  1. I had an EBB once. I hated it— I’d much rather adjust tension in the dropouts.

I have that exact bottom bracket in my hand standing here at home in my office as I say this. The overall quality seems fine for the product. But there’s not a lot of adjustment range in this eccentricity. Because there’s just not a lot of extra space to move the spindle around in a normal threaded bottom bracket shell. I installed this one on a buddies mountain bike, but he wanted to do something different before he ever went out and rode it. My only concern is that The set screws are very small steel screws that are going to eat away at the aluminum overtime.

  3. I have this one from this company. A different model. I’m not liking it so far. I can’t get the chain to tighten. I was using a chain tensioner and wanted to get away from that so I thought I’d get an EBB. I think I’m going back to the tensioner.

  4. I am using this on my mountain bike. The range of adjustment is not great so you may need to play with your chainring/cog combo. I was not able to get the chain tensioned for 32/19 but after dropping one link on the chain and using a smaller 18t cog, I was able to make it work. Even though the set screws are small, there are 3 on each side and it’s held up for me.
