riding despite all the bad luck. It's obvious your trail was a bit difficult because your bike is built for city ride or tarmac. Also, your mirrors are kinda huge just saying, it upset the looks. 🙃

In case you need to buy a new one. You need to wait for the new GasGas which will have 400cc Dakar Rally version production bike by 2024.👌Looking forward for the continuation. 😁

    26. Good morning nice lady you seem to be having a great time, woo hoo 😀 Good, but some of those side roads have loose chippings be careful nice lady

    27. I’m just about to set off on my first bike trip. Like you I’m severely limiting preparation for the trip as I want to experience and overcome problems on the fly as my Ireland trip is just the gateway to many many trips overland.
I’m socially anxious and don’t even know how to board a ferry, can’t wait 😂
      Thanks for the upload🙂👍
