Novisad is a really special place that still feels super off the radar for digital nomads!

    — VIBE & LIVABILITY —
If you’re staying in the center, it really feels like a small town and you can walk everywhere of interest in about 15min. It has a young, lively vibe, English is widely spoken, solid internet, super affordable day to day living, & it’s easy to find nice accommodation on airbnb (although of course you’ll get a much better deal if renting locally, long term).

    — VISA —
Most people can stay 90days visa-free, after which you can do a “border run” and come back for another 90days **this was true at the time of making the video — make sure to double check what the current rules are 😉

In the video I go into more detail about what our experience was living here for around 2 months (it was our 2nd time here – the first time we also stayed around 2 months). See below for my top recommended places to check out in Novisad, Serbia!

    — COFFEE —
Izlet in Dunavski Park (hands down best cafe!)
    Kafeterija

    — BRUNCH —
    Pascal, Kafeterija, Corso

    — VEGAN / VEGGIE OPTIONS —
    Vege Vegan (home-style Serbian vegan),
Sweet & Green (DIY salad bar + soups)
    Rekalibracija (vegan fast food),
Ananda (daily vegan lunch menu, fresh juices)
Noma Sport “Zdrava Hrana” (health food store with tempeh, tofu, dried goods, protein powers, vegan snacks etc.)

    — NICE DINNER OUT —
Project 72, Fish & Zelenis, Tokio Sushi

    — DRINKS & SHISHA —
Horus, Atrium Hammam & Spa (rooftop terrace – make reservations for sunset)

    — FUN STUFF TO DO —
Hang out in beautiful Dunavski Park (have a picnic like the locals!)
Walk / bike / skate along the Danube river
Hang out at “Strand” area on the river in Summer (although most people do not swim in the river – you can imagine why not)
Diskont Bar (cool hangout spot with techno / house music)
Go walk around the Fortress across the river (Sat Na Petrovaradinskoj Tvrdjavi)
Fushkagora Park (You can take Bus #74 from the center, Caffe Gorski smeško sometimes has live music in the park)
Eat home-cooked Indian Food at Beeraj Pub on Sundays (must book in advance 1 day)
Day trip to Sremski Karlovci (you can take train or bus), do some wine tasting, and eat at “Pasent” restaurant on the river!

    — FRESH PRODUCE & GROCERY —
Riblja Piaca (aka “Fish Market” although we didn’t see any fish, mainly veggies / fruit & home made cheese)
DM (for organic coffee, organic rice, lentils, coco / olive oil, ACV, supplements, beauty products etc)
Univerexport (next to DM in the center or in Promenada mall) – organic eggs, some health food products like tofu & vegan cheese, gluten free cookies, high quality chocolate etc.)

    — GETTING AROUND —
    we walked everywhere!
If you need a taxi: We used “SOS Taxi”, they speak English and usually come within just a couple minutes! +381 21450400
(In Belgrade, make sure to use the “Car Go” app, it’s common that random taxis on the street will overcharge with fake meters etc)

    Gyms… take your pick!

Hope you guys enjoy Novisad as much as we did 🇷🇸 💖 🤗
